Im the number 1 never pay a RB guy but I also love James cook. The guy was the 2nd most important player on this team. I’m going to look the other way and go against all I stand for and hope we extend him. Get creative and find a way please. The guy is magic in this offense

We absolutely don’t need any LBs. I actually love our LBs. Wish our coach would stop taking 1 off the field and forcing this nickel in regardless. Bills playing the most nickel of any team but our pass defense sucks. Good call.

I have heard several people say that his skill set would not fit. Which I flat out don’t agree with.. the guy was not an issue in run support IMO and his mental game was outstanding. I’d love to bring him back for 1 year as a S. My favorite safeties are veteran corners transitioning out. They have seen a lot and they know what the guys infront of them are dealing with. I’d give it a shot. If it doesn’t work, no harm no foul. Cut him. I know people will jump in with the “his game doesn’t fit” I just flat out don’t agree. I’d be willing to guarantee he’s better than Hamlin. Sight unseen

In 2017 the defense was actually kind of good. That offseason we were completely figured out. The book was written. 2018 was a transition year. 19 began the exposure as we blew a big lead in our first playoff defensive failure. It’s been a lot of smoke and mirrors hidden by elite Safety play, turnovers and our own offense making teams extremely one dimensional. The only year that our defense wasn’t our demise was 2017. They played well in that playoff game. Every year after we were exposed as a paper Tiger. No pressure, no discomfort for opposing QBs. Can’t get off the field and can’t make a big stop. Ever. Zero times. It’s hope our own offense scores a TD on every drive and pray for turnovers. That’s not sustainable. It’s not what good teams do

What a strange thought. Why? The guy would probably love to play with 50 better WRs. Why?

But let’s have month long conversations about Wr trains…. every single issue with this team is that the defense never stops anyone. Been that way from opening day of 2018. I’ll give them 17.

The guy has sucked for 3 full years and is an unbearable creep. Hes not even close to what he was and everybody hates him. Why would anyone want him?

I bet both 2nds and next years 1 get it done. That way we can keep our 1 this year

You can’t lay off the WRs and give them a free release. You have to let the QB hold it for an extra half second so your guys can get there. If the WRs are wide open on the snap you have no shot. Why this needed to be explained is incredible. I watched Elam backing up 9 yards off on the snap and you might as well just pack up and go home. What is this coach thinking

What are we giving this guy 11 years of Josh Allen to try and get there. It’s ridiculous. How many chances does a guy really deserve? Josh isn’t going to be this guy forever. Stop wasting it. I’m out of time with McDermott, all year I said get there this year or fire him. Every single year we don’t get there is 1 to many. I have zero rope left

Hopefully this has a negative long term effect on KC. I don’t need them going out and adding Tee Higgins or bringing back Hill now after this embarrassment

I can’t believe they got there with 4. That was the best performance by a defense I can ever remember. They earned it. Anyone that doesn’t want to believe that defense is still the difference is in denial. Always has been, always will. Making stops is how you win championships. Go get Garret AND Crosby

We are starting to circle in on the real problems, now let’s bring in another guy that can possibly take control of the Defensive narrative and slowly push the old guard further and further away. The players are not the problem. Jim Schwartz, Dick Labeau, Wade Phillips (idk I’m just spitballing) would have THIS defense lights out. It’s the coaching. STs was also terrible. It barely matters in 2025 but good. Move on and get better.

4 years ago sure. We’re good now. Not the type of guy we need at this stage of his career. That team is about to be a mess. Go pay that QB who is barely more then just a guy and you can close that window

But how many of them are against the lesser QBs? The ones holding onto the ball to long? I’m not saying you’ll never get there, but we definitely don’t. We never do. And we constantly rush 4. Our whole philosophy is to not let teams get over the top. I don’t know what year this dude thinks it is but that’s not even something to fear. These good QBs have no issue slashing you for 7/8 yards at a time. Then get us on skates and the run is there. The entire defense needs to be reimagined. That most likely requires a new person to coach it

I’m getting aggravated with hearing people complain about ANYONE on the offense. The offense was elite. All time balance and scored at will. Every single problem was on defense. I don’t care who it is. If you are on offense…back off. They were part of something amazing. Every complaint should be directed towards the problem: Mcdermott the DC The defense STs Thats the list

Rip. All I ever heard was how nice of a guy he was. He was a really good defensive mind. Very sad.

You aren’t going to get there. The game has changed. You have to blitz or you have to cover. Nobody is touching these good QBs the ball is out way to fast. Even our own QB never gets sacked. The people thinking traditional lineman are going to win and get to these top QBs aren’t paying attention. You aren’t. It’s not even new. Even Brady was that way. The ball is gone before you’ll get there. You have to blitz and you have to confuse them

The chiefs only throw short quick stuff. Can’t push it down the field and won’t hurt you deep….this guy was playing CBs 9 yards off. The only thing NOT to do. It’s inconceivable how bad our coaching is on the defensive side of the ball. And that’s what this HC does lol coach the D

Very happy for Josh. Let’s face it, The guy is probably the best or 2nd best player in franchise history. He’s the best player in the NFL. He absolutely deserves it. Fix the defense and get this guy the ring he has probably earned 3x over already

Please don’t give him the sportsmanship award to soften the blow of not giving him MVP
