Obviously this is mostly speculation on what I’m reading but I feel like this guy can definitely play. If it was the playoffs, he’d be out there. I also feel like almost every big name QB in the NFL plays through injury all the time. That’s why they get paid what the do. Franchise QBs are dependable and are someone you expect to have every week. It’s a short season. You can t just write weeks off. It’s a physical game and everyone is banged up. Most QBs are dealing with some sort of issue and most just play. All that being said, this team will sit him. We refuse to push the issue on anyone that’s not 100% and we don’t take regular season games as serious as I’d like. We will take our chances with Keenum and we will probably struggle. The number 1 seed is incredibly important to THIS team. And if we have to go to KC in the playoffs, we are probably going to wish we hadn’t. I know I can’t say this without people not actually reading it and thinking I’m saying something I’m not….. But I was thinking a few months ago what it would feel like to have the Eagles championship. Like imagine a world where somehow Keanum was forced to play and we somehow played extreme complimentary football, all the stars aligned and we won our only super bowl in history with a QB that we all know isn’t the answer. But just feeling that obligation of having to appreciate and honor the guy that finally delivered for us. And how strange that would feel. Because how do you turn around and bench this guy next year even-though obviously we would. Again: not saying I want this, knowing it WONT happen, hoping Josh plays every second including this week, Keanum sucks….I’m saying I understand this. I’m just thinking out loud of how strange that Situation was and would be for us.

If he’s actually going to play, they should leak pictures to the media of him in a sling. That way nobody expects him to suit up then he rides in and blows the doors off em on Sunday

If you have watched this team the last 4 years, Allen is the run game. I hate it. I wanted balance even in the height of the high flying video game crazy points run. This style isn’t sustainable and you need balance. At this point, we can’t block it up, we don’t design runs properly, we don’t commit to it and we lack physicality at the point of attack. I hate it. I want a team that runs regularly. Certainly I can’t see a way for that to change now with LESS of a fear of a downfield passing game. Let’s use our head here

Even in extremely light boxes from the fear of a rocket arm MVP QB…what’s it going to look like with a noodle arm journeyman back up. People have to kind of start looking at this realistically. I have never once thought this would really happen. Obviously at this point I’d love it and certainly I hope it somehow does. I just hope there’s a plan B in the very likely even he doesn’t come here.

We need to win games. Nothing in the future is guaranteed. The time to win a championship is now. If there’s serious risk of making the injury worse then fine. Don’t be dumb. But you can’t just keep writing these games and seasons off. You might never get back. People are way too patient in a league where everything can change In a minute. You have to try and cash in on one of these seasons. Nobody is getting younger. If he can play, he needs to play. We aren’t moving the ball on anyone with a noodle arm journeyman backup that can’t hurt you with his legs. The Vikings are 7-1. We are going to have a hard enough time with Allen. You can’t just keep running backups out thinking we can hold serve. The chiefs aren’t going to lose. You blew the cushion with the inexcusable jet loss. If he can’t play he can’t play. But if he can play and is just managing pain and is 65% of his usual self, I still want him out there. A defense will absolutely stifle us with zero run game and 1 threat at WR. Keanum caught lightning in a bottle 1 year but usually he sucks. We can’t afford to keep losing these games we need the 1 seed. With Josh in there defense still have to respect the threat of big time throws and runs from him. Might be better to put Davis and Shakir on the outside and just play Diggs in the slot. You still have to respect Davis downfield ability, maybe we could get some killer matchups and catch and run chances for Diggs inside.

Every time I see or hear this place it makes me think of the pure lunacy a Bills done could be. It’d be worth 2-4 stops a game for our defense. So dumb to not build one
