  1. Outstanding Scott, I agree 100% Look at all those good players now on other teams because we could not afford to keep them. A real good QB you keep as the franchise guy for 10+ years unlike other positions you can replace with a much easier move after the first contract.
  2. I don't expect them to make a big move up the charts for a QB either. OBD does not hold QB in a high enough regard, new staff same idea, win now forget about later. I fully expect a QB taken later in the draft after other needs are addressed. Why? Because it is a known trend at OBD. They will either stay with the last staffs QB (the great QB guru Rex choice at QB)or find some other journeyman to try to win now with. If this staff falls to have another miracle season in 18 or 19 the next staff will come in with the exact same problems the last staffs have had since Kelly, a team with no franchise worthy QB and a team that has a bunch of needs. Wash repeat to another long playoff drought. Things will not change until the owner tells a new staff before hired they need to go big on a QB and to not worry about win now as much as addressing the QB problem correctly first because without a franchise worthy QB there is no dynasty just a staff on its last leg trying to get a miracle to happen while using other teams not good enough in the most important position in football. IMO fix the QB position and the rest will fall into place with patience. Build around a QB first because by the time you get a good QB your other positions you got first are now on contract that are too expensive to keep, you need them rookies to fall in line behind a QB that is established and controlling the team, it is why NE has ran the NFL for so long, all starts with QB. Find a real talent at QB and build to win later, win now just takes us to the next staff, time to rebuild again, say goodbye to most of the talent you just spent a bunch of draft picks on. That MD pick was a wonderful pick over picking Cam. A top player for 3 years that ends up elsewhere is not a good investment but a top QB will last maybe 15 years is. Got to look long term.
  3. Buffalo- Bridgewater, Rudolph,Peterman NYJ- KCousins Clev- Rosen Denv-Foles,Mayfield NYG, Eli, Darnold Wash, Keenum, Allen Ariz-Smith,Falk Minn- Bradford,Jackson,Tyrod Miami-Tann,White I would love for them to trade up for Darnold/Rosen/Mayfield but I think they stay pat and get lucky one of the top 5 is still available and grab Rudolph without any moves since those 3 are gone before the Bills can find a trade partner.
  4. That bonus kills most of what your saying IMO. Can not spend that kind of money in a bonus wishing a team will want him for even a 5th let alone anything else IMO. I do agree that if they pay the bonus this team is stuck with him another season as the starter. Please get my barrel ready I am going over the falls if that happens because I lose all faith in this new staff. So you are saying they are better off doing what many GM/HCs do and try to win now, sadly that gets most of them fired and this team continuing the same long haul fall to the next record breaking of no playoff seasons IMO.
  5. I do not understand how some think Tyrod will be on the team to trade considering his bonus to be paid this year and to only get a 5th rounder for that type of bonus is a complete waste of cap money IMO.
  6. IMO Keeping Tyrod at any level is just crazy talk. He is not worth that contract, at all. 4 years of sitting and 3 years of not good enough does not warrant that contract , let some other team buy that just like Fitz IMO. A top drafted QB should be ready to take over by the mid point of the season the latest so IMO either grab Bridgewater or some other cheap placeholder and be ready for the rookie year 1. I would even be fine with Peterman starting the season for a few games. That Tyrod or some other overpriced bridge vet money can be used on other positions IMO. I would rather them take a step back and address the problem over putting another overpriced journeyman bandaid on it like so many fired staffs have done.
  7. What I am saying is rookie QBs start year one, I won't even list 2016/2017. You spend top draft pick on a top rookie and play him. Sitting a rookie QB is a luxury a team has if they have a franchise QB already on there team. You scoff at my dislike of Tyrod but after last season he should be long gone after his pathetic season. Tyrod sat for 4 years and still stinks. 2008: Matt Ryan (1st round) Joe Flacco (1st round) 2009: • Matthew Stafford (1st overall) Mark Sanchez (1st round) 2010: Sam Bradford (1st overall) 2011 • Cam Newton (1st overall) Andy Dalton (2nd round) 2012: Andrew Luck (1st overall) Robert Griffin III (1st round) Ryan Tannehill (1st round) Brandon Weeden (1st round) Russell Wilson (3rd round) 2013: EJ Manual (1st round) Geno Smith (2nd round) 2014: Derek Carr (2nd round) 2015: Jameis Winston (1st overall) Marcus Mariota (1st round)
  8. I think Cousins could end up elsewhere with such a bidding war about to happen for him but I agree Denver is a team ready to spend the problem is I could see some other team ready to spend more then them for him. Denver could easily bid and if it gets to be too much just forget about him and grab Mayfield because of where they are in the draft IMO. I like Cousins but man he is going to want a ton of money IMO, is he really worth all that?
  9. Many said the same about Watson and he lit up the league before his rookie season was up. Carolina played Cam right out of the gate. Use that wasted bridge Tyrod money on other positions and start the rookie after a few games into the season. This is a much better QB class then you think, in fact IMO this team is very good considering how they carried a bad QB all season. So IMO we might not be a QB away from the SB but IMO we are a QB away from getting another wild card, maybe this time we can get one without another teams help like we had to with the not good enough overpriced 18mill Tyrod. The days of waiting around for years for a QB to develop are gone unless you are working with a late round project, 1st rounders start year one the majority of the time. Hell even Tannahill started his first year. Kizer a late rounder started late his rookie season, Dak also played his rookie season. A team does not move up that far in the draft to take a top 1st round QB to sit around for 2 years
  10. I love Darnold/Rosen and really hope somehow someway they get one of them. Mayfield is going top 15 bank it IMO. Doubt he gets past Denver. Allen has problems with feet and accuracy, needs a few seasons of development and still could bust by what some are saying. He is more for a team that already has a franchise QB, maybe one close to retirement IMO so he can sit and learn for a few years. Rudolph is a very intriguing prospect that could possibly be taken with our first pick without moving at all. They have looked at him a few times already. He can rack up yards, great in the pocket, accurate, he has had a great football development his entire time in schools. Jackson is so way off the charts to bother with IMO because he is run first just like we have now so why get Tyrod 2.0, he does not make my top 5 or even top 7 from this draft.
  11. I agree I will be one of them to explode if they pass on one of the top 6 QB prospects from this draft. They have all the tools to land one, just do it.
  12. Why would they try for a different QB we have a QB hand picked by Rex himself. Everyone knows Rex is a QB guru
  13. Caaaaaan you diiiiiiiig it???? Yes, yes I can dig it.... Warriors come out to plaaaaayaaa, McD come out to draaaffffft. What a great movie. Draft a QB early enough with Rex choice at QB or other teams backups. Got the tools to get it done. Make it happen
  14. The tactic of a PI call for them is one the NFL brass gave them. Do not worry Tom if you can not get down the field we will help just chuck it and we will do the rest.
  15. That was a garbage call, it hit zero but did it, too close to call IMO
  16. With the refs on NE side anything is possible.
  17. Is that like 7 penalties for NE to get the ball back and then get down the field. Same old NFL, don't worry NE the refs are here
  18. Hey the NE refs showed, clockwork to give Brady a shot before end of half. I wonder how many he gets on this drive to get down the field.
  19. Really always the OC gets the blame just like Hackett did here. Watching this game just reminds me how bad Tyrod is. Tyrod would have had at least three 3 and outs by now with a big zero on the board.
  20. I did not know either but when down there I asked. Bills play in OP and the Jags play in Duval county.
