Tyrod Taylor held to higher standard bc he's black ?
xRUSHx replied to Game Manager's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bills QB Tyrod Taylor believes he's 'held to a higher standard' because he's African-American Who holds him to a higher standard? Is it the fans of Buffalo that hold him to a higher standard? -

Butt hurt? The Bills have the longest playoff loser streak in all of sports, can't win a SB when they do go now our starting QB points fingers at fans as to why he can't get it done by using the race card against them. Butt hurt? Come on man, fans can only take so much before they snap. What a hard life it is being a Buffalo Bills fan. -

He was criticizing fans with the race card, his fans are Buffalo fans so yes I see it as a direct finger point at Buffalo. Quote from article"Bills QB Tyrod Taylor believes he's 'held to a higher standard' because he's African-American" Who is the one holding him to a higher standard? Well he works in Buffalo so that points the finger at Buffalo -

Tyrod is the one stirring the pot by calling Buffalo fans racist. -
Tyrod Taylor held to higher standard bc he's black ?

I agree man this is horrible.Sadly it was Tyrod himself that brought this up.SMH What a horrible thing to try to get across just because fans want more from the starting QB that it has had decades of problems with. Its not a race thing, people don't care if someone is orange, green, yellow whatever. We are all humans, race means nothing to me, if you stink on my favorite team I will talk about it but to call Buffalo fans racist because we want better is just a horrible thing to do. Now the national media is going to blast fans in Buffalo as racist. Horrible simply horrible thing to do. As if Buffalo fans havent had it hard enough with the longest loser streak in sports our starting QB calls the fans racist.. . -

Really the race card is being used now as a excuse for him not doing well enough. Man this takes the cake, before it was everyone else at fault now it's because of race. Looks to me he is securing his spot for years to come here since OBD doesn't want to be called racist. SMH pathetic -
The days that used to work doesn't anymore, why? Because teams know how to stop it, stop the run and make Tyrod be a QB. SMH

What do the Bills do to fix this offense?
xRUSHx replied to Do The Reich Thing's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well sort of, but not a end all. Yes put in Peterman but then evaluate the other positions for this scheme our new OC wants to run after a game or two of Peterman. With Tyrod the entire offense is failing this scheme but with Peterman it might not be as bad as what we have witnessed. I'd rather have our new OC run his scheme then dumb down the scheme just so Tyrod might get a extra drive or two but still come up short because he is still playing timid. -

I don't think they are going to be doing too many roster moves that cost too much money, I think they are going to ride it out with keeping the roster price down. Should I say silent tank job, maybe not but with no moves being done it sure looks to me like they are thinking more about next year then this year. Well it's the start that needs to be done first in my opinion to see what is truly broken. It's like buying a racecar team, when the racecar isn't placing well but you think you have the power you then replace the driver that is timid in the turns and is not going full throttle. Will it work? Maybe maybe not but it's better then spending a fortune on a whole new racecar especially when you have a young driver wanting the job sitting right in the pits. After two full seasons of a track record of things having to be simplified I tend to think the answer is staring everyone right in the face. So my answer is take the head of the snake off and see what follows so next season they know who stays and who goes for this new system and maybe along the way the rookie pulls out a great season. -

Very nicely said I respect your opinion. What I did say at the end of that was: So my opinion on this is nobody is safe on offense but to fix it you need a QB to run it, without it your driving a Prius at a NASCAR race. I said nobody is safe on offense so another words any position could be changed up/replaced. What I also am trying to point out is in my opinion is that it really doesn't matter what you change if the QB remains the same. So in my opinion I don't want them using draft picks to fix this offense but trades or FAs bring them in. I would like to see them start the process of moving on from Tyrod because I believe using Peterman in this system will help many of the players on this offense, because in my opinion Peterman will run this offense better then Tyrod. He's young so sure he will have growing pains but playing him will also give him experience for years to come. Many coordinators have tried to make Tyrod a better QB and everyone of them had no choice but to dumb down there own system to help Tyrod move the chains. I feel bad for our OC he is already on his last leg with many Just because people are comparing him to the last staffs scheme that also had to be simplified. How about Tyrod learns this new system and runs it correctly, oh that's right Tyrod needs a Taylor made scheme because it's all he can run so now this new staff has to hold up the team learning and trusting the new system because our leader can't do it. -

