Rotoworld ranks Whaley as worst GM in NFL
xRUSHx replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm ok with a top QB sitting this year since they are trying once again on Tyrod. I agree a top 10 QB should start on a normal team but and that's a big BUT with Buffalo in this QB purgatory and staffs changing every few years with a million year playoff drought this team has to keep pushing for a franchise worthy QB. They have to keep trying if they don't this staff is no different then the last few banking it all on a mircle season out of another teams backup QB with no future to think of. Late round projects most likely turn into backups but Buffalos late round projects end up out of the league. -

If your blind and point it all on the D and coaching then of course you can't see our QB wasn't good enough. So my post of course wouldn't make sense to you. -

Right on man.But it is what it is, this draft will determine what the future holds on this staff. Got my fingers crossed a QB is drafted early. Late round projects are for teams that have a franchise QB all ready in place. If they want a franchise worthy QB they have to draft one of the top dogs. If they don't try they will never have one -

Number 10 hype?In my opinion they have to take a QB early, a top talent not a late project to sit behind the other late project. Top drafted QB this season can sit year one behind Tyrod make it or break it year so 2018 will have some kind of hope to it. Tyrod got the last staff fired and a cordinator fired year one as the starter here. If they bank it all on Tyrod like the last staff they are dead man walking in 2018 if he is no better then he was with the last staff. In 2018 with nothing but late round projects that might not even become backups in this league this staff/GM will be in big trouble. Draft a QB in 2018 will make that rookie have to play great right out of the gate. It's not hype for a QB @10 it's a must have in my opinion for this staff to have any insurance for the future. -

Head coaches don't think about the future they want to win now it's why Chan didn't want to wait for a rookie QB to learn. Its the GMs job to set up for the future, to think past this staff if the team fails with this staff. I'm very worried you are right and McD has more push and Whaley isn't a real GM anymore but then again Whaley hasn't been able to fix the QB purgatory he inherited so eitherway 2019 looks to be the time a GM comes in with power, sadly for McD he will want his own staff and QB. I truly hope Whaley gets a QB in round one otherwise my hope for this team is out the window for the next 2 seasons. Building around Baltimore's backup QB just got the last staff fired. -

If he waits till next year to pull the trigger to get one that QB better be perfect year 1 in 2018 or he should start packing now. I agree I'm thinking they will wait to draft a top QB till 2018 so 2019 will be a year of reckoning with a new GM on down. I think they made there bed once Tyrod was resigned but I do hold out hope this draft could land a top QB if drafted early, if not I agree this staff and GM will be dead man walking in 2018. Got my fingers crossed we get one of the top 4 QBs this year. I agree the D was a problem but Tyrod regressed and showed his years behind Flacco didnt make him any better then what he was in college. Pointing the finger solely at the D and coaching will put huge pressure on this first year staff. So if it doesn't make a playoff run or at least top Rex years with Tyrod this year is it once again a coaching and D problem? What cordinator takes the fall year 1? How long before they realize it's a QB driven league. -

Slow learners? If this is the plan it has already failed, nobody in their right mind gives a first year HC that much power. -

Hit the nail on the head. When Whaley was hired he said this team was in a QB purgatory and now staffs later it's still in the same purgatory. I agree Whaley is on borrowed time if he can't hit on a franchise worthy QB he will be gone with this staff in my opinion. The draft is the lottery, you have to be in it to win it. Late rounders tend to only work for teams with a franchise worthy QB all ready in place. Brady had to play tremendous to take that job from Bledsoe just like Dak did making Romo retire. -

If a first year HC is also a GM this team is in for a world of hurting. -
Pats sign Gillislee to offer sheet
xRUSHx replied to johnwalter's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Right on man, he's not worth that money he is not good enough to be a featured back let them have him and give us a draft pick. -
Minus the obvious...what would you like to see this year?
xRUSHx replied to Ramza86's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I want one of the top 4 QBs from this draft, nothing else matters in this QB driven league. With Tyrod this staff has no future. Watson is my choice then Trub, Kizer Mahome -

Good for him, enjoy the money and NE but don't let the door hit you on the way out. It's nice we get a draft pick for him, not worth that kind of money in my opinion. -
Probably? Most definitely in my opinion.

