Sal C: Broncos Love Mason Rudolph
xRUSHx replied to Jamie Muellers Ghost's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
With 2019 dead in the water for QB prospects and QB value around the league add in how teams think this draft is a holy grail of 6 QBs and it is very possible. JMO -

What is crazy is how teams value QBs now in thia QB driven league. Very possible 4 or 5 QBs could come off the board in the top 10 this draft. This draft is being respected as a QB heavy draft and teams know 2019 has nothing to offer. Much later round QBs could even be taken in round 2 or 3 just because of the push in early one. JMO -

Again I hope your correct and the 1st round draft night is one to remember because of the trigger pulled to get a top prospect at QB and not for how they again missed by this much. -

OBD has done the same old thing with every staff. All it takes is the cronies at OBD to push our new staff to wait for max value just like it has with all the other staffs here. Just saying history says a good chance they miss out again pulling the trigger too late IMO. I hope this staff is different but let's not forget they ran with Tyrod year one so anything is possible. -

I hope so man but the history of OBD says different. Very possible the baby is already delivered to a different team by the time OBD wakes up from the nap. -

You would think so but OBD pushes for max trade value all the time so if they think let's wait then IMO Arizona could jump just like the Jests did, just saying who thought the Jests would get that move up. -

I think more then one team is thinking Rudolph at the end of round one and could create a battle of the trades for him. Arizona Pitt- Ben done within 2 years NE-Brady done within 2 years Miami-Tannahill NO-Brees done within 3 years Denver Bills LAChargers Jax With 2019 QB draft class little to pick from and 2020 a bigger question mark IMO teams will use this draft -

Hey there was a thread about Rudolph going before Rosen, could end up being Cleveland-Allen Giants Darnold Jests-Mayfield Denver-Rudolph Arizona(trade up)-Jackson Miami-Rosen Buffalo on the outside looking in again with nothing. -
This is what I've been saying all along....

I agree 100%, Sadly the way these QBs are being talked about we could have nothing left for one of the top 6 when we pick at 12 so IMO if OBD again sits on their hands waiting for one to fall the only thing that will fall is OBD again so in 2019 they could be looking again for a franchise worthy QB to use. I wonder if OBD will be trying to sign Tannahill in 2019 after Miami releases him. SMH if OBD doesn't get one of these prospects while Miami and the Jests have theirs from this draft the one we moved up to get just to fail because of the waiting for max value again. -
NE- Tom Brady NJJests-Josh Rosen Miami-Baker Mayfield Buffalo-AJ McCarron 2019 could really show who is dominant in the AFCE after all this if OBD again fails to pull the trigger

You said the same thing about Buffalo keeping Tyrod, where is he now? And here I am still laughing.

Kickoffs in the NFL Could Soon Be a Thing of the Past
xRUSHx replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Two teams running full speed at each other makes me think kickoffs should be done with. I am for the change of no kickoffs -
So we can go from "run Tyrod run" to "run Jackson run". No thank you to Jackson in any round for the Bills I want a true pocket QB..

Talk about complicating the hell out of something that is already work to do. Who is going to be appointed to babysit the committee? What happens when a pick can't happen because someone on the committee is offline? Who is going to be in charge of keeping track of all the trades and where each team is drafting since trades could get way out of hand by round 2-3. Anyone writing down each of these owners trades so when someone says there turn is up when it isn't Up? I would think we would need a arbitrator to settle disputes when a owner says one thing but committee says another. Why have a owner if they do not have final say. Who is going to count votes. Who has final say if committee and owner disagree. How long does the committee have to finish the approval? What happens if the person keeping track of all the trades is not online for days? Will this committee commit to be online at the same time every day to have these discussions? Will we have a open thread so all the posters can see what is being said by this committee? Who is in charge of starting these threads? So much work, again how long does the committee have to make pick official? IMO keep it simple stupid is always the best way to make something a easy success. IMO Virgil should run the new draft for round one the same as last time but without the trades, if all goes well and easy run other rounds. With no trades allowed it should run fast and should have Virgil not putting in too much time on it (still time just not as much, haha) IMO if anyone wants to make a more complex detailed type mock draft for the members here then maybe they should put all the time in to create one and do it themselves. Easy to give someone else more work when they never lifted a thing on even the easier one. Virgil did a great simplified system that worked well and was something quick enough to run that didn't give him too much work to run. IMO the trades made way too much work for him.
-
To do a complete draft with all these trades would be maddening IMO because of all the records of who is drafting when. IMO I took this as a round one only draft just to see how things could shake out with trades that way records would only have to be kept for round one. JMO
-
I am game for that, I would like to see how it shakes out with no trades this one got away a little with the trades IMO. If this one had more rounds I think I would have tried to trade back to the top of round 2 for my Rudolph pick. One without trades should go quicker IMO as long as most are on. The 6 hours could be a tough sell because of let's say they get the pick late at night. I like the 24 hour rule but encourage owners to pick as early as possible to make it move along quickly. I would think it would with no trades while giving owners a little flex in case they have a life, haha. Virgil thanks for all the work you did with this, great job man. IMO everyone that enjoyed it should give you a like to show some Buffalo love and appreciation for your dedication to it. I addressed the 6hours in my post above I also had concern with it.
-
Virgil made it so everyone had 24hours. He did a great job with it. Most of the owners made the picks quick so the draft could get done quicker, it was a nice break and way to pass the time here. Sign up if he does it again

Just going by Pitt reports and I also feel Rudolph should be picked in round 1 so I did it

With the 28th pick the Pittsburgh Steelers pick..... Oklahoma State QB Mason Rudolph That puts the Jags on the clock... There is interest between the Steelers and Rudolph, and if he is available at No. 28 there will be some serious consideration being done whether they pull the trigger on the move. If the organization feels he is the future at the quarterback position, making the move makes a lot of sense. He could learn behind Roethlisberger becoming more polished, and hopefully ready to take over when Roethlisberger is ready to call it a career. Doing so would help build the quarterback bridge from one great quarterback to the next in line. Something the team didn’t do after Terry Bradshaw hung up the cleats, but could have by drafting Dan Marino in 1983. While many would consider this draft pick frivolous, considering the other team needs, the long-term success of the franchise has to weigh into the equation, and Rudolph could be a large part of that success. Rudolph isn’t drawing comparisons for nothing. His senior year, the QB threw for 4,904 yards, 37 touchdowns and only nine interceptions. Playing in a pass-heavy offense, Rudolph is no stranger to responsibility, and would play with less weight on his shoulders in an offense filled with talent like Antonio Brown, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Le’Veon Bell. This style of QB could easily translate into the Steelers offense and replacing Ben would be, at first take, simpler then it seemed. Welcome to Pittsburgh Mason.

Nice write up man, thanks for taking the time to do it.
-
He is on a vacation from the boards I guess. Why would anyone say ok to do the draft if they won't be on for it come time to pick? Maybe it's time to replace him to get this done. I nominate you to just make a pick to move this along. JMO

You got to feel for them though it was a long tough 3 year battle. The church is now all boarded up and they got a few to move out of the basement. I am sure they will start to finish their dependency classes and are ready to join the real world. Give him time most in the church have had to take some serious time off after such a big trade of a saviour they thought would never leave.

Probably how the Bills will be going after a QB
xRUSHx replied to maryland-bills-fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
IMO they have the big 4. Big pocket QBs to see over the line. IMO rankings are more like this. Rosen 2300 Darnold 2100 Rudolph. 1900 Mayfield. 1800 (only because of size,I love Mayfield) Allen 900 Jackson 800