We all want to save the season, so we all discuss it on here with opinions. The broken record that just keeps on spinning about QB because it's the main problem in my opinion. The question was how do you fix this offense this season. It was asked and I gave a answer just because you dont like it doesnt mean my answer is wrong and yours is right. Some of the posters answered to change the QB and if Peterman doesn't work your no better off then the one that is stinking it up now. Your getting so upset about our answer to the question but without the main ingredient working the rest will fail. It's like making a omelet with expired eggs, it looks good but it will get you sick even though the rest of the ingredients are good and fresh. So my answer like many others is to change the QB, use Peterman. You don't like it and that's fine but I do, thats why this is a opinion based board there is different opinions on each subject. Already answered. P E T E R M A N -

When the Bills find a franchise worthy QB only then QB won't be all over fans minds. It's been a problem for so long you would think OBD would spend 4 or 5 drafts to get a couple to make sure they have the best chance to land one not constantly using other teams backups for the starter roll here. It all starts with the QB without one this team isn't going very far. So my opinion on this is nobody is safe on offense but to fix it you need a QB to run it, without it your driving a Prius at a NASCAR race. -
Destination Cousins: Nine Places Kirk Could Play in 2018

If you want a good QB you have to pay for it. Would love to see him here but... I'd rather see them draft a top prospect QB in 2018 and use that money on other positions on a team that needs a complete offensive rebuild. -

In my opinion Boldin seen what he had here in Tyrod and ran to the hills. Tyrod on the outside world looks like a good QB, stats lie. Once he started seeing it first hand in a Taylor made scheme it was over in my opinion. Wouldn't doubt Watkins filled him in and added to his decision. -
Again, how can a switch to Peterman be any worse?

What is sad is many will be thinking the same thing wanting Tyrod to get hurt and that's not good, I never wish a player to get hurt, well unless it's Brady of course.haha -

I know right. Sorry man. It's been a issue with this team for so long it just comes out natural now. -
Cry me a river, fans want more from the most important position in football and want a playoff run not the pretenders year after year. If he wasn't a problem fans wouldn't be all over him. This season when the Bills won some propped Tyrod up to Brees/Brady status not looking at the entire picture why they won just Tyrods wonderful 190 day. Many can see they won not because of him but in spite of him, since they won many backed off the 190 day of criticizing him and prop up the players that truly shined like the D/kicker. Tyrod did enough for the win his crit was left alone while still knowing it could be a problem later on. Since the in spite of couldn't do enough the Bills lost because the offense couldn't do enough so Tyrod gets blamed because the QB is the one that has to get that offense moving, he is the leader and is responsible to make it happen. When he plays like he did he deserves to get fingers pointed especially when he holds the ball and doesn't throw it, trentive. Those same that prop him up to the top of the league status for his 190 win can only see it's not Tyrods fault it's everyone else's, the OC, line,WRs,RBs,TEs, pointing the finger everywhere but at Tyrod. Hey man we can all see the entire offense stunk but since Tyrod is the QB he gets the blunt of it because that responsibility comes with the job, welcome to the NFL. It's why they call it a QB driven league when QB fails to drive the offense is dead in the water and the QB gets the blunt of the blame.

This offense needs talent, young talent. What our new GM needs to do is rebuild it with the draft, stock pile more picks, move more ageing players. I don't believe this story to be true. If anything if we were in the mix about a trading of top ageing RB it was to move McCoy for the right price in my opinion. I hope nobody is safe on this team as I want it to be built for the long haul with young top talent and I hope finding a franchise worthy QB is the top goal first and formost. -

Tyrod was the QB and I was talking about how Tyrods stats lie and gave one example of how padding happens. Bell put the game away on the opening drive of the third quarter. Down 24-7, the Bills scored twice in the final 7:27 Taylor finished 15 of 25 for 228 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. -

Showed exactly what I was talking about. Sure never said they were great last season we are talking about Tyrod, they got 3 INTs though that gave Tyrod the ball at the 7 to get one of his TDs. Tyrod had negative yards the entire first half
