Haha, Bortles great job. Funny how some in another thread was saying how much better Tyrod is then Bortles, wonder if they change there mind after this big away game.
-
Nice throw by Bortles to get him in stride
-
Wish we had a QB that could have us still in a game like this. Our QB has trouble even getting 1 TD.
-
RB value has gone down, IMO no need to spend any less then a 3rd on one in today's NFL. QB is main issue for this team to address because of it being a passing league IMO. I agree we had a thing for RBs taken early. LoL, funny how Thurman not a top pick was one of our best ever.
-
I know just messing around
-
Get the right QB and even Hogan is a real good WR.
-
2nd round wouldnt be Billsy got to move up in a Watkins type trade to take a RB in the top 10 of the 1st. Now that is a thriller just like the Spiller. Haha
-
Having a great D is great but it is a passing league even the great ones can't hold a team with a great QB the entire game. Bortles is going to have to do something to help his D and his team otherwise down hill the great Jags D will go. This league is QB driven and why it is considered a passing league not a D league.
-
You were saying
-
Yeah his 3 points was wonderfully better then the 7 Pitt has even before the half. SMH. Edit: oh wait a minute, Roth gets a big TD something Tyrod could never do.
-
I am sure the NFL would rather have the two old time QBs in Roth/Brady battle it out in NE over a young nasty D pounding on there golden child QB they want to win the SB. Jags win in NE I for sure will watch the SB but NE in SB I think I will find some paint to watch dry. Watchout the refs could help Pitt come back in the 2nd half.
-
So having a pathetic QB should make you want to go for it against a top D on 4th down? SMH Truth is IMO count your blessings and be glad you even made it down the field and got something. Always hope you get back down there somehow. Don't forget Tyrod was lucky to even get FGs this year let alone a single TD. Levy was questioned about why the FGs many years back and he said 3 FGs is more then one TD. Even with Kelly Levy kicked plenty of FGs, with your logic Levy should have never kicked on 4th down because of Kelly greatness, fire Marchabrota. Truth is IMO you take the points just like Levy always did. Play field position and the FG game especially against a top D. Still puzzles me why anyone would think anyone should have faith in Tyrod to get a first down let alone a big 4th down play.
-
Of course they are the refs will make sure of it. History in the making, Brady will be the oldest QB ever to win a SB. It is marketing gold to them in this non sport entertainment venue. Refs will be a big factor next week in NE regardless of who they play. My money is on NE to win it all in a ref fixed sideshow of old man Brady getting another record.
-
I agree. Levy won a ton of games in Buffalo and he was big on kicking FGs. You take the points and worry about the TD next time down the field but never leave that side of the field without at least those 3 points.

Right on man. I was throwing the Glenn trade in because it was brought up in another thread while throwing Tyrod in was a lol to me. Doubt they would even want Tyrod on such a big contract and how bad of a QB he is.. I would think to get Dalton a 2nd rd pick this year and next might get them to bite but doubt they even trade him. BTW I really like your profile picture BB helmet, is it one you made?
-
Trade Glenn and Tyrod for him, draft a QB early and for sure I would ride that Dalton bridge a few seasons with a young prospect developing behind him. He for sure is more of a mentor then Tyrod and would also be on the same scheme as the prospect over the Tyrod route of prospects on one scheme and Tyrod on his Taylor made short bus scheme. Edit. I would rather the Bills move up for a top prospect this year but if they want a broken Glenn and a TT I for sure would take that trade.
-
IMO I'd like to see them move up and get one of the top prospects for once and I really dont care what it costs but I can see what your saying. IMO going the later prospect route they will need to get a real good bridge that can help develop the later cheaper needing time prospect. Tyrod being the mentor is not a option IMO. Peterman got no help from him at all IMO unless you want to point out how he shows him how to hold a towel on his head after a 54 yard outing. The bridge QB brought in needs to use the same system so the kid learns all aspects and the team stays on the same page with all QBs. With Tyrod the kid won't learn anything but how a short bus scheme is made just for a short bus rider while the kid learns to ride the big bus NFL scheme all by himself like Peterman has been made to do.
