  1. I love the red helmets, but I also love our current uniforms. I think it's absolutely crazy that the nfl doesn't let teams wear more then 1 helmet color as some sort of anti concussion protocol? As if it would be impossible to get 2 helmets approved for safety? Also going against common sense where you would assume wearing the same helmet that gets beat in every sunday, would be less effective and safe then getting a brand new helmet each week...or at least that's how I would feel. If the nfl was smart they would let teams wear 2 helmets. Their usual one and then a totally different one for color rush. Then take all the helmets after the color rush, sign them all and raffle them off. Then take all that money and donate it to players family's with CTE and concussion research. Turn the color rush money grab, into something very positive. The league could use the good PR in an era of people just being !@#$s about anything that is successful. In that case I would ask for us to wear the 1999/2000 ish version of our away jerseys with red helmets as our color rush. But not red with the current. It wouldn't fit.
  2. There are still some guys that can play. I hope we sign a vet QB to backup Tyrod, even if it means keeping 4 QBs. I am thinking that if we draft a QB early enough in this draft to be considered a backup for 2017, then we must not like Jones that much. Therefore I can see us drafting a kid and still signing a vet. It seems like some teams maybe waiting until after the draft to ink a vet back up. If the draft doesn't fall the way teams hope, they will probably go out and add the Fitz, Kapernick, Rg3, cutler and Shaun Hills of the world. With how reckless our starting QB plays at times, I hope we have a capable guy waiting. Our HC comes from a team with a very capable backup QB, that has been called on several times to help out. My guess is he won't be satisfied with Jones and a rookie incase of emergency.
  3. I would be thrilled. The way I see it, WR is our biggest weakness. WR was already a major need for this team last year and we lost 1 of the few good ones we had. The way it looks today We have the worst group of recievers in the NFL. Unless we plan to throw less then 10 passes a game, we are going to need another good one. If we don't teams are just going to double Sammy and make one of these other guys beat them. Nobody else on this roster is capable of scaring anyone IMO
  4. I went to the game and was having a great time. It was close to home, I didn't have to worry about the result ruining my day. Beers, food, Cornhole...it was all good. The only thing I wanted was to see more Jones. EJ Manuel is the worst QB in the NFL and he actually made the game unwatchable. Thank god he's gone
  5. Maybe he sees Davis as a legit 1, take him at 10 and means Sammy is the 2....obviously that's a joke because that would be the last thing the Bills would ever do. They will take an avg #4 and start him. Then wonder why our QB can't crack the top 25 in passing numbers. If we don't take a WR early we will see Sammy doubled every week because no other WR on our roster will scare anyone. Hopefully I'm wrong about that, I just hope this is a smoke screen and we take a WR at 10
  6. If this guy is putting the piano back Preston Brown on the bench, then I like him already.
  7. As soon as the Bills sign a lesser known FA I look to see his rating on Madden. People can rip it all they want but it's of the better player rating systems available to the public. The way I see it we are looking at one of the worst WR groups in recent history. Don't expect to much respect from the game in 18 unless we draft a WR at 10.
  8. I'm not asking for RG3, but he does fit the skill set of Tyrod. If he went down during a game, RG3 would probably be able to cary out the game plan better then Jones. If you tell me the alternative is Jones? Then il take RG3 as the 2. If you go out and sign a vet backup that can actually be an effective accurate passer, then il take that guy.
  9. At this point a Vet backup QB is something I feel we need to address. If the reports were true about Jones, I feel a little less then confident about him. I would like to see a vet come in and stabilize the backup pos. When EJ was here we were always 1 hit away from an auto-loss...I don't feel much better right now. Go out and get a guy like Chase Daniel or even Fitz.
  10. Getting Zac Brown back wouod be the biggest positive move of the offseason to this point
  11. I don't know why we are playing around here. Just sign Z Brown. He was very good for us last year and is better then anyone else we are going to settle for
  12. I like Tate. Good solid all around player and was at times a pretty decent WR. Good re-signing. Sticking with the taller WR mold
  13. Except that he stinks. He was figured out by the league and is not good enough. Get a backup that can come in and not lose you the game for a change. Plenty of professional accurate passers that we could bring in.
  14. I think it was EJ. When you take a QB in the 1st round it does more for the future of your team then when taking a player at any other position. It stops you from taking another QB for the next few years and puts you in a holding pattern while you are assessing the guy you have. A QB will divide a locker room, a coaching staff and a front office. EJ cost several people their jobs and probably kept us from getting players that could have helped us. The guy would have still been there 2 or 3 rounds later and never got any better. He was outplayed by every QB on the roster, each year that he was in Buffalo and never got better. It was almost as if EJ hit his peak in week 2 of his rookie year and just continued to slide. Now he maybe the worst QB on an NFL roster. The main reason I will say EJ is because he is a QB. When you invest a 1st round pick on a QB, especially when he is the first QB taken in the entire draft, you force him over and over. The investment is to high and the position is to important. Any other position you just move on from. Maybin stunk but we just moved on. We didn't keep giving him a job because we took him in the 1st round. With EJ, Whaley had to keep forcing him on coaches and fans. They wouldn't just move on Eventhough he showed early on that he was incompetent. I think he is the worst 1st round pick in Bills history
  15. So we are looking at Sammy and a handfull of interchangeable #5 WRs? I would have rather just used the money Tyrod saved us to bring back Woods move him to the slot and then just draft an outside guy at 10. Tyrod probably took a pay cut figuring the Bills were going to give him more weapons this year. So far we have less. We certainly didn't start with a ton and now what we had, looks good.
  16. Hopefully the Bills get smart and resign Zac Brown but then in the ultimate irony, release Preston Brown 2 mins later. Right after he gets excited to have Zac back
  17. If you are a fantasy owner of Todd Gurley, you may have assumed he didn't play last year
  18. I'm pretty sure every player in the league would be available for the right price, save maybe a handful of real young QBs. The nfl overvalues draft picks in such a disgusting way, that you could probably get any player in the league for 2 firsts and 2 seconds. Outside of Winston, Luck and maybe Carr I bet everyone is "available"
  19. Oh my god...does this mean? It's finally over? For good? I knew this day would come, but I couldn't actually picture in my mind how wonderful it would be. No more EJ threads! The last 4 years felt like 30 but thank god it's over. See ya bud.
  20. Revis in a zone would be good. Don't ask him to run with the fastest guy on the field and the island is over. Darby and Revis on the outside in this zone with Hyde and Poyer behind them...I'm good with that
  21. Take Williams at 10 and Zay jones in round 2. Go Sammy and Williams on the outside, Jones in the slot. Philly Brown the 4 and whoever is the best ST player as the 5.
