  1. This is the reason RG3 and Kap don’t start now. Once teams figured out all you have to do is make them pass....Lights out. Might want to rethink moving on from Flacco next year because the book is written now. Lamar had a good run. Better start looking for a qb that can pass. It’s not the ACC
  2. This loss is 100% on Harbaugh. Should have gone to Flacco in the 2nd quarter and both FG attempts were the wrong decision. I hope he doesn’t get brought back now
  3. I mean all the way through with Barkley and Anderson
  4. What a wasted effort. The defense gave us chance after chance. What last year could have been...
  5. I don’t know that it would take a 1 for sure but if you can get the best WR in the nfl for another 3-4 years it’s anything but asinine. We will almost certainly get less at #9 then would get out of Brown. I would have no issue with that trade but as I have said probably 3 times in this thread.. he’s difficult off the field which will be a non starter for the guys running our team. Zero interest in character concerns regardless of talent
  6. Neither. I think the Pats will win the AFC despite the apparent “struggles” Every fan of every other AFC east team is always ready to throw dirt on the Pats as soon as there is a hair out of place. The funny thing is they always still get there. When will people learn? The reason we all hate them, should be the reason we all know better then it count them out. As long as Brady and Bill are there, I’ll figure they win. They were the only team undefeated at home. Not only are they very good, how many times have we seen it first hand? You are never going to get a call against the Pats in Gillette. They don’t even need the help most of the time, but believe me they are still going to get it. That’s why they never lose at home. The ONLY team that I think COULD beat NE is Indy. But that game would be in NE anyway.
  7. Cowart was a “tko spikes-like heat seaking missile of physicality. Just a shark out there looking for blood. Almost like Ray Lewis or Dick Butkus. I’d say Cowart was much more like Spikes. Edmunds looks physically imposing like that but he doesn’t play like that. I wish he did. Edmunds looks like a guy that should be playing WLB. He looks like a guy that will be amazing dropping back into the passing lanes and using his height to knock balls down and force over throws. But wasn’t playing the run exceptionally well. Granted the kid was literally 20 years old and week 17 he looked amazing. I would say he is maybe more of a Derrick Brooks? I guess it’s hard to say. It was was before my time so I only have nfl films to go off of, but wasn’t Jack Lambert a tall MLB in the early stages of the soft zone we play? A guy that would probably fall back and do what Edmunds will do? I could have that wrong but that’s at least what I thought I saw. I will say Jack Lambert
  8. Tavon Austin would be a guy that could really help us in a lot of ways and I’m sure he would be expendable for Dallas
  9. Il take almost anyone off this colts line. Blowing the Texans overrated front backward
  10. Use the FA money to build a line of experienced professionals and keep josh safe. Not a bunch of rookies that are learning the pro game. Get just a pack of veteran maulers that have been coached up at the pro level and can come in and fix the run game on day 1. Use the draft for the skill positions. Fa WR/RB class is weak and the college Olineman are not developed. Fix the Oline in March and add the pass catchers and rbs in April.
  11. It would probably be a good idea to keep taking undrafted guys from a place like Alabama. You figure they at least would have most likely been big time recruits and you know they were coached well.
  12. Pretty crazy that (down the stretch) we had the best graded out rookie WR and best graded rookie CB and drafted neither
  13. He and Foster started mattering during the same game. They both had the same amount of time basically. It was that Barkley jet game for both.
  14. Yeah I know it won’t happen so I’m not even going to consider it a reality. I would use the FA money to fix the line since the college game isn’t developing Olineman anymore. I would use the draft for all skill pos players. Fant in rd 1. Best WR/RB with the next 2 picks and just keep adding guys that can put points on the board.
  15. Brown is a headache so we won’t even consider it. Brown is also the best WR in the NFL and probably the closest thing to Marvin Harrison you can get. I would give up 9 for him and think nothing of it. We won’t draft a player (anywhere) better then him. Maybe ever. I would absolutely give them anything within reason but again...never going to happen with Bean and Mcd in charge.
  16. Imagine what Elway tenure would look like in Denver if Manning didn’t want to go there? Considering Manning basically had his choice of anywhere he wanted to go, I don’t see how Elway mattered. Great players almost never make good executives. The guy will hire the wrong coach again and they will suck.
  17. The funny part is, while he played Anderson was a guy with loads of physical talent but the head of a cave man. Somehow now he is this intellectual, thinking mans - QB coach in a helmet? It really is confusing. It simply is the fact that almost every veteran QB “gets it” after time. If you look at almost any qb that has been in the nfl for over 9 or 10 years...they will probably be very capable of running a professional offense at an acceptable level. That’s why I always want that Kyle Orton guy on the team. They won’t wow you with flash but they know where the ball has to go AND when it has to be there. A QBs job is probably 80% before the snap. The young guys usually just don’t have enough information library to make intelligent presnap decisions. That’s why the Eagles play better with Foles. There is no way to measure what I am saying, but it’s true. This offense was completely different when both DA or Barkley played. The ball was out quick and I bet if you asked Dabol, it went to the guy it should go to. Allen is crazy talented and fun to watch and overall made a lot of great plays. But the way the offense looked with him was night and day. Sometimes in a good way. Anderson knows what will work, he’s just not physically capable of delivering it personally. Hopefully he can stuff that into a more capable vessel in Josh Allen. There is a funny balance that goes on (for a qb) where physical ability diminishes as mental capability increases. The longer those two things are lined up on an acceptable level, the bigger our “window” will last.
  18. I will say Lorenzo Alexander. Simply because he can do so much. He can play the run, rush the passer, make plays in coverage and also plays all units of ST. Not to mention his leadership and the fact that off the field he was our Walter Peyton man of the year rep. Alexander is super physical and never misses tackles. I would say he is the only guy on the defense that never goes backwards. If it was just Defense...I might give it to Poyer. But if it’s an all things considered Bills MVP, I’ll say 57
