  1. I can’t believe the Seahawks were dumb enough to give up that much for a Safety. Adams is really good but he just won’t make enough of a difference to justify TWO first round picks? How many games did the jets win with him? And you still have to pay him. After the way he was acting, I was thinking they wouldn’t even get a single first rounder for him. Insane. Great trade for the Jets (unfortunately) Our Safety’s are excellent and give us the freedom to do a lot of things on defense. They are probably the backbone of our team. They absolutely matter but it’s not like most non Bills fans know who Poyer even is. You certainly don’t need to spend crazy money on one, or give up ridiculous compensation to get them. The difference between the top safety in the league and a guy you pay 2-4mil to, is not enough to warrant those assets. The Seahawks are usually pretty intelligent. I’m surprised they were the team that made this mistake.
  2. The TD pass (to Kroft) in the Steelers game wasn’t spectacular but it was absolutely maybe one of the 3 biggest plays in the season.
  3. The Bills are pretty smart now. I don’t think it would be wise to be giving guys new deals THIS year, not knowing what the financial landscape of the league might be going forward. Probably not a good time.
  4. I wish it would go back to rich stadium and fire up the red end zones again.
  5. Is the name “reds” offensive? I always thought, they could just change it to the Washington reds and it would at least sound like it always did. Kind of like the devil rays, going to the rays. Nobody is asking Cincinnati to change their name now right? So maybe the Washington Reds...would be ok? Sometimes its hard to know what is and isn’t offensive in this landscape.
  6. I know it sounds insane...but I’m not 100% certain he will even start in NE
  7. What a contrast from the norm in NE. Go from Brady to Cam lol. Alright, strap them up...game on
  8. I think the 14’ team (once Orton took over) was right there with that 04’ team. I’m going to give last years team the benefit of the doubt and say they are the best of the 2000s. Let’s be real here, we had that game won in Houston and totally choked it away..last years team might have ended up being the best team since 93 had we advanced. This current team has a lot of really good players on it. I don’t think the 04’ team was better.
  9. Trent Murphy is pretty good. Plays to the whistle and makes an impact in the pass rush. When he’s out there, he is effective and has a high motor. The guy has been hurt a lot, I will concede that but he’s much better then he gets credit for.
  10. I live an hour and 15 mins away from MetLife stadium and have lived here my whole life. Jet fans everywhere..I hate them 10x more then the Patriots or the Dolphins
  11. I used to have this argument borderline daily on the old BBMB. I was a crusader for Fitz. He was my guy long before he became “Fitzmagic.” That whole thing was 100% Chan Gailey. To look back and see just how terrible of a head coach Chan was, is sickening. When you are the head coach, you are responsible for the entire team (Not just the offense). You do not get a pass for completely neglecting entire sides of the ball. Our defenses in those years made winning impossible. Also, we ran the same 4 or 5 plays every game for entire seasons. Teams figured us out right after that jets whiteout game and no adjustment ever got made. The play calling was senseless and the in game management was inexcusable. Chan was THE worst head coach I have ever seen in my life. Watching the Bills is probably my second favorite thing to do in life...if they brought Chan back for that next season, I was seriously considering canceling my Sunday ticket. Fitz did not have a chance with that team or that clown. I really wanted the Bills to retain Fewell and allow him to be the HC. I liked the way that 09 team played the second half of that year after Juaron but the past is the past... Now about Fitz. This guy was absolutely “my guy” I think there is a world in which you can get to the playoffs and maybe even advance with Fitz as your qb. This is the issue with him (and I’m not sure how teams don’t see it) Do not ask this guy to throw 35-50 passes in a game. Somehow, every time this guy gets in...teams are having him throw the ball all over the place. I said this almost every week when he was the Bills QB. Fitz will absolutely throw you out of a game. The guy is going to give his WR a shot but that is going to put a lot of plays at risk. If you let this guy throw 40 times in a game, he will throw for 300+ but he will throw the interceptions that put you in a spot. You have to save Fitz from himself. If you keep him in that zone of 15-25 passes, run the ball and play good defense...you will win a lot with him. He doesn’t have the physical abilities that most qbs have. But he absolutely is capable of running almost any offense and he will score points. Also, the guys on his own team play really hard for him. You just can’t allow him to be Drew Brees and throw 45 times in a game. He will not scale back the risk factor regardless of the score or the situation and he will throw you into trouble. If a balanced coach with a head on his shoulders got Fitz in the right situation, you absolutely could win with him. The 17 Bills team with Fitz, probably wins the same amount of games and beats Jacksonville.
  12. I don’t even understand how safety wise, the current rule even makes sense. I never have understood . Wouldn’t it be “safer” to change the helmets after each game? And examine them and have a fresh, unused shell? I’d think the way it currently is, was more dangerous. They should be wearing 16 brand new helmets throughout the season IMO. If it’s really about head injuries. Fans loved the old ways of the throw backs an alternates. Having to use the same color helmets, totally took away from that.
