Based on every time he has ever played for the Bills. He gets the back out very fast. Never holds it. Maybe that has been a fault at times, but he gets the ball out faster then Allen. I don’t know how anyone can even argue that.
Only 1 qb moved the ball against 1s in the entire preseason. Bottom line, Peterman moved it and scored against everyone he faced. Which included 1s in week 1.
Good, then start the only qb that played good against 1s. And it was still the same guy.
I would say go get Peterman, Dez. Give him two big bodied guys who can box out the defenders and use body position to move the chains. Throw in Shady and Clay and we might be okay. Got to find away to get some pass rush but that’s tough at this stage in the game.
But Petermans ball is out before the pressure gets there. That’s the difference. That’s what Rex used to cry about against NE. Nothing he did mattered because the ball was out to fast.
This is the modern day nfl offense. Quick horizontal and diagonal passing game. Long hand off, catch and run move the chains. Quick, on time accurate.. The Al Davis bomb ball is a relatively dinosaur. Petermans arm will be fine.
This is why I wanted to see Peterman get a drive or two against the starters. Hard to tell if they are just moving it on trash or if we have something with Nate
I think he learned from that. Peterman also seems to be the only guy that figured out he should throw it to 13. Peterman is only in his 2nd year. Maybe the best thing that ever happened to him was that charger game. Get that out of the way, learn from it and come out the other end smarter and stronger.
Peterman sees it and pulls the trigger. There is zero hesitation. Last year that cost him a little, maybe this offense is better suited for that type of play.
Peterman has run THIS offense better then any other qb on the roster all preseason and it’s not even close. I wanted to see Allen win this thing today but at this point, you have to start Nate. The kid has put the work in. He looks a little like a mixture of Cousins and Pennington to me. Not as good as either but not to bad.
I don’t understand how Teller can’t get on the field. Miller has 3 penalties and just got embarrassed and Vlad is one of the worst players in the league. 1 of these guys needs to come off the field. Preferably both. I’d rather see an interior of Teller Bodine Groy
He came in cold in a playoff game against one of the best defenses in football and scored about as much as Tyrod did in 58 mins. Usually players get better over time. It was his rookie year, he’s looked much better this year. Which would be an understandable progression.
