Injuries to starters this Sunday
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to benderbender's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Offense 5 22/20/32 82 16 18-slot 77 they split neither is a starter 71 61 65 70 they split neither is a starter 89 85 2 TE sets defense 92 96 94 90 or 93 whichever you consider 51 52 57- in 4-3 29 33 28 31 46 in nickel move 33 inside I don’t want them to literally bench every starter. I want the 10-15 guys that we absolutely need in the playoffs to sit in a meaningless game. And there are things you can do to add a guy from the ps here and there to actually do this if it was necessary. I just wanted to put it out there that on a technicality with the RT situation it could be done. Even though I really was talking about all the main players. The only actual starting spot of the 22 where you would run into a numbers issue would be that other tackle. It wasn’t really a big deal I just couldn’t not answer or try to do it when you asked. -

You know that’s not what anyone’s saying. Every starter of the 22 guys on offense and defense is what we are talking about. Which is why I have said any starter that matters several times. And there are enough guys to do that. -

I just can’t see any positive that comes out of any starter playing. You aren’t going to be able to build on anything against that team. All that can happen is bad IMO. It’s truly senseless. We are in the best spot that we have been in for 20 years. Why risk something dumb? It’s rhetorical. There’s no actual answer. -
2 teams won both championships. Micheal Thomas on both. Henry on both but he threw me a curveball in the finals. Needed Cousins to get 5 points last night and he made me sweat out every second

When Was the Last Time Bills Could Rest Starters?
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Week 4 of this preseason. couldn't resist ?♂️ -
If you watch a rams game they can’t wait to tell you how great this guy is. They will tell you 40 times a half during the telecast. But then as you are watching the game, you will notice that the Rams defense can’t stop anybody. It’s strange that a guy that is so incredible is always on a terrible defense. I get that it’s not a 1 man thing but do you think JJ Watt or Lawrence Taylor we’re ever on bad defenses? These all world players make much more of an impact then he does. I’m not saying he’s not good. He is. But he’s nowhere near as good as they make him out to be.

It’s 2 more plays then I’d give him. He’s done. Zero dressed games is where I’d be with him -

Do we rest the starters next week?
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to bills6969's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There are enough people. I’m not going to go through the whole thing but I promise you there is a backup at every position. You don’t have to rest every single starter on defense but I would definitely sit 49, 58, 27, 21 and 23 on defense. Start Barkley, play Yeldon and Perry at RB. Play Foster Duke Williams Roberts and McKenzie at WR. Kroft and Lee Smith at TE. Sit Dawkins, Spain, Feliciano and Moorse. -

Yeah both of these guys are better then any WRs the bills have had in forever. People are being greedy acting like we need a real #1 and complaining about the 3rd guy. WR is not the issue at all with this offense. The qb needs to be more accurate, the #2 RB cannot be Gore, the play calling is very frustrating, the game day inactives are puzzling and we need a TE that can be a consistent option in the passing game. Those are the issues. Not the WRs. Brown and Beasley are excellent. -

I really want to hear Mcd come out first thing tomorrow and say it’s all back ups against the Jets. Don’t even play around. The score in this game is meaningless. There is no need to try and gain advantages over the Jets. Let the fans know Monday that they don’t have to be worried about injuries in a pointless game -
Likely first round opponent?

I don’t know if that’s true. -
Around the League Week 16

The dolphins just blew a 16 point lead with 33 sec left in the 4th lol -
It is. But I’m certainly not expecting it to happen. What the patriots did against us yesterday, is what we should be doing. A run game that can get you 4 yards on first down, (even when they know you are running it) will be deadly with Allen. Brady isn’t going to hurt you down field but the arm of Allen forces you to respect the deep ball. Even if he hasn’t been hitting them this season, teams still know this guy can kill you deep down field. We are a team trying to win 17-13 every week and shorten the game. You can’t do that consistently if you are going 3 and out every other drive. Need to get that inside run game going to go along with Singletary and Allen. Otherwise we are never going to score enough to be the truly elite teams in the AFC. Physical defenses are making us one dimensional. Get an element of a power run Game going and we can win playoff games.

Is There a Chance McD Threw the Game Yesterday?
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to Irv's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The only thing he needed to throw was the red challenge flag -
The best way for this team to win multiple playoff games this year, is to develop a power running game this week. We have a free game to throw some stuff at the wall. We are not going to beat teams by throwing. Take this free week to experiment with some big physical packages. Things that can give you 3 and 4 yards on the ground even when the defense knows we are going to run. Singletary is great. We need a second guy. Maybe he’s on the roster right now, maybe he’s on a practice squad, maybe he’s on the street. Go find a physical back that’s can run inside. It’s not Gore. Use the jet game to work in some 3 TE, FB sets. See if you can’t get going what the Pats got going last night. Go sign Blount, go find a new guy that nobody knows that is on a practice squad. The Bills are great at finding Runningbacks. Go find a physical runner that can complement Singletary and let’s turn this offense into a powerful complement to a stingy defense. We are a team that needs to sustain long drives and shorten games. You need to run against big boxes to do that. Especially when your quarterback is very streaky.

If you could swap QBs with any team right now
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to Max Fischer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
all things considered for sure -Mahomes -Watson -Wentz -Rogers (even if it’s only for a few years nfl windows are small) -Stafford -Wilson Guys I’d think about -Lamar Jackson -Prescott -Matt Ryan -Brees for a 2 year run with this defense -
I don’t want to start another RB thread so I will just add to this one. If we are going to make a run in the playoffs we are going to need to be more effective running the ball. Singletary is excellent but behind him we have 0 right now. You could see against the Patriots that the Bills finally realized what they have in Gore yesterday. The guy should not be active and he’s keeping other players off the field. The only thing I want to see in the Jet game, is extreme use of Yeldon and Perry. Unless the Bills plan on bringing in a street FA RB this week, then you need to find out which one of those guys can be the #2 in the playoffs. We are not built to beat teams through the air and we have got to get this ground game going against tough defenses in the playoffs.