Recent draft history shows 1st rd QBs more likely to fail
xRUSHx replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Right on.QB driven league if you don't have a franchise worthy QB your just wishing on one mircle season from a guy not good enough. Have to build around a QB not the other way around it's why this team is still spinning it's wheels and swapping staffs at a alarming rate. Begins and ends with QB. -

You have to be in it to win it. Best prospects of the class have better odds to be great or at least be a backup. Taking late round projects is just throwing crap at the wall and hope it sticks. Reminds me of the late round Brown pick who is out of the league, couldn't even become a backup. -
The State of the Bills - 2017 Version
xRUSHx replied to ChanOverChin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Same old Bills always need a franchise worthy QB but opt to pay extra for other teams backups. Next year once again QB will be talked about and once again same old Bills. Nothing matters till a franchise worthy QB is found to build around. -
why draft a raw QB when we've got Cardale on the roster
xRUSHx replied to Commish's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Zero information?Plenty of info out on him, all you have to do is look. What I stated was in my opinion. Like I said a mircle could happen but don't hold you breathe is all In saying. What you highlighted said in my opinion. -

xRUSHx replied to Commish's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Off the top of my head Ill sayhis accuracy, doesn't read defenses very well makes bad decisions and isn't a hard worker. Top off losing his job in college. Also heard they had to teach him how to even hold the ball correctly last year. Footwork, mechanics, he's got everything going against him. Only plus is he has a strong arm. Need dedication to the sport to be good at it and when other stuff blends in with it, it pushes fail even quicker. It would take a mircle to even become a backup in my opinion, then again this is the Bills. -

It's more like your ignoring all the information out that he isn't going to be any better then he is. He is a huge long shot to even become a backup QB in this league. Can a mircle happen? Sure but odds are slim to none so OBD has to find another kid to take his spot and to fight it out for the spot on this NFL team in the most important position in football. If it don't click for him this TC he should be released -

Right on, I agree with this 100% I agree, in fact he could be worth even less then what we used to get him now I agree. As for Tyrod as viable I guess I could agree he is viable enough to get us a few wins but I for sure don't expect a playoff run, so in my opinion this team has nothing to offer for a playoff run for now or the future when it comes to QB. To not draft a QB this season is suicide for Whaley and new staff even if they do plan to draft one in 2018. Even teams with proven franchise QBs draft QBs more then the Bills. -
If the Bills lose Touchdown Mike.............

I don't agree, he's a product of the system behind a great in McCoy. Not worth bigger money in my opinion. -
Now that Crunch Time is coming...........
xRUSHx replied to njbuff's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The way the fans were screaming in the stands last season for Tyrod to throw the dam ball I'm thinking if this season ends in the same fail 2018 training camp could be a real ugly sight for this staff. Oh the Bills still wishing for a mircle season with some other teams backup as our starter. Whaley always waits too long, could have had DaK. -
Now that Crunch Time is coming...........
xRUSHx replied to njbuff's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's what I'm think as well. The sad thing is they could have avoided the Rex comparisons but elected to keep Tyrod so now year one everyone will be expecting the coaches to be playoff bound year one since everyone blamed the coaches last season and not the team that failed. This staff is going to be on a real hot seat after year 1 if they fail to match Rex with Tyrod. No QB to take over year 2 will in my opinion have fans heckling the QB in training camp again, oh the good old days of a year 2 head coach trying to win with a QB not good enough. I hope for better days but expect the same old Bills with Whaley as GM. -

All that money to bring coffee, I'd expect him to continue so he can get paid after he is fired like the last few head coaches.
