Bills v. Lions 8/13/21 Game Balls

Smith was everywhere. I really like him and Dodson. We have 4 guys at LB that I feel pretty good about. -
I mean…that guy is a fringe top 20 player in the NFL. Edmunds might not be that much better then a guy we could take in round 2 next year. No. You don’t give him a deal like that. Milano is the best LB on the team. Edmunds needs to start playing faster and not over thinking or he’s going to be one of the guys that becomes a casualty of war cap wise.

Levi locking down CB2?
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The guys been good since the literal first day he got a look. I don’t understand why people are always trying to replace him. He’s good. It’s been good. He’s a rare undrafted gem that stepped in and severely outplayed his expectations. Just appreciate it. -
In 2014 once Orton took over, this team stopped being a joke. EJ was the last domino to fall. Once he was taken out of the equation, I felt like this team could actually be something. From the lions game with Orton, through now, it’s been different. EJ was the last thing that just made me feel helpless. The guy was a completely overdrafted bust that held us back. Just the bookend of a post Flutie misery.

Reggie Gilliam officially listed as FB
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I actually think the reason our run game struggled so bad last year was the lack of a fullback. I understand that most teams are going away from it and I understand that most people are going to disagree with what I’m saying. But just because those things are true, doesn’t mean it’s the right thing to do. It’s true, a lot of teams are moving away from a true fullback. But a lot of the physical teams (especially the ones that can run it between the tackles) still have one. You can be an offense that scores a lot, that throws a lot and also has a fullback. There is no rule saying those things have to be mutually exclusive. IMO this team puts way to much into STs personnel. Especially on game day. It’s truly overkill a lot of the time. If we have room for all of these ST only guys, then we have room for a FB. I’m not suggesting a complete overhaul of offensive philosophy but it would be nice if we could run it, when the defense is expecting us to run. It would also open up the play action even more. You don’t have to play a FB every down like it’s 1984 but you don’t have to not have one all together. There’s substantial middle ground. -
It’s been 3 years and he’s a RB. What is the guy going to figure it out and get on this team when he’s 30 as a RB? By now you are moving on from a guy that old at RB. It’s a cool story I guess. He will probably get a few moments in a pre season again. But people act like he’s this gem we have for down the line stuff…it’s not happening.

The return of the red helmet in 2022?
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I haven’t seen it really talked about and I know it’s kind of an outside take here…but I absolutely do hope we go throwback reds but I hope it’s actually the AWAY jersey. All white and red helmets. Later 90s early 2000s. Like “Fluite era” puma jersey crispness
