Everybody always goes back and says how bad the Cowboys game hurt and the Jeff Tuel int chiefs game hurt, etc. And they did at the time.. But those were terrible Bills teams that were going nowhere anyway. The worst losses IMO, were the Steelers in 04 and the Raiders in 14. Those teams actually would have made the playoffs. Those losses were less dramatic in terms of the way we lost them. But so much more depressing, in the fact that those Bills teams were good.

Matt Moore has played well and out played the starter almost every time he has been given a shot. His QBR was 3rd in the league last year in the games he played. If you look at the dolphins offensives performance in seasons where Moore played, they look much closer to a top half team. That's not always the case with them. I am not in the practices to tell you why he has never gotten a look as a starter. I can only tell you what I can assume. The last few times when Moore's contract ran out, he chose to resign in Miami and stay a backup (Rather then go out and compete for a job with some other team)I'm not sure if that helps my case. Perhaps he is content with living in south beach, taking less hits, having less pressure and still getting paid. I can't give you an answer for why he has stayed a backup but it's not as if every coach in the league, always plays the best guy. We have seen players shine when given the chance in every sport. We have seen the Bills start QBs because of draft status and not ability, more then once. The best QB on a roster is not always the starter. Maybe the fact that he has stayed a backup is more about bad coaching and not about his play. All I know is that when we have played Miami in the past few years, I would much rather see Tannehill then Moore. Hopefully I am in the minority here, because all I want from the dolphins are losing efforts.

I don't care what anyone says. IMO, Matt Moore is better then Tannehill and Cutler. I would rather have Moore then a lot of starters in the league (including ours). Hopefully Miami is dumb enough to start cutler

Taylor looking real bad in camp
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to BuffaloBud420's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not saying I am buying this thread one way or another and this is something I have said before...TJ yates is better then people think. I'm not saying he's that good. Im not saying he should start, I'm not saying he will start...But yates will throw the balls that Tyrod is afraid to throw. Yates will force the ball into the playmakers hands. Yates has started and won a playoff game. If they give him an honest look, it will be closer then people seem to expect. I really like TJ Yates and I think if we actually gave him a shot , he may surprise some people. Tyrod seems to have been handed the job regardless, so I'm sure it won't really matter. But Yates will make plays if he is given a shot . He also will stay in the pocket and do what the coaches want the QB to do. -

For how long it's been since football was on, I don't care who plays. Il watch it and I'm excited. Football is back as far as I am concerned and I love it. -
Manuel was not given the chance to grow

I pray that he is somehow inexplicably given that chance in Oakland.... -

I wonder if NFL.com will have the free 7 day pass for the silly package they have where you can watch all the preseason games live. -
Shaq Attack - Sharks Never Sleep
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to ChanOverChin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought he actually wasn't that bad when he played last year. What Rex did to our defense made me so sick that it was hard to find anything good, but I actually thought Shaq was okay once he got in games. I'm kind of excited to see what he can do . It's almost like we have 3 rookies that will start on Defense that were all really high picks. White, Ragland and Shaq. Might be a fun defense quicker then we think. -
Stevie Johnson in Buffalo?
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Would have been nice to have a few years of Stevie woods and Watkins...thank god though for the mid round pick we got for him. Really made a bigger impact on our year then a WR coming off 3 straight 1,000 yd seasons -
I wish we would run it until the other team made us pass too. If you can control the game by dominating time of possession, limit their possessions by giving them the ball less and break the other teams will...you are probably winning . I don't understand why people are obsessed with every aspect of the QB. If you can get first downs and keep the clock moving and score, it doesn't matter how you do it. Also a lot of bad things can happen when you drop back to pass, very few bad things can happen when you run

Stevie Johnson in Buffalo?

No matter what his flaws are, it would be hard to imagine him being anything less then our 3rd best WR tomorrow -
Stevie Johnson in Buffalo?

That would be a fun few weeks for the fans. Put him in the slot and make it work. Being him back to the place , that he should have never left. -
Yates is a solid vet that can make all the throws and will put the ball where it needs to be. He has been around and seen it all. If given an actual shot, Yates will push Tyrod a little. He is a borderline starter and excellent back up. Yates has won more play off games in his career then the Bills have in the past 23 years.

It would be cool (if they do have to wear white) if they somehow got an exception to make a 90s era away color rush uniform, like the giants have. I realize you probably have to submit the new jerseys earlier then now, but maybe considering the nfl has put them in the position of playing the same team all 3 years and the clash of green and red, they would allow it.
-
The color rush jerseys are back for this season. For the third straight year the Bills play the Jets on Thursday night. The first time they played the Bills and Jets both wore their color rush colors. Apparently it was an issue for color blind people, so last year the visiting team was responsible for making other arrangements. This year, we will be the visiting team. I would have to think the jets will want to sell their own Green color rush jerseys and not go two straight seasons without wearing them. Will the Bills wear the red ones for another game? Will they just forget them this year? Maybe they will use the color rush game to go all white with the AFL's or maybe they will create a totally new all white one to wear against the jets? I realize that not everybody cares about this sort of thing and it's really has nothing to do with the performance of the team. I guess I am just curious if anyone has heard anything about it?

Most Underrated Bill of the Draught
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to Cheektavegas Charlie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Shady McCoy. In this drought we have had 1 legit, blue chip, all world superstar skill position player on offense. A guy that has an actual claim to being a top 3 player at his position. Outside of Jason peters, the one offensive player we have that nationally would get recognized as great. Still, when it comes to our own fans, you never see the credit given. Nobody ever stops to appreciate what we have in Shady. Bills fans would soon rather talk about the back up QB, or a WR that will barely make the team. Everybody on here (or the Bbmb) wants to talk about potential. What a guy might do if the stars align. Once a guy is paid, or is a name people outside the fanbase know, it's somehow not cool to support them. The guy is one of the most incredible players this team has ever had. Watching McCoy run is by far the most exciting thing about this team. There is no player on the Bills, current or past drought..that has been less appreciated by the fans. Honorable mention ; Travis Henry. We have had a lot of really good RBs in the drought and as little as that has actually helped, Henry is the one nobody ever talks about . The guy had back to back 1350+ yard seasons. The guy ran incredibly hard and no one person was bringing him down. He was a more physical Fred Jackson without the personality and likable back story.
