Reading tea leaves: Bills trade down with NYG or OAK
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’m actually starting to think the bills trade up with the giants and get a top player. Maybe the Giants go from 6 to 9 and the Bills get someone they really want. This team is almost literally full roster wise. I don’t see trading down. I feel like we are fixing all the leaks before draft night, so we can go for broke and move up. Could be wrong but I have been thinking a trade with the Giants. For 6 though, not 17. -
Not sarcasm at all. I don’t think we will draft a WR early now. I think we have a good group. I do think we will take a TE early and I do think that it’s the right move. My meaning of the no room was about the training camp fodder level guy that this thread was about. Not to say that we CANT add a top level WR somewhere in the draft. I’m just not expecting any WR other then the ones I named to be on the team. Roberts is an elite level return man and will absolutely be one of the WRs. The STs guy still counts.

Buffalo Bills: Back to Bojorquez

Schmidt was terrible. Carter and Bojorquez were both much better imo. -
Buffalo Bills: Back to Bojorquez

The actual punting of the ball part of bojorquez was good. There were just a lot of other errors that make him a little worrisome -

Carter was doing good in preseason last year before he got hurt. They didn’t keep him around for no reason. At the end of the day I think he will be the punter. -
The First Game of the year

I’m guessing home Miami is week 1 -
I kept saying; no north eastern teams mean no chance but then I kept getting into the same arguments with people missing the point. Telling me the north east doesn’t need minor league teams....The AAF NEEDS the north east. NYC, PHI, BOS, PIT. Without those markets, the league has no shot. It will be right and they won’t make it. Sports leagues need the areas with the most people. And they absolutely need the areas with actual interest in sports.

On draft night I was livid about the Allen pick. He was the 1 QB I didn’t want. I can’t say I watched him in college but from everything I read and saw of him leading up to the draft, he was the QB I was most afraid of. Eventually I started telling myself “he is on the Bills now so i might as well try to embrace it.” I wasn’t happy about it but I needed to at least give the guy a chance. From that point on, little by little the guy won me over. By the end of the season I was very happy to admit I was wrong. He certainly has flaws and he will never be the best passer but he does a lot of things very well and he is impossible to dislike. Allen plays with incredible fire and heart and clearly wants to be here. The guy is almost exactly like Cam Newton but with a way better attitude and probably bette accuracy. If we build around him create an offense to take advantage of his skill set, I think this can work. I’m not sure that he’s going to be good but I’m not sure that he won’t be. Thats a lot more then we usually get from a Bills QB. I am to the point now where I am happy about having him and excited for what the future brings. Regardless of how it turns out, I was wrong about him and I have no issue admitting it. We are in a place with our future that we haven’t been in a very long time. Id say it’s pretty exciting. Go Bills!

New Stadium Talk as of owner’s meetings
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the bills home crowd would be a little different inside then almost anywhere else. Also that indy dome notoriously destroyed the crowd noise and energy with the design of that new stadium. If you look at the saints home games and you will get a look at what a Bills dome would be like. -

65,000 seat dome...just do it and reap the benefits of sellouts and indoor crowd noise for opposing offenses. -
New rule to replace onside kick?
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to Mij yllek's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lose half your team with blown out knees because of kickoffs? The play that has been in the game forever but only recently has become an “issue?” The rationale you despise is simply accurate. You play the game because you want to. You take it for what it is with all the inherent risks. Kickoffs are part of the game. So are injuries. If you don’t want to play, don’t play. Racecar drivers realize every time they strap in, they could die. Same with bull riders...They still do it. And they aren’t turning around suing people when they run out of money. -
New rule to replace onside kick?

I wish they would just bring regular kick offs back and leave it alone. It’s one of the most exciting plays in the game when it’s done correctly and it was responsible for some of the greatest plays in nfl history. Don’t touch the onside kicks and don’t keep trying to take away the kick off. These guys know the risk when they sign up. Play football or don’t. Stop trying to make it an arcade game. Bring the kickoff back. Make football physical again
