The defense has been why we haven’t made it all the way for years and it’s the reason why we won’t make the playoffs this year. I don’t know why it’s so hard for people to understand. The offense is the only reason we are ever good.

I’m surprised that it looks like this guy might come out the other end here. I fully expected him to be gone before this next game. I’m not going to pass judgment here because it sounds like there are some inconsistencies but I’m surprised the Bills are going to stick this out.

There’s no chance McDermott gets fired unless there’s a non football related incident. Which you can’t ever completely rule out but still. I just want a new DC. Not a McDermott puppet. A guy with a totally different scheme and mindset. Could be a younger guy but it doesn’t have to be. I just want a new voice in the room and a different thought process on the way we play Defense. I’m tired of the zone, I’m tired of the predictable plan. I want an aggressive DC that will change up looks and make QBs uncomfortable.

If we can get out from under this contract then on the football side we got lucky. As far as the event, if it’s true inexcusable and get this guy out of here.

Martindale is going to be out in NY…that’s the type of guy I’d love to see here. Then maybe he can create an alt look at defense and maybe combine thoughts with McDermott to create something interesting. There is pretty much no chance it happens but that might be the one way im good with keeping McDermott. If it’s a different defense

Oh I’ll watch the game. If I could leave, I’d have been long gone a while ago. I’ll watch every snap of it pre season included. I’m a helpless idiot when it comes to this team. All they have ever done is hurt me but I just can’t stop showing up. Just got to hope 1 day it pays off but I’ll believe it when I see it.

Everyone always says that like we’re going to beat these good teams but lose to a bad one…when was the last time we beat a good team? The Billsy thing in reality is blast the bad teams and then come up with some insane way to blow a thrilling game to the teams that are a step up in competition. Play them right and find away to choke it away with horrible coaching.

Spikes and London together…short lived but that’s what I’d love to see now. We have 24/7/365 offensive complaints, even though it’s the best offense we have probably ever had for a 4 year window. It’s insane lol The defense is the problem. Hope 43 can turn into the next Fletcher and hope he gets in the hall this year. Very underrated player, good for him.

If you are counting playoffs then obviously all of those wins are it. Those are all the most important games this team has won in 30 years. Ravens is his best win period. Got us to AFC championship game and the defense actually was the reason for once Pats game was 2 Colts game we tried to lose but the offense wouldn’t let us. That was the biggest get one to the garage because we haven’t won one in forever and you just had 10 chances at the end to still blow it. You can really see a a lot about our future in that Texans loss and Colts win. This coach is a literal petrified buffoon against anyone where strategy is required. the dolphins game was a 3rd string QB keeping them in it until the end. Again the offense saved us. There is 1 game where McDermott actually did a good job coaching in the playoffs. It’s sad.

I know, it’s hard to blame anyone it was just a tough spot all around. Just have to mane stops. We had several leads and 2 possessions at times. It’s all on the defense to me. Zero chance I’m blaming anything on this offense

The ***** part is (I know it’s easy to say from tv) the dude was wide open, just throw it to him. Didn’t even need the option nobody was back there. Just put it on him. I know that’s not the play but sheesh

I want this coach fired as much as anyone but I want ti make the playoffs. Maybe it’s because I already know we are t making it that makes this easy for me. The season is over. It’s like asking about something that just isn’t even a possibility so if you tell me they can get in…I want it. I just know with this defense we have no shot against KC

What are you talking about? This defense is horrible. They played Zach Wilson twice (and lost once btw) The giants who couldn’t score in a 20 quarter game, the Pats who actually lit us up, the raiders, Washington and the Bucs….this defense is horrible. There are some people that aren’t going to get that no matter what, I get that. The defense was why we haven’t won a Super Bowl yet and it’s why we have lost every playoff game since Jacksonville. The Jags playoff game was the only loss that wasn’t on the defense. That isn’t even the same team now. This defense is the problem, it has been since 2019. McDermott Is the problem. Teams got tape on him after that first year and it’s been downhill ever since. That’s what really happened. The Safetys got old and they stopped erasing flaws on every snap. 27/21/23/58 made McDermott. The covered up all the flaws in his horseshit zone. They made it so he could be clueless and get bailed out by unbelievable skill in the back 7. You want to talk about number 2 WRs all off-season and How to use TEs….The offense is elite and has been for 4 full seasons. The issue is the defense. Either realize it and get us there or keep ignoring it and waste entire career prime windows.

I don’t understand why anyone expected anything of this guy to begin with. He never was any good then you had people talking about him as some fast slot savior. The guy literally sucks. Beasley was an all pro at one point and the guys on WGR act like he was a garbage pail that kept getting shoehorned into the offense. When we were at our best, Beasley was one of the main reasons. McKenzie was a good player too. Solid, made a lot of big plays for us and didn’t get a lot of chances. We couldn’t wait to throw dirt on him. But a nobody, backup scrub player like Harty comes in and we are celebrating it. His role in the offense is to reinforce the bench so it doesn’t blow away.
