Then maybe people should stop bringing up ridiculous things about Foles trades that have already been discussed 100000 times -

OBJ video ... Giants seem to be at an impasse

Oh I agree I was using their pick # as an example, not saying they would do it with Philly -

Interesting Obviously if one of the picks is this year, from a team like NE, Philly, minny, for example, it's a low pick, so two firsts from a perrenial playoff team isn't that terrible a price for him. -

Philly has stated numerous times that they want: BETTER than a 1st and a 4th for Foles, and if not, they will keep him. This isn't made up. That means they would have to value McCoy as a better than a 1st and 3rd PLUS give back another 2nd with Foles. What the hell drugs are you on, and where can I get some?? Or your second scenario is giving McCoy + 2nd for Philly 1st and Foles? What?? Then you think Barkley will even be there at 8? Just stop posting these trades you come up with, it's obvious you have no idea what the hell you are talking about and no concept of reality with these suggestions. -

What? There is no way Barkley is available unless we trade up. -

Except he doesn't. Saying he gets 550-675 receiving yards a year, which equates him to a #2 receiver on most teams, only works if you assume running backs don't receive the ball at all, which most do, to some extent. So he's not producing as much above other RBs as he is asking for. Sport Trac actually did a good analysis on it, if I can find the article I'll post it, but he was only producing something like 10-15% overall more yards than the other top backs on the league. They used the highest paid pack, Freeman, at like 8.25-8.5 mil per season, and said that bell is asking for almost double that, while producing 10-15% more stats. Said that using that as a reference point, 10-12mil is fair, and that 15-17 is too high. I think that it makes sense, but it's hard to quantify. How much of his production is due to teams doing brown? How much of Brown's is due to them stacking for Bell? I would say that I agree with them that 10-12 a year is fair for him, and anybody who pays more than that is going to regret it. Bell is threatening to retire if they franchise him again. Brown and Ben are already locked up. Bell is due 14.5 on the franchise this year even if they do. -

Great post. I edited down to parts I wanted to talk about. BTW thurmanator should read this. He said that Rudolph will be picked before Rosen and that Rosen is garbage. Rosen: Agree on him completely. I'm a little wary with his injury history, but overall I'm a fan. Mayfield: Agree on all aspects. Darnold: The turnovers and consistency leave questions, could get cleaned up and be a force, or they could remain and he will fizzle. Allen: Agreed again, I think he's got a crazy ceiling, and I am with you on the "not seeing the accuracy issues" that people act like are glaring. Jackson: Spot on, I deleted his paragraph by accident, but you're correct. He'd be a lock for top10 next year if he stayed in school. Rudolph: Again, spot on. I cannot fathom how we have people on this board who are advocating to take him at freaking #12... It boggles my mind. Stop slacking Gunner.

Rams trying to trade for OBJ per NYDN

Run around like a chicken with his head cutoff and not throw it. Or just check down to Landry, who will finish the season with 285 receptions for 325 yards. -

McDermott: NFL is a “drop-back league”
SouthNYfan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't disagree, but sometimes you gotta work with what you can get. I wanted a pickup truck recently, but they cost a ton. I wound up buying a lightly used Honda CR-V for $15k that gets 33hwy mpg, AWD, and enough cargo room and towing for 90% of my needs, instead of $28-33k for a lightly used 4dr pick-up truck that gets 20mpg. I would have preferred the truck, but it wasn't in my budget. Hopefully a good pocket QB is on ours. -
Josh Rosen’s coach said he would take Darnold 1st

I don't disagree, but Buffalo would be his best shot to start day 1, not necessarily his best spot to succeed -

I don't disagree with anything you said. Rosen doesn't want to sit his first year though, and there is 0% chance Eli is NOT the starter this year. You could argue he is on his last year there, even though he has 2 on the contract, but unless he retires, i don't see the giants cutting him even after this year. Jets are on the hook for mccown (10 mil), bridgewater ($6 mil i think), so I highly doubt he'd want to go there and then sit behind mccown for a year also, since I doubt they'd pay Mccown $10mil to sit on the bench. Denver might not be terrible, but again, sitting behind Keenum, and Denver is on the hook for him for 2 years, for a bunch of $$. I know people say NYG love Darnold, but there is NO way he's sitting 2 years behind Eli, so he's about the only guy I could see go there and force Eli out after a year. Going back to Rosen, from the top teams, Buffalo is probably his best chance to start. Again, I'm like you and have NO idea other than speculation, but none of those places seem ideal for a guy who wants to start, and should start, day 1. Buffalo is his best shot to start day 1. Anyway, I donno if we will get him, and frankly, at this point, I'm completely clueless as to what we might do, or who might even allow us to trade up. -
