I never want to pay any RB ever…but this guy, i am making an exception. I’d be thrilled
-
When people come at you for saying Fraizer has been the problem all along….Not everyone here ONLY watches the Bills. I hated this guy’s defense in Minnesota. It was always going to be that all over. It’s so unbelievably predictable and passive aggressive. I want my defense to make you react. Not sit back and hope for boredom and mistakes. For all the people that want to go for the throat on offense. That’s double for my defensive mindset. Make THEM uncomfortable. The only reason it ever “worked” here was because we had incredible talent on the backend. 21/27/23 were just flat out erasers. And If we played less than good QBs, we were going to embarrass them. This guys scheme is atrocious. Whatever we were, it would have been even better with an aggressive modern defensive mind in control. This move was 2 years too late but I’ll take it. So happy.

Howard Simon "Winding down" from WGR
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to CountDorkula's topic in The Stadium Wall
The crazy part about that with Schopp….he always says that. You never know who is going to be good in the draft and that teams might as well just use the Mel keiper brake downs as scouting reports. Saying it’s a crapshoot. But then he also ALWAYS says he wants to trade back to get more picks? If you don’t have any clue what you are getting, why is he obsessed with getting more picks? I guess if his idea is you never know, you want more chances…but if you have no clue then why is he so against using those picks for proven commodities? The way they act as if defenses and running games don’t matter drive me insane. I realize the game has changed but things aren’t just black and white. There is a considerable gray area between passing league and all you have to do is pass. Also, being aggressive on 4th down and kicking less FGs…fine. That’s understandable in certain situations. But there are also alot of times where it’s not the best idea. They go off these numbers as if there’s never a time to think. The information is wonderful and it should be used as a tool to make decisions. But it can’t be telling you what to do regardless of circumstances. For guys that almost never make direct statements and always follow up things with “that doesn’t have to be right” they certainly can’t be told anything about circumstance. -
Howard Simon "Winding down" from WGR
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to CountDorkula's topic in The Stadium Wall
Howard seems like a nice guy, wish him well. Obviously he is a true radio professional and understands how an on air program should move technically. Probably could have done radio of any genre. He certainly leaned hard into the old man, nerd guy. It was overkill at times and never once funny. My biggest issue with him is he simply knew nothing about sports. Maybe his schedule of having to get up early for the show made it hard for him to stay awake to watch? Or maybe he just didn’t think he had to try because he was around for so long. Him picking the Bills was such a big thing to those guys. They could have had the janitor pick the games and it’d be most likely more sensible. If you are a true die hard sports fan, it’s tough to find sports talk shows where you feel Impressed with their opinions. Other than the guys on gambling shows or a few film breakdown/old GM types…you usually aren’t hearing anything that moves the needle. But when it’s painfully clear that a guy knows close to zero, it’s tough. Jeremy is horrible. He tries to be like Schopp and succeeds by being wrong constantly. Coming up with ludicrous or factually incorrect statements to then use as reasoning for opinions is aggravating. Sal is certainly a homer, nobody can fight against that. But you can hear it in his voice because of how often he is frustrated by these WGR takes. Sal knows what he’s talking about but I think he gets handcuffed by not wanting to step on toes. I have heard him get very upset with Schopp before because these guys on WGR, truly are clueless about most things. It’s as if, Schopp, Jeremy and the most used young guy (they all sound the same) all get together and just decide the narratives to push. Never punting and going for 2 constantly, thinking defense doesn’t matter, wanting to pass every down, only wanting offensive HC etc. It’s like they take a tiny idea that has validity in certain situations and just run it to intolerable levels. And nobody can say anything to change their minds. A punt is a turnover…..That’s something that you’d hear an 8 year old say. These guys really talk that way. -
You won't know when it's our time
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
It definitely feels more like our time to me now that our DC is gone. I was basically just at a dead end mentally knowing this was going to be the same story on repeat…so glad that’s not the case -
I have wanted a dome all along. It’s just literally not happening. So, that’s just sort of it.
-
Are people saying this dome thing as a joke lol? Is there a way people don’t realize it’s not going to be a dome somehow? No gray area…it’s not happening

I really want to try and see what this guy could look like at guard. I’m not saying it will definitely work, but I want to see his physicality inside. I’d love to see if he can’t get hands on guys in tight spaces and not get exposed for his aggression. I want to see if that could possibly translate to a more physical inside run game. No guarantee it would work but I’d like to at least try it before we give up on him

Just knowing the things we do, his usage would probably infuriate me. McDermott would be giving the guy 9 carries a game for some reason and somehow rotating Hines in to just steal his rhythm. I’d love it if we did it but somehow our game day management would screw it up. -

I’m 100% all for it if it’s even remotely possible. We aren’t going to out pass Mahomes. We just aren’t. You have to be a little different. This is a way and I’m all good with it. That being said, zero shot of it happening. -
What kind of play do you get the most satisfaction watching?
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to Beast's topic in The Stadium Wall
I used to love watching Fred Jackson make 2 quick moves in the hole then dart for 30 like it was nothing. Early on Shady just making teams look silly was great too. My favorite might have been, out of nowhere, horrible Bills season Stevie Johnson. The guy would run after the catch in that first year like crazy. Take a 7 yard pass and get 45. I miss that. -

Every chance this kid had he made plays. Our own decisions are our worst enemy -
The guy couldn’t wait to get out of Buffalo but I’d definitely want him back

I’m a die hard bills fan from way down state…drive 7 hours each way to the stadium, Sunday ticket forever, listen to WGR every day, never miss a snap of the seasons. I’m Guna come at this from an alt end here being a big Rangers fan….stop. Stop trying to make the Sabres good. The Bills are among the Super Bowl favorites, I get it…people are having fun for some reason. The Sabres aren’t good. I’m sorry

Would you guys trade one of Elam/Benford/Jackson?
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
If it’s me Elam is our #1 CB and White becomes the crafty vet #2 that’s lost a step due to age and injury. I loved everything I saw from Elam. I can’t believe how hard it was for him to get on the field. Our pass defense was just shredded from week 3 on. It was inexcusable to sit a first round rookie CB with excellent cover skills. The things we do with game day roster management is embarrassing. The other 2 guys are just guys. If you can move 1 to S, fine. If I never saw either on the field again I’m not losing any sleep. -
Bills sign S Zayne Anderson to a 2 year deal
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
The bills better start buying up votes at these rule change meetings. STs hasn’t mattered in 15 years and this team is just obsessed. -

I’m not trying to be a dick but honestly, what do you think anyone is giving us for Jackson or Bedford? A 6th or 7th? Why bother -

I feel like our first step to becoming a better defense is going in a different direction at LB. Go get the next Spikes
