I will give it to him that unlike almost every other qb the Bills have had in here for the last 10 years...I don’t feel like he has been either figured out or maxed out potentialwise 3 or 4 weeks into his career. JP Losman was terrible. Trent was pretty much at his best early on then defenses figured him out. I was completely disgusted and done with EJ after week 3 of his rookie year. Tyrod is probably the same exact guy today as he was in his first start against the Colts. At least going into this year, I still have some hope for Peterman. I don’t think he will be good, but I don’t already know he won’t be. When it comes to a Bills qb, thats a win in my book

Peterman could still end up being good. It’s going to work out pretty nicely that we made the playoffs AND still somehow got to work this guy into real game action. He started and won a must win game against the colts after the terrible Chargers game. Maybe this guy will always turn the ball over and maybe he will never amount to anything. But in comparison to the rookies coming out, this guy has a year in Buffalo, has some valuable NFL game experience..you never know. I don’t want him to be handed the job but I want him in the competition for it. Certainly at worst, he is probably a backup that we can have confidence in.

I am intrigued by this whole idea. If I was Vince the first places I would go to for the franchises, are NFL franchises that no longer exist. How cool would it be for the xfl to have the Houston Oilers? Just the same color scheme, same logos. Try and recapture any left over fans of that team. Then maybe the St Louis Rams. Same deal. Try and catch that fan base that is now left with no team. San Diego Chargers? I’m sure somehow their are naming rights issues but there would almost have to be some way around that. Just an idea.

Peterman played well against the Colts. That was a must win and was needed in our playoff push and he certainly helped us win that game.

I want the bills to trade up and get Darnold regardless. The only safe way to do that is to get to #1. I’m tired of settling for scraps here and hoping a draft goes a certain way. Go up and get the best guy for once. Not reach for some 4th round trash in round 1 like EJ. Actually get a good QB abd the best in a real class for once.

Show me a guy who has worked with a bad qb and made him much better. Not a guy who works with a top 10 qb and stays out of his way. I would say off the top of my head Blane Gabbert was a guy left for dead and has gotten much better. Alex Smith at first wasn’t anywhere near what he became. Goff, Cousins, maybe even Tannihill. Those are guys that looked lost at first and got much better. Give me one of the guys who helped in that process. A lot of it is just natural progression, but some of those guys were into the league for a bit before someone helped turn the light on.

That seemed to be a little of what was going on with Peterman. I think Mcd really fell for Peterman and was excited to give him a shot, obviously we all know how it turned out, but you can tell from day 1...it’s not how the feel about Tyrod

The guys that are playing know what they are getting into. If you don’t want to deal with the long term risks, go do something else. Nobody is forcing these guys to play. There are 10,000 guys on the outside looking in that would give anything for the chance. If these guys don’t want to play, don’t play.

Bortles was taken 3rd overall in a draft that was one of the best drafts in the last 20 years. Not saying that makes him good, but he certainly was supposed to be. Not like it’s crazy to think he’s better then a guy that was pretty much a gimmic WR in Baltimore

Il take Bradham back in a heartbeat. Same with Zach Brown or Kiko. Those guys would be great in this Defense.

Linebackers that can run are the most important thing in the present day nfl (on defense) It is our biggest defensive weakness and if we can get that fixed, we can get here. Vikings, Jags, Eagles..all have very good, very fast LBs

I realize it’s not important and probably just an issue I need to deal with enternally but I really miss the days when people didn’t put “gate” at then end of every single story. Every time I hear it I just hate whatever it deals with.

I like Mccarron. If he is here I will be excited. There are guys I would want here more at this point, but I’m good with him as an option.

The Qbs we want will be gone by 4. Go to 1 or 2 or just forget drafting a qb early.

Bridgewater is not even better then Tyrod. Not interested unless it’s a cheap last resort.

The guys I want in order plan A: Pay Cousins whatever it takes plan B: trade for Alex Smith plan C: trade whatever we can to move up to 1 or 2 and take Darnold plan D: trade for Eli Manning or Andy Dalton plan E: AJ Mccarron or Teddy Bridgewater
