It was a joke considering he is always injured and never thrown to. I'm quite aware of how solid he actually is. Honestly? I like him and I thought it was a good pickup when we signed him. I'd like to retain him after his contract is up, since we paid him a bunch and didn't use him that much.

S.I. : Bill's All In On Trading Up Into Top 5

Except there was. They clearly did not "earn" their right, as they were reliant on a miracle from Cincinnati. They made the playoffs because another team choked. Was pretty evident by us crapping the bed against Jax. -
"another" would imply we had one to begin with.

Yep. That's why we were making all the 90s pc references

You must be new here ?? https://www.barstoolsports.com/draft_josh_allen/

AJ: you think I'll ever be a starter? Tyrod: I dunno, I think I'm locked up for a few more years here in Buffalo, so don't expect to play here.

Lamar Jackson: C'mon, enough is enough

Definitely. It was his attitude too. He didn't want to learn, he "knew" he was the best and didn't need coaching (like Geno Smith's attitude) I remember when he came outta prison, the Berman interview, he said: Chris: "what is one thing that you truly learned from all this?" Vick: "that the rules apply to me too. I learned that I have to read playbooks, study film, and keep getting better, because I don't know everything and can always improve. In Atlanta, I didn't learn the playbook fully, I got by on my athletic ability. I let my teammates down." I think Jackson has a better attitude, and wants to get better. That's a big difference. -

I don't disagree. Like I said in another post, exactly what you did, that he would need to develop a pocket game, like Wilson, Cunningham, Newton, McNabb, etc if he was going to be a long term solution. Otherwise he might be great for 3-5 years then fall off the map. -

Yeah, I think defensively, while playmakers are great to have, a defense with good, solid talent and great coaching can be top5 without any true elite players. Offensively you need talent though, the kitchen sink approach doesn't quite work they're, it's why diva WRs get paid booku bucks to act like morons as long as they put up #s -
I think we can pin 3-5+ "X will be great" and "X will be awful stay away" for: -rosen -darnold -mayfield -allen -jackson -rudolph Then we have at least 1 of each for: -lauletta -white Every thread, every person in it claims they are 100% right It's really something It's kinda like religions. Every one says their God is the best and they are right, which means everybody else is wrong. Well not everybody can be right. Yeah, I just got a double phone line installed so I can piggyback an ISDN double 56k and decrease my quake 2 ping to about 275ms. I'm thinking of installing a second 3dfx Voodoo2 card to bump my openGL processing power and get my franerates up. My buddy is pulling some great frames on his new gatewat2000 with a rivaTNT video card.

Are the going to require guys to bring bag lunches and drive 1997 Toyota Camrys too? (Sorry I couldn't resist the snark. I agree they are willing to take a B- talent with an A+ personality over a A+ talent with a C+ personality. The question is where they draw the line at talent vs personality, you know what I mean?) -
My windows 3.1 Compaq PC runs that site like lightning.

No. He has first hand experience with Kyle Boller, not Josh Allen. No two players are the same. Fwiw I agree that he's a huge upside and a very low downside. The problem is people talk in extremes. Just because he has great tools doesn't mean he'll be great, but just because he doesn't reach that potential doesn't mean he will be terrible either. It's not an either-or. There is plenty of room in the middle.

Being really tall isn't good either, as you generally will have longer arms and legs, leading to longer, slower delivery mechanics. This was actually an issue with flacco early on, and it was pretty well documented at the time the massive work the Ravens staff went through with Joe to shorten his stance and quicken his release. They would have him almost crouch/hunch and short arm it for a bit to teach him to shorten his motion. The other thing with Mayfield might be his attitude. I couldn't care less about his police run in, but his fiery persona on the field has drawbacks. It's great when winning and things go right, but what about when it doesn't? Will he be getting in guys' faces, yelling at them, and blaming them in the locker room and with the media? Brady is fiery, and an ahole to boot, but he wins, and I don't really hear him calling guys out publicly. Jordan and Kobe used to call guys out , but would take the blame when it was on them also. They were notoriously hard to play with, and would berate and belittle guys in practice and in the locker room. There's countless guys who wouldn't take responsibility and blamed every other guy around them though (TO, moss, Ryan Leaf come to mind). Will Mayfield's personality be Jordan/Kobe/Brady, it will it be Leaf/moss/TO? it's a red flag to be concerned with, but not one that I'm overly concerned with, but I bet a few teams are.

I think Rudolph is a early round 2 talent grade, that, when paired with the QB premium, could see a mid-later round 1 selection (18-25). He could get snagged by a team with an older QB, or one who needs a backup (I could actually at Cincinnati grabbing him at 21 to replace mccarron). I think that moving from 22 to, say, 17-18, IF they want him, is a smart move.
