Lacanfora: Seahawks tried to trade for Glenn
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nah. Nobody here wants to give anything up to get better. Its not madden is away to say we will just accept being terrible on offense. Rather then move a 3rd for a Pierre Garçon or Keenan Allen or a 5th for a Kenny Britt...we will just get stifled on offense and waste another entire season. Got to save up all those picks so we can take the Zay Jones/Reggie Ragland/EJ Manuel/ any other of the usual busts we take. We over value the draft around here so much its sickening. 9 times out of 10 we pick the wrong guys. Lets make sure we laugh at anyone who wants to trade a pick for a proven player. An entire week wasted. I hope we can fix the run game here because we def wont be able to pass. -

Bills' Bye Week News

Fitz is the luckiest guy in the world. Every single team he goes to, hes brought in to be the back up. Yet somehow the starter always gets hurt abd he gets to play. I always liked fitz I hope he doesnt come back to haunt us next week. -

Dolphins are about to ruin this day for us -
Just had a brief convo with Donald Jones.

I think most objective Bills fans understand our passing game and qb are not good enough. Rather then try the other guy to find out if we can improve it, we will keep playing the guy that we know cant do it. Very sensible -
.500 is a winning record and Rogers brought them back against the Cowboys last week in the 4th. That was literally the most recent example available so without trying I will change the total of that record. Im not going to go back abd find more. Just figured I would put it in there since it only took 2 sec of thought.

I have said this before and if I was the GM this would be my plan: Take the KC first and trade it for cousins now and give him the big contract and extension. You can give them Tyrod too or a mid round pick if the first is not enough. That KC pick is going to be in the high 20s anyway and there are to many bad teams in the league. If you give up that first, we still would have our first and 4 other picks in the first 3 rounds. We would be in great shape now and come April. Just like ever year the draft class gets way over blown and the QBs are nowhere near as good as they say. If you trade for him now you only need to use the 1 pick to get your qb for the future. If we wait until the draft, it will cost a kings ransom to move up. You also then have to hope the team with the top picks dont need a qb for themselves. Lets not forget you are asking the Bills to then also identify which QB is good. Cousins has already proven himself in this league and he can help you now and later. If Cousins gets to FA hes going to go to SF. Make the move now and maybe we can win something with this Defense this season. Just because this type of thing doesnt happen, doesnt mean it shouldnt.

Ask Andy Dalton if Tyrod has it bad? That guy made the playoffs his first 4 years abd has actually done something in the league and still gets blasted constantly. Dalton cant win once he gets to the playoffs and is a running joke in most conversations. Tyrod doesnt even have to get there to keep his job for 3 years. How about Alex Smith? All that guy ever does is win. Yet because of the way he looks doing it, people act like he doesnt deserve the credit. The guy has done nothing wrong over the past 5 or 6 seasons but has his replacement standing on the sidelines. Not for nothing but how did that work in SF? Got Joe Flacco a ring...

Tyrod Taylor might be the 2nd best rushing qb I have ever seen behind early 2000s Mike Vick. Even if I was color blind I would be able to see that. He is an incredible runner. He is also limited as a pocket passer because of his height. He uses his mobility to keep plays alive and see down field. He reminds me a lot of Flutie....Not sure why everything in 2017 needs to be about race all the time.

Bringing him in would be doing something as opposed to nothing. At this point I would be pleased with any effort.

NaVorro Bowman avaliable
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bowman is a great football player. Id love to see him play SLB for this defense. Coach on the field, physical and makes plays. I just cant see it happening. I wouldnt mind him at MLB either but this staff appears to be a fan of the lead footed Preston Brown. -
Whats that have to do with anything? Arron Maybin was supposed to be one of the top pass rushers in the draft too. All that matters is what you do once you are in the league. We traded up to get a guy that is probably the 4th or 5th best we in that class. I dont care what he was supposed to be. He isnt better then the other guys. It was a terrible trade at the time and it looks even worse with every passing season.

We traded up to get the 4th or 5th best wr in that class. People on the BBMB actually tried to say he was as good as OBJ. The guys not even on the same planet as that OBJ.

Bills' Bye Week News
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Im sure you could have still signed them and gotten them into the playbook -
What does this actually mean? You are not allowed to trade for players in the NFL? This isnt Madden is such a waste of a post. If you think it would be unrealistic to get either of those two players for a 3rd, then you are delusional. The chargers are about to go into a full rebuild. The 49ers are already in it. Either team would jump at the chance to get picks and lose salary. Youre right, its not madden. But it has nothing to do with anything. The only thing unrealistic about my suggestion, is assuming this team would actually do something to try and get better.

Bills' Bye Week News
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So we had a shot to bring in some WRs over the bye and give them 2 weeks to get ready for Tampa and we did nothing? Hopefully our defense can hold teams under 10 points for a while because we arent going to score points. There is no excuse for not trying to get better at the WR position. Im far from a Tyrod guy and I dont think hes good enough but come on. Give the guy a guy or two to throw to. Its the same thing we did last year. Putting our current group of WRs on the field next Sunday is inexcusable. -

Contender for longest playoff drought in nfl history -
I was thinking of this earlier today as a joke but then I started really thinking about the levels of it that make it an interesting thought... What if we traded both our firsts to the Giants For Eli and their first? Then you have a qb that might actually help our team this year and next. And you also are gambling that without Eli they Finnish with the worst record in the league. And you then also move up in the draft (most likely) without the kings ransom you may need come the offseason. And you take a team that may take a qb ahead of you, out of the equation. We could potentially move up to 1 or 2 right now by doing that. And get a qb that despite recent struggles, could get us to the playoffs this season and teach the rookie we take with the giants pick.
