Right on man, add in our schedule and I have a feeling I'll be giving tickets away again. I hope they draft a QB this season at least I could look forward to seeing him play by the end of the season. Sadly I think many are in the same wagon.
-
JM nice to see you buddy glad you made it over. I didnt blame it all on Tyrod, I wasnt happy that Tyrod couldnt finish the job like always with him. We should have won that game and I was very mad about the loss just like everyone else that monday. I hope Tyrod does better this season but last season really dug deep in. I sit in the stands and every game had fans next to me screaming Tyrod throw the dam ball. I'll be at every game once again with fingers crossed but my faith is next to none thinking Tyrod will finish the game with a comeback win.
-
Eh, big deal a fish game we should have won easily like in 2015. The fish played us harder and showed they were not as good as their record indicated but good enough to keep Tyrod from winning. The fish game showed Tyrod played better against teams that are not so good but still failed to seal the deal, the league has him figured out, make him be a QB.
-
SMH, it would matter if Tyrod could get the comeback win but teams know him well, make him be a QB. In my opinion that Pitt game explains Tyrod to a T, pressure him first 3 quarters then prevent D, game over. Even with getting 3 extra possessions because of Rapes INTs Tyrod failed. Tyrod never gets the comeback win. Hes not good enough to be a franchise worthy QB, he is what he is, Flaccos backup. Your comment is the same that was used over and over again when Trent was here doing the same thing, look at those stats, stats don't matter without the win.
-
Maybe if Tyrod showed up when the game mattered with those stats he would have more fans behind him and would have been paid a bigger contract. Padding stats when the prevent D is out is how Trent Edwards had good stats, in fact even Fitz could pad with the best of them. Look how good he is, just remember crunchtime is when the good ones show to ball.
-
Stats are garbage considering many of those stats happened after the game was already lost. Prevent D time is when Tyrod shines just like others have padding stats. They better hope so or this new staff will lose the fans year 1, better have his replacement ready to go. Just like Whaley and his words when hired, this team is in QB purgatory, but yet here we are still in it.
-
So from what McD is saying is they are gearing and setting up everything for Tyrod, so another words we have a new staff gearing everything on a backup just like Chan did with Fitz that worked so well for Chan, funny thing is even the Jests tried to make that Chan/Fitz thing work....fail If they don't try to upgrade the QB position and stay with Tyrod this staff and GM are gone in 2019 in my opinion. Your million and a half posts in this thread says a lot about you
-
He is what he is a bridge but when some posters treat him as a franchise worthy QB is what I was talking about, pathetic to even add in the HOF garbage And here we are with Whaley on his last leg, if Tyrod/CJ is his answer for the future he needs to go I agree 100%
-
No, but yes...If the GM wants to upgrade a position it's his duty to do it regardless of what a 3 year staff wants considering a GM ends up with multiple staffs. They made their bed with Tyrod for 2017 so the coach got what he wanted but the GM has to think future so he better address it somehow
-
Yeah whatever, same old BBMB posters blasting fans because their opinion is different then theres. Love ya teef but they don't need your help The GM should be filling this roster and if Whaley can't Trump what is needed for the future of this team we need a GM with backbone to get the job done. Right on man. Sadly I see a Chan/Fitz era with McD/Tyrod coming into the mix with history repeating itself. I hope I'm incorrect but if Tyrod lasts more then one season as the starter this staff is dead in the water in 2018 in my opinion
-
BBMB Tygod lovers being put down, can't say I'm not enjoying it. Difference is fans that know Tyrod is what he is but hope he can get better while Tygod lovers proclaiming him as HOF worthy just off of 2015,2016.Someone should show how great Tyrod was in that Pitt game, horrible. Some can see he is what he is while some see more like the Fitz days or even captain checkdown Trent days of saying he is all that while he is not all that, he is what he is.

Trying the ol' process of elimination re: the draft
xRUSHx replied to blacklabel's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree, and with Tyrod being a runner he might not finish the season so we end up with CJ and a late rounder to finish the season with so this team is dead in the water. If they move on from Tyrod after this season we will have nothing but CJ as a starter since the other QB would be a late rounder needing tons of work still. If they draft a top pick from 2018 he would be very vanilla or another journeyman wont sell tickets. It puts us in the exact same spot of QB need and this team a waste of space once again. Smart move in my opinion is to snag one of the top QBs this season. Im all in on DW @10 if Cleveland doesn't screw it up for us. Filling your team with late rounders would have us set up for a top pick in 2018. IMO they need to stay right where they are and just pick trading back is just wasting picks IMO I agree, Tyrod can't see who we have now why have more sitting wide open Pretty much everybody? I don't agree that these QBs are that bad at all.Nobody knows about the QBs that come out any year it's a crap shoot every draft unless they are a Manning/Luck. DW to draft DW @10 Is my hope. -
Bills fire 3 long-time staffers and Team Chaplain

Right on man, best post of this thread -
What 6 picks would you take by position for this team?
xRUSHx replied to BrycePaup4ever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
QB LB OL CB WR SS -
In my opinion this team is still in need of a total overhaul of the QB position. We still have no legit franchise worthy QB prospects. I don't think CJ will become anything but a backup in this league, he might get a shot to start on some team but not this team. So in short I want the Bills to draft a QB early in 2017 and grab a QB for the practice squad(hopefully kelly). In 2018 draft a QB early to fight our 2017 pick for the starting gig. So in 2018 our practice squad QB would then take over the 3rd slot, Tyrod would be traded or dumped, CJ would also have the same fait. That way starting in 2018 we would have some young depth that could end up being solid franchise worthy QBs for the future all on rookie contracts. In 2020 we would know who the starter is so we could trade one for picks, then grab another young prospect. The process of taking two top talents in back to back drafts is how Carolina got their franchise QB in Cam and NE has proven drafting QBs are great for trade bait when you have a proven starter.

Excellent post, dead on man

How are you flabbergasted by what I said? I just pointed to the Pitt game because Pitt had 3 INTs while we had 1 but we still lost.
-
Sure they made a huge difference in winning the last Pitt game, oh wait...SMH

I have loved many of your posts from BBMB Teef but these few are all over this thread pushing hard, I posted my few opinions on here. I'm not twisting just sitting in the wings watching these few.
-
Just like BBMB, twisting words and the same 3 or 4 with millions of posts propping Tyrod up as a HOF franchise worthy QB while others have a different opinion of him just wanting to join the conversation to add their 2 cents. Just a opinion man, everyone has one.
-
HOF Not twisting nothing, some like to also compare him to the greats of the game like he is better. I know who Tyrod is, the same guy Baltimore drafted him as, Flacco's backup.
-
The thing is myself and many that want him replaced don't hate him, in my opinion we just know he is isnt good enough as opposed to some others that continue to prop him up like a franchise worthy QB heading to the HOF.
-
Roman wanted Tyrod to be a bigger passer like in practice but when the pressure was on Tyrod wasn't able to do it. The gameplay for Baltimore was to make him be a QB something Roman also wanted. Just not good enough, he plays like a backup, hand off and run over throwing.
-
Make him be a QB, we will see this a lot this season. Pitt did the same thing to us in our game against them. Tyrod had negative 1 yard per play after the first half and our D got us good field position and 3 turnovers to give him even more chances, still failed being a QB. Consecutive 3 and outs when forced to be a QB.

He always does, one of my favorite posters
