If he can’t play he can’t play. But if he can play and is just managing pain and is 65% of his usual self, I still want him out there. A defense will absolutely stifle us with zero run game and 1 threat at WR. Keanum caught lightning in a bottle 1 year but usually he sucks. We can’t afford to keep losing these games we need the 1 seed. With Josh in there defense still have to respect the threat of big time throws and runs from him. We are not a team built to succeed with a back up we can’t even run the ball against light boxes. What do you think that looks like when the big arm QB comes out? We’ll be lucky to score 10 points

Might be better to put Davis and Shakir on the outside and just play Diggs in the slot. You still have to respect Davis downfield ability, maybe we could get some killer matchups and catch and run chances for Diggs inside.

Every time I see or hear this place it makes me think of the pure lunacy a Bills done could be. It’d be worth 2-4 stops a game for our defense. So dumb to not build one

Would bringing in a veteran guy like Adam Humphries give Allen the Beasley type safety blanket? I know he’s not a world beater but he was a productive guy in the slot and seems to be a FA. You really don’t need a guy to play outside at this point. You need a guy to win underneath in the dirty areas.

What are the realistic options at this point in the season beyond OBJ? He’s the main target but I’ll believe it when I see it. The trade deadline is over, if you don’t get OBJ, what are the other ideas?

We can’t run the ball. Teams are going to just completely take Diggs away. We will get suffocated without Allen. This isn’t a team with an above avg running game that you can lean on. We have an elite playmaker at QB that opens everything up. The Vikings will probably kill us is Keanum plays.

If he can play 60% and it’s just a pain management thing, I hope he plays. Because we can’t afford to keep losing games and we are in big trouble without him

Dodson is good. Every chance he’s gotten to play he’s impressed me. I don’t know why he never sees the field

I can’t imagine a scenario where we just played like complete garbage against the Jets and then beat a red hot 7-1 team with Keanum as the QB. In a world or on a team where you have an excellent run game to lean on and you can actually try and just feed a RB and not get killed by QB mistakes…fine. We have none of that. Josh is the running game too. If he can play even at 70%, he needs to because we are going to be a mess without him. Can’t keep giving up these regular season games because the Chiefs aren’t going to lose. If he can’t play then fine, it is what it is…but you have to stop just holding these guys back assuming our backups are good enough to win games. They are backups for a reason. We are being way to casual with these regular season games and not taking opponents seriously. We are going to ***** around and end up losing the division

Super long shot here but, what are the chances this injury makes josh re focus on the intermediate and underneath stuff that’s been missing? Maybe not having the full power on the downfield stuff will make him attempt a “B game” I know when my back is bothering me or I’m not feeling great and I’m bowling, it makes me hyper focus on fundamentals. Knowing you don’t have the full complement of physical tools could make you sharpen the mental aspect. Not comparing the games obviously but the idea isn’t inconceivable.

That’s been our teams attitude with everyone. Don’t rush guys back, no big deal don’t dress guys that aren’t 100%. It’s just regular season…then lose to Miami and the Jets with guys out all over the defense. Not realizing that these “regular season” losses add up and are the reason why we keep having to go TO KC in the playoffs. We need to start treating regular season games like they count because they do. If Tre White was “close” week 1, he should have been active yesterday. If Milano could have gone, he should have. Maybe we could bring him in as some sort of offensive assistant to help get Dorsey dialed in on some adjustments. Colts offense was well designed. The QB was just completely washed up and horrendous

Dodson over Edmunds is not outlandish. I’m sorry, it’s not. The guy has been a key component in all of these run defenses. I’d like to see what it looks like with a more physical LB

Knowing how McDermott is, how can he be ok with how this run defense looks? And then you think what can fix it? Obviously back off this nickel on every single down but man you have to start changing something. If the whole appeal to our LBs is the speed we have in coverage, why is it so important that we play 5 DBs on every play? Wouldn’t having LBs that can run and cover give you the chance to NOT play with a NB? And allow you to cover in a base 4-3?

Mahomes is the best QB in the league and has been from the minute he stepped into the league. He’s won one already and they have hosted 4 straight afc championship games…he can do whatever now, they got theirs. And he’s the reason they are still great

It looked to me like Josh lost all his confidence after that 2nd interception. I don’t like that. I hope it was a bad day and I hope he just didn’t take the game serious enough and just let down. If this guy loses anything he had we have no shot. We are great because he is great. We can’t absorb him regressing back to some wildcard out there.
