Short passing in NFL by 538
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to BarleyNY's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He’s just not good. He’s not good enough and hasn’t been improving at an acceptable rate. I was at worst indifferent towards him until the beginning of this year. From the panthers game until now I am just over it. -

There just isn’t going to be a time where you will ever let any criticism of Tyrod go undefended. I guess you are consistent at least. At this point you might as well ride the ship all the way down. It should only be a few more weeks. No reason to give up now. -

No, it’s not. What’s silly is throwing a 3 yd pass on 3rd and 11. Watch a few other games on Sunday and see which of the good QBs throw short of the sticks on 3rd down. Tyrod does it constantly. There is way to much indecision with Tyrod. Drop back, hit the last step and throw it. Don’t dance around and checkdown to repeated punts. Either hit that last step and throw, or hit that last step and run. -

If Tyrod ends up playing Sunday, which unfortunately seems likely at this point...Mcdermot better be telling him if you have a 3rd and 7 and a pass goes less then 8 yds in the air, leave your helmet with me because you are not going back in. -
Matt Milano starting LB from here on out?
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to The Now Moment's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe I’m being greedy but I want to play Milano at MLB now. Let him get control of the calls on the field and being the brain of the defense this year, then draft an even faster guy in April to play WLB. The game has changed. LBs need to be able to run. I want Milano to play MLB and by next year he will have already had a year of this Defense under his belt. Bring in an even faster guy in the offseason and let him play WLB. -

Milano needs to be moved to full time MLB and play every single snap. He is the best LB on our team, good things happen when he’s on the field. Passing lanes are smaller, there seem to be more opportunities for turnovers. He is fast, young and physical. Preston Brown is way to slow to play MLB in this defense, move him to SLB where he belongs. Milano should be the centerpiece and face of this defense going forward. The guy needs to be on the field all game. -
Attendance Sunday?

People don’t want to sit in the cold and watch Tyrod throw for under 70 yds again. It’s reached the point of no return. We get there with all of these drought QBs once it’s obvious they are never going to be good enough. He fought the good fight, now let’s see the other guy. -
Peterman will be starting Sunday
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to Doc's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hope he does but I doubt it more with each passing day -
I get it’s easy to just blast Peterman for his first ever start..But what’s nice about Peterman is he never stopped firing. He didn’t fold up after the picks and get gun shy. The guy threw picks but still was standing in there trying to make throws. It didn’t turn him into a check down machine afraid to let his guys make plays. I appreciate that. Trent played totally different at first. Once he paid for a few mistakes, he turned into a timid check down only QB. Even Tyrod is a little like that. I never felt like he was afraid to push the ball early on. Now this guy is petrified to make a mistake.

Attendance Sunday?

I’m like 6.5 out and after the Jet game in NJ this year, I said I’m not driving all the way back up to orchard park until after this team makes the playoffs again. I’m so tired of being disappointed and it’s just not fun to make that drive up anymore. Tired of sitting there durrung a loss and wondering why I keep doing it to myself. I can just watch on tv. At least met life is only an hour ride home. -
Milano should be on the field for almost every defensive snap. Preston Brown should be playing SLB not MLB. Alexander never fit this defense and shouldn’t have been brought back at all. Zach Brown did fit it and should have been brought back. Groy would probably give us more then Ducasse. We probably could have used more speed or depth behind Shady at RB. Tyrod just never fit what we were apparently going to force him to do. Never should have been brought back even at half price. We should have brought in more drop back passers in the offseason. Might have been better off keeping Cardale Jones. No reason to trade Ragland before he ever even played. Dareus was worth the aggravation if not for anything other then stopping the run. This roster has almost no direction IMO. We have old slow guys playing significant time all over the field on defense. We have almost no speed on the outside at WR. We are asking our qb to do the things he obviously can’t do. We are probably accidentally built to play like the Tebow Broncos and that almost would probably work, but instead we just play a totally different way. I have never understood any of what we are trying to do on either side of the ball.

Attendance Sunday?
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to Bills fan since 87's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As dumb as it sounds, I bet you if they announced Peterman as the starter on Tuesday...there would have been a lot more interest. People would have been into seeing the Rookie start at home. IMO people are done with Tyrod. That might not be the only reason, but I bet you it’s a big one. If they came out tomorrow and said Peterman is starting, those tickets would get gobbled up. -

Just build a 60,000 seat dome in the same parking lot as the Ralph. The romance of people embracing the weather is just not a modern reality. Use it for year round conventions/concerts/special events/NCAA basketball etc. Can you imagine how loud Bills fans could get an inclosed stadium? The other teams offense would have no shot at hearing. -
I hope Peterman starts, at this point I have seen more then enough of Tyrod. 2 games with under 70 yds passing for a guy in his 7th season and 3rd straight as a starter is inexcusable. At least Petermans dud was literally his 1st start. At this point I am convinced we are going to see Tyrod. The longer it goes without saying it’s Nate, I feel like it’s not Nate. Tyrod is already killing us the way he is, I can’t even imagine what he would be like without the threat of his legs. We really might lose This game. Every passing week that I see our best LB not starting and Tyrod playing, I lose a little faith in this coach to make the right personnel decisions.

If the Bills go 3 -1
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to BuffaloDave55's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The most realistic thing would be for the titans to fall off. If the Titans win this week IMO, we are done. The Ravens are going to get theirs. Need the Titans to lose all 4. -
I say name Peterman the starter, dress Tyrod Incase it goes sideways. Design a game plan with short safe passes and heavy run. Give Peterman a chance to get a few cheapies to get some confidence back. Play a similar game plan like the Tuel chiefs start. Let him open it up as the game goes on. We have seen enough of Tyrod at this point. If he can’t run it’s even worse. Give Peterman a chance to show that the Chargers game won’t define him. 2 games of less then 70yds passing is enough to get you a permanent bench seat.

Tre White: "the whole hood want 'em (Gronk)"
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to CanadianFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How about just get Brady instead? Just go to the knee late on the 1st play and then get up and point at gronk as if to say, blame that guy -
They should wear AFL throwback helmets with red facemasks. Then it’s more red and no unmatching blue in the logo

This gamesmenship with not naming a starter is silly. If they really wanted to do something to gain some silly advantage. They should know Tyrods not going to play. Say Tyrod is starting. Have him warm up on the field in pregame , line up for the first snap, motion him out for a wildcat with joe Webb...run the 1st play then play Peterman the rest of the game. That would actually maybe effect the way the colts prepare. Actually “start” the guy that’s not going to play. Then for the rest of the game play the other guy.