-
Yeah waiting for a good QB to fall to us is something that has really helped this team find a really good one in the last few decades. SMH Pitt and Washington looking, dam man. Also heard Denver is looking hard at him as well.
-
Yeah check the kid out he is a very good prospect with a modest move up in the draft that worries me that another team will sneak up before us to grab him. NE has the best ever QB that could end up playing another 4-5 years so lucky for them they can grab one that would sit a few years IMO, must be nice to have the NFL god that the refs love to protect. If we were in NEs position I for sure would check out Falk to sit a few seasons to develop.
-
Heard reports they have scouted him a few times this season that have stated they really like him and is a good fit for McD just like reports of Darnold as well as a top choice of his. Well there is always the Whaley waiting game that takes us to the backups of the league of QB purgatory. The team has never spent big to get one, don't you think it is about time they give it a shot for once with all this draft capital they have? This team can fill in with FAs, they need a top talent at QB to start the true build around mentality IMO for this team to start any type of Destiny. To not ever try for one is why this team can never get one. I want one of those 3 as well but doubt they will move up enough to land one of them. IMO Rudolph is a modest move up while getting a really good prospect
-
Allen needs a ton of work man, I have read reports he could end up the bust of the draft. Can't teach that accuracy. He has possible upside but IMO will need to sit a few seasons before ready. Jackson is a runner before being a QB. IMO running QBs only last so long in the NFL and are pushed to be more of a passer once in the NFL, Jackson is run first. No thanks for Tyrod 2.0. So IMO Rosen Darnold Mayfield Rudolph Then the others that need more work and development.
-
4 man, don't know why you don't have Rudolph a guy McD really wants IMO. Check him out the kid is a very good propect.
-
I just don't see Cousins leaving . I could see Smith in Denver but I for sure see a young QB taken by them to sit a year or two possibly behind Smith. As for Eli I doubt the Giants move on from him, he will help develop a new young prospect from later in the draft IMO. I agree Cleveland is taking a QB but when is the question. IMO there best bet is to grab one of Minn FAs and then take one with there second pick in the draft but maybe move back to around 10 to do it. The top QB picks do not want Cleveland anyway so why not wait a little while adding more top players and a extra pick or two. IMO I also think the Colts will not draft one unless they find a team willing to pay a ransom for a broken Luck. I also agree about the Jets and think they could also try hard to move up if QBs are taken off the board quickly and a team like the Giants or Colts are willing to trade with a team so the Jests could be the team to stop a team wanting to move up for a QB ahead of them IMO.
-
I agree, what worries me about him is I have heard Denver is quietly in the run for him. My buddy in Denver said they might take him with the 1st pick but doubts it but thinks they will move up from there 2nd pick just ahead of Buffalo to snag him. IMO Buffalo has to at least move up a little if Denver doesn't pick him at there first pick to make sure they do not move up on Buffalo. I hope we just go for one of the top picks and grab Rosen or Darnold but would be very fine with Rudolph. IMO I hope they stay far away from Allen,Jackson. Allen has bust all over him and Jackson is another Tyrod, no thanks. Trade back and get Rudolph? Good luck with that. This is exactly how Whaley never got a prospect that is franchise QB worthy, thinking a good QB will drop to him. Missed out on so many waiting too long. Never happens to teams in big need of a QB, but hey one did that was a bad QB in a bad QB class because that one time he got the one he wanted nobody else wanted. If they want a top prospect QB from this class IMO they better be ready to move some to get him and it is forward not Whaley backwards. Moving forward you get choice at QB, moving back you get what is Whaley left.

Roman got shafted by the short bus he had to ride with Tyrod as his QB. If not for Tyrod he would more then likely be a HC by now.