  13. If they change the ridiculous nfl rule where you can only wear 1 helmet, I’d love to see the 90s era uniforms as the alternates. I wouldn’t want to see them full time. Our current blue on white and white on blue combinations, are top 5 in the league. Absolutely beautiful. I love the 90s era uniforms (Especially late, Rob Johnson/Flutie uniforms). I would love to see them as an alternate, but not full time.
  14. I’ll say that if there was one way to describe this “mini run” of the McDermott era, it’s “bang for your buck” Between Milano, Josh Allen, Edmunds, Dawkins, Poyer, McKenzie, Feliciano, Wallace, Johnson and especially what White is still making...you have a roster full of guys that are doing a ton, for very little money
  15. I live an hour and 15 mins from Met life stadium. This guy (Webb) just flat out never got a look and it was completely puzzling to Giant fans. Eli was done for the last 3 or 4 years but the team just refused to offend him by ever taking him out. Even in lost seasons, they kept trotting out the guy just to appease his ego. Webb was a guy that a lot of fans and even some of the media, were clamoring for. He certainly has potential and it wouldn’t surprise me at all if he could play. I think now thought, you are running into the Fromm deal. This staff absolutely loves the guys they draft and if history taught us anything...the guys they draft WILL play. I got to believe the backup job is borderline Fromm's for good.
  16. Tyrod wasn’t the MVP of the decade. I will get that out of the way first before my point gets misunderstood. Tyrod Taylor was (however) the Bills QB that finally broke the drought. This team was a complete joke for very close to 20 years. That in itself is mind blowing. Tyrod was actually pretty good. Even on the Rex teams where the defense was ruined. The guy made a lot of big time plays. Tyrod is not remembered (by Bills fans) in a way I understand. I fully expected that, whichever QB broke the drought, would be glorified for the foreseeable future. I know he wasn’t the only reason it ended but he played a big part in it. The Jags playoff game was bad. And at that time I’ll admit I was ready for a change. Tyrod was Trent Edwards level overprotective of the downfield passing game, but I’m not sure how much of that was coaching. Tyrod was very important to this team. The MVP is not the best player. It’s the guy that was most valuable to a team. Tyrod finally did what none of the other Bills QBs could do. Get over that hump and make the playoffs. Shady was by far the MVP of the decade and I’d say he was the only legitimately, elite skill position player the Bills have had since Thurman. In that small window (before 2018) Shady was as good as it gets in terms of being a Buffalo Bill. Had he had a little more around him, he could have been an all time great for the franchise.
  17. I remember the first day that I found out there was going to be a daily show, exclusively about the bills. As a way out of town die hard, I was so excited....that show is legitimately terrible. Got to get Murphy out. It’s so boring. This is probably good news. Should go Sal and Chris Brown.
  18. I seriously hate these silly things. It’s football. I don’t want the kick off to go away. I don’t want the extra point to go away. I don’t want the onside kick to go away. Play Football. You want to be safer? Fine. I have no issue with intelligent solutions towards the goals of safety. Don’t change the actual plays in the game please.
  19. I mean, both of those positions will be borderline constant rotation. The starter really won’t matter. Maybe, who gets more snaps per game? That’s more telling information. I’m expecting Singletary and Moss to get about a 50/50 split. Maybe Singletary 55 Moss 45. Moss more in the 4th quarter if we are close or ahead. And I feel like Murphy will play on a lot of the pass rushing downs. Fans seem to hate on the guy but if you isolate and watch him play to play, the guy is relentless. He is actually a pretty good player and he goes absolutely balls to the wall on the play. The other guys will rotate with eachother and probably with Hughes too. The D line is like a revolving door under McDermott.
  20. It’s is ok to forget about him though. He won’t make the team and will have no effect on the season. We have two awesome RBs. Wade won’t be in the mix. And that’s ok too.
  21. I don’t really have an issue with them. Change the numbers and go yellow face mask and i think it’s good
  22. https://www.newyorkjets.com/news/jets-returner-andre-roberts-name-first-team-all-pro-safety-jamal-adams-gets-seco Believe me, I know they are different. He was an All Pro the year before.
  23. We have one of the best, if not THE best KRs in the league. But let’s replace him with a guy that has barely even played football. I don’t understand why Bills fans, are always obsessed with these underdog stories. Like Duke Williams. The guy isn’t even going to make the team. We have awesome WRs now, but there will be 20 threads this offseason about a player that’s on the fringe of making the league. A guy like John Brown that had an incredible season last year...no talk. Duke Williams, hero. We have 2 young RBs that could easily be the strength of the offense going forward...nobody talks about them. Rugby player that might not even understand the rules of Football: savior. Now our all pro return guy needs to be replaced by him.
