The dolphins are going to play us tough. Their backs are against the wall and jobs are on the line. We should be able do handle these guys but I’m not going to assume blowouts here. It’s the NFL. Not college football. You still have to play well or you can get beat by anyone. Got to pick up where we left off and keep playing defense

Absolutely that’s the case. It’s nothing against him personally. I just hate the way our defense is coached. And while I think he’s nowhere near an all pro level player now, he’s fine. But my issue is the coaching. No arguments

I think it’s going to be an unpopular thought here but I actually think the love affair with Tarron Johnson is a huge issue with our defense. He’s a good player. He might even be a little better than good. He’s absolutely nowhere near as good as he gets credit for. Teams have no issues converting 3rd downs on us, guys running wide open all over the place and he gets hurt multiple times a game. The other thing he does is make our coach believe we never have to put a 3rd LB on the field. They never want to take him out. Him being out yesterday was probably a blessing in disguise. I’m not saying he’s not good. I just feel like the overall game plan becomes a little more sensible when he isn’t out there. The coaches think he’s erasing things that he just flat out isn’t. He’s not 2017 Poyer and Hyde…Yesterday was a great day for our defense. Those days are few and far between.

I kept saying we can do a lot worse than this guy at backup. Came in cold off the bench and throws a dime on 3rd down with zero fear.

I live an hour from MetLife and hate the jets more than words can say. The day he got hired I said he won’t get to year 3. They hired the coordinator from the lions that was in charge of the bad unit. I’m not concerned about this guy whatsoever he’s horrendous. The Lions defense was the reason they couldn’t go further and the jets hired the guy responsible

I can not put into words how happy I am that we are playing defense. Idc what the offensive game plan is. We have the best player in the NFL at QB. We are going to win a Super Bowl WHEN the D holds up. This is awesome

Why are Jackson and Hancock inactive again? These are draft picks that were important to the defense this year. And we have 2 guys suspended and Ed Oliver is out. Our game day roster management is infuriating. Thank god we have Josh Allen

I want wholesale changes on defense. This doesn’t work. I don’t care what we did or how we think. It’s incorrect. I want to see 3 LBs on the field. I don’t care what that means for Tarron Johnson. Everyone loves that guy and fine, he’s pretty good. He’s nowhere near as good as they make him out to be. If he’s that important, move him outside. Stop letting teams run on you. Use a base defense. Blitz. We aren’t getting there with 4, I know what you want to do. It doesn’t work. Confuse the QB and send people the way Minnesota does. I want to see Benford following Wilson. Nobody else matters in the passing game. I want our best on their best. No more of this BS we do on defense. It needs to get better

I have lived an hour from metlife from my whole life. I hate the jets more than every other team combined. It’s not even close. I literally despise everything about them. Their fans are so clueless and loud and every year it’s the same garbage with them. They are a rival to me.

It’s 6 years to late. Although in fairness I have been saying it since then. I’m sure most people are painfully aware

“The Bible” because the book was written on it years ago. We have watched the same game by this defense for 7 years straight. 2017 it was good. That offseason teams learned how to get to it. We have still not changed. Our coach is only here because of defense but wins because of the offense. If we had an ounce of competence on that side of the ball, we’d have 2 rings. And it’s not the players. We have good players on defense. It’s 100% the coaching. We have 3 LBs that can run and cover and get mauled by every physical team at the point of attack. We are the one team in the league that can play a base defense every down and instead We play nickel more than anyone. We are stubbornly obsessed with doing what we want regardless of it working or not. If a good DC was here and had complete authority over the defense, we win the Super Bowl

Should have seen what Davidson had at punter. That would have given us some wild possibilities for fakes and he did a good job when he actually punted. Gives you a chance to dress an extra emergency te/wr that way too

The guys are obsessed with telling you at every turn how great Cam Lewis is…make this guy a full time FS. His current role is unnecessary and useless IMO. If the guy is so good, make him the FS and let’s go.

Make the Odd man out corner a S. That’s the idea. I don’t want to hear about skill set transfer. Think back…all the best S we have had are older or failed CBs. Whichever CB isn’t going to start, move him now
