Does it feel different NOW?
xRUSHx replied to MarlinTheMagician's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No different, still need a franchise worthy QB and still see no playoffs this season. -
Very good post man. Truth is Buffalo has the longest playoffless loser streak in sports because we have had average to below average QB play for many many years and it's why fans want a better product in the most important position in football. Want to get to the playoffs and win? Need a real good QB for that and Tyrod so far hasn't been that guy just like all the others that had a real good D here, just the same old average of not good enough unless your big on the once in a while 200 yard game that gets a win here or there while missing the playoffs. Still only see 6-7 wins max, not enough for playoffs. I'm on the fence, wishing for a playoff run. Go Bills

Loved that we won, I had so much fun at the game. Was pleasantly surprised at Tyrod. I won't eat crow till we make the playoffs because if there is no playoffs it really doesn't matter we won. Go Bills

Positives/Negatives from Today's game

I was pleasantly surprised and had a load of fun at the game. I agree with the B and I'm not in Tyrods corner, no way a A in my opinion either. -

For you to not know enough about Luck shows where your knowledge of QBs is. You can't predict injuries, if Indy did a better job protecting him Luck would be playing, injuries happen. Not sure where you got the absolute studs while describing those two in Gab and Bort. What many wanted for years was a QB taken early like one in the top 3 rounds. Buffalo could have Dak on the team starting right now. With this next draft its the prime time to take one with the top pick because they are saying its going to be a very good draft for QBs and we now have a very good prospect to compete with him in Peterman. -

Hell yeah, right on man we need better QB prospects, I agree its a lottery got to be in it to win it. It is a QB driven league so without one your team is going nowhere. Not sure about drafting two every year but one top prospect every other year I agree with. I love how Carolina drafted a QB with their top pick two years in a row to land Cam. -
Remember When? McD tries to tap McCoy as his OC

Tyrod is making more money then Peterman and has the experience so it doesn't matter what Peterman does they are not looking to him even though they should in my opinion. I would have already made the change. I expect a same old Tyrod game this weekend, it's a big game so he will be doing a bunch of 3 and outs. I also expect a few pick 6s with the Denver line getting the pressure and hands up. -
This times a million, right on man. In my opinion even if Peterman lights it up in the games he plays this season they still need to add one of the top talented QBs in this draft. This way they have two fighting for the job winner take all and loser gets traded, my thoughts is Peterman will turn into trade bait considering the talent at QB in this draft but will be a very relyable backup till then. It's a investment for picks for years later like NE does picking QBs even though they have a proven franchise worthy QB. Both being on rookie contracts opens up more money for FAs. They need to finally get a franchise worthy QB so we are set for many years to come for once, not this picking of other teams backup piles in hopes they have that one magical good enough for the playoffs season. Fans need that Kelly drafted again.

I feel they will audible more when we get a QB that can read a defense until then I just don't see any audible coming. 7 years later and still can't read a D, I'd say don't expect it this year.

A typical NE game, sounds right

I agree, in fact why didn't they just keep Lynn then if the owner wanted to stay with a Taylor made offense that wasn't good enough to hit the playoffs either season it was made just for him. Truth is in my opinion is Taylor made system won against the bad teams but the good teams knew how to stop it, make him be a QB. -
Dennison: Tyrod kept us in the game

Dam, truth hurts but oh so right -
I don't give the same respect to Tyrod that I give Cam because Cam has had a more successful QB career as oppose to Tyrods years sitting learning then 2+ years of not good enough as a starter He's a good backup at best, aka Fitz. BTW that Bungle game was with a different staff and system so no his past 2 years mean nothing to me for this year, even his years of sitting and learning isn't helping him this year. In my opinion he is still the same QB from his college days a QB Baltimore groomed to be a backup

