There seems to be some question about what we have at WR (beyond Brown and Beasley). Zay continues to let down. Foster and McKenzie are both hurt and Roberts is a ST guy. Obviously we brought up Duke Williams today but who knows how that will go? Baring any unforeseen event (where this issue resolves itself in the next few weeks) Is there any chance we could try Yeldon at WR? I realize catching balls out of the backfield is different then actually lining up and running routes. But from everything I have seen, Yeldon seems to be a very effective receiver. Yeldon was the spark that got our offense going in the second half last week and had Allen not gone down, who knows? When Singletary gets healthy, the carries are going to be dominated by him and Gore. You don’t want to lose the wrinkle that Yeldon brings to the offense. Perhaps we can work TJ in as a WR and let him make some plays in the passing game. From what I have seen, after Brown Beasley and Knox..Yeldon is our next best weapon in the passing game. I realize it’s not a conventional way of running an offense but you need to find a way to get the most out of what you have. Go Bills!

I know he wouldn’t be worse. So does probably every other person that was a Bills fan at that time. I’m not trying to be rude and I have a problem doing this in life, but it was 20 years ago...it’s over, agree to disagree. I’m not going to bother trying to convince you, it doesn’t matter now. We have a good thing going this season. I’m over the Flutie Johnson thing.

The Andy Dalton play somehow appeased a lot of my pain from that game. Once we finally made the playoffs again, it doesn’t hurt as bad. If the Bills won that game, they certainly weren’t going to bench Rob Johnson and we were going nowhere with that loser. So the super bowl thing wasn’t happening. If Flutie never got benched, it’s a different story.

Duke signed to active roster

lol now watch him be inactive and people will go right back to being upset -
I know it’s early and 3-1 is a nice surprise, but IMO we really really need to win this game. You need to stack as many wins up as possible and especially these tie breakers against conference opponents. 4-1 is so much better then 3-2. I’m not going to say must win, but if we lose I think the playoff chances take a major hit (if not go away). If Singletary can go, he absolutely needs to play. Allen needs to be capable of protecting himself and the ball. Otherwise call up Webb as the back up and build the week around getting Barkley ready. This is not going to be an easy game by any stretch and 3-2 is not what you want after opening up 3-0. There are a lot of tough games left. Stack those wins now because win streaks might be hard to come by down the stretch. Find a way to win this game. New England is one thing, but if you want to make the playoffs..you have to beat the teams like the Titans. There are still 4-6 very realistic losses on the schedule left down the stretch. We need to win this game IMO.

Will offense operate better with Barkley next week?

It’s definitely strange that it’s almost the end of Tuesday and we have no other qb on the roster. They must think Josh is a go -

Not that yards tell the tale, but on a terrible bears team in 2016: Barkley started 6 games and threw for over 300 yards in 3 of them. The Bills have had like 3 300 yard passing games in the last 6 years and Barkley had 3 in 6 games. We also had like a 31-3 lead at halftime in the only game he started last year. He easily could have gotten 300 in that one. We didn’t need to pass in that whole 2nd half. I think it’s a little silly to act like he’s just a pedestrian back up. Barkley was an excellent college player and had incredible potential. He was trending towards stardom. And incredibly, Allen has twice as many starts as Barkley. I don’t think we know for sure what Barkley is or can be. If he plays Sunday I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s by far our best offensive performance. I also wouldn’t be surprised if we see that 300 yard passing streak go down. -

I’d say if the Bills sign a QB tomorrow then Allen is out. If not, then this will probably drag out all week and Allen will play Sunday. -
Week 5: Bills (+2.5) at Titans

Zay Jones actually looked like a capable receiver the time that Barkley started. Maybe he will actually have a game to be proud of for a change -

The best player on our offense is Singletary. Him being out yesterday made a huge difference. If we had him in the red zone yesterday, we probably score at least 1 more touchdown. He can make people miss in ways that you don’t see often. If he’s there in Tennessee, I think our offense will play well. Barkley is a guy that will get the ball on time to the playmakers. Singletary makes a massive difference in our offense Eventhough his touches have been limited. If he’s back, we are guna score points with Barkley. If he’s out, it’s guna be a long day for either QB. -

I’m not saying Barkley has a good arm but I think it’s better then people are alluding to. I don’t see it as a big issue.