Ha, right on man.Denver was in the so called talks about getting Tyrod but even they decided to go with a 7th rounder over him and proving to be right. -
I always enjoy the ride man, life is too short. Just in my opinion this team is dead in the water with this QB as the starter. I really hate the longest playoff loser streak in sports my favorite team has but Im hopeful of real change for once next season. I'm not getting excited just to get let down, my opinion of Tyrod faded into the just not good enough last season and it hasn't changed at all. I am very relaxed at the stadium now, I feel like some old guy sitting there all laid back but Im not turning red in anger since I expect the fail now. I'm a Rosen fan I hope he can clean up his game, he is pushing some of those throws but is one hell of a gamer and isn't afraid to try to slip it in a tight window. Also digging the Baker, don't see a shot at Darnold unless this team ends up with only 2 wins this season. J-E-T-S, Jets, jets jets, two guaranteed wins that could kill the Darnold chance.
-
Man I packed this season in once I seen the schedule and the starting QB, still renewed my season tickets though, lolMan I loved Cribbs, my first jersey.
-
Yeah right on man, I just hate having to watch another failed season I guess. At least with Peterman I can enjoy the fact he is young and learning as oppose to the Tyrod throw the dam ball screams every week. Run Tyrod run
-
Come on man really? Better then Cams? Cam won the game and is also recovering from a surgery, Cam had a excuse for his play what was Tyrods? Even a 50% Cam in the end got the win. Stats are worthless if all it is a loss in the end.Remember the great comeback game of Reich, his first quarter stats stunk but in the end gave the team the win. A winner wins and don't care about stats. Trent had good stats most of the time how did that work out for his career. I agree man I can see him getting clocked running for his life, again making his trade value even less.
-
Hey man it's a Tyrod thread I'm just posting my opinion on the subject. I agree next season should have this new staff with a new starter but in the back of my mind Im very worried of the Chan effect of the never ending Fitz, we expected change and never got it. Moving on now shows me this staffs is different, all I see is this staff running the same excuses Chan had with Fitz, don't believe your eyes. Was that last game really respectable? If he has a stinker this week is it respectable? I don't agree about what your saying, I feel playing Peterman shows McD plays who is performing and gives the kid valuable experience for next year instead of wasting the time teaching Tyrod when he will most likely be gone next season. Playing Tyrod to fail also makes Tyrods trade stock worthless if it's not already.
-
Right on man I agree Again right on man I agree
-
Right on, it bleeds Chan/Fitz in my opinion
-
Yeah I know, it just puzzles me why this team likes to continue to repeat the same fail. Billacheat drafts QBs for starters not pick one from another teams back-up pile and then continue with said back-up QB knowing it's going nowhere but trys to tell fans it's not as bad as your eyes are seeing. This Tyrod thing is no different then Chan/Fitz, nothing but a waste of time. Peterman could be getting valuable playing experience but no OBD thinks different. I just couldnt see Billacheat staying with Tyrod as a starter longer then a few games. So true Trying to look between the lines of your post, so your saying Tyrod has great upside and has proven to not be, in your words "scrub"? Isn't it counter productive to a team to continue to use a failed product, continuing to push something that clearly isn't working? Fans already want him replaced who are they proving it to, themselves? McD says he plays the player that is performing but yet trots out a starting QB on last year's merits, it sure isn't this years. Nobody knows how Peterman will do but we do know for sure this teams season is already destroyed with Tyrod as the starter with this tough schedule and new system he can't play in. It's over man. Wasting time and energy on a QB like Tyrod that will be gone next year is as helpful to this team as banging your head against the wall. Playing Peterman now gives next year's team more valuable experience at the QB position, training Tyrod just so he can leave adds nothing to next years team. Who knows Peterman can prove to be a Cousins/Dak type steal from the draft and if not at least we will know his limitations for next year to improve upon. Just my opinion on it.
-
That's funny you think that because it's totally untrue in my opinion . He would have given up on him right away and for sure wouldn't have given him a raise in my opinion.
-
Question, does anyone think Billacheat would have Tyrod as his starting QB for one year let alone 2half?
-
When? Can't come soon enough. I'm eager to see Peterman. Yep, right on man.If we can't get Darnold I want Rosen .
