What Exactly is the EDGE Position in the NFL?

I think he's well below that. I always play to win. Played college baseball and basketball. Stopped football before college after my second concussion and a neck stinger. I'm 35 and play some beer league softball and rec bball still, and I play hard all the time. Why play if you aren't playing to win?? I hate losing. no excuses, play like a champion!! It's honestly why I think in the NBA people place Jordan above LeBron. Jordan HATED losing. LeBron loves winning. It's a subtle difference but makes a huge impact on how a player treats games. Peyton Manning seemed like a guy who loved winning. Tom Brady and Eli Manning seem like guys who hate losing. Mario likes sacking QBs. He doesn't hate to not sack a QB. I wish he had that mentality. -
PURE SPECULATION: Is Beane Forcing Jackson Onto McDermott?
SouthNYfan replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It was a joke I assumed this was a joke thread since the opening post is absolutely ridiculous -
Let's say we take Mayfield at #7

Mayfield will be gone by #7 so this thread is pointless. -
PURE SPECULATION: Is Beane Forcing Jackson Onto McDermott?
SouthNYfan replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What if the plan is trade all our other capital to have 6 first rounders next year, draft Jackson with our only remaining first rounder, knowing we will be awful, and tank-away to ensure getting Lock next year?? Yeah. I know it sounds crazy. It's still probably more plausible than the OP thinking Beane would decimate the OLine to "force" Jackson into McDermott, since Beane can draft whoever he wants, no matter what McD thinks. -
In that order. Spending all the draft capital on OLine and passing on a QB is the equivalent of spending all your money building a moat, 10' brick wall and a 15' chain link and barbed wire fence, then installing a top of the line security system around a single wide beat up 1970's trailer with a leaky roof and no heat.

Baker Mayfield in big game Vs Ohio State

Why would you can the same plays for two QBs with different skillset and playstyles? Brady wouldn't use the same playbook as Rodgers or Wilson. -
LA Darnold Workout Speaks Volumes
SouthNYfan replied to theRalph's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The same way everyone else "knows things" Taking the 30 seconds to Google "Giants darnold" and reading the dozens of articles linking them to Darnold being plan A. Is it 100% correct? No. Is it quite probable? Yep. When everyone seems to think it's who they want, and he is a great fit for a team most likely moving on from their franchise guy in 1-2 years, then yes, they most likely want Darnold. You beat me to it. -
LA Darnold Workout Speaks Volumes

No, champ, I don't believe information religiously. My statement was in response to somebody saying he didn't believe they want Darnold at all, yet basically every single source of info points to them wanting him, and have been on that page for a while, unlike the Browns who every source has them wanting somebody different . I can think whatever I want though, anybody can. I can say "I think the Bills will be trading for Aaron Rodgers" but that doesn't make it true. You're right, there is a lot of smoke this time of year, and it could be that the Giants really want Barkley, and are trying to goad the Browns into taking darnold #1 so they can get Barkley #2. Hell maybe they want Allen and are trying to push the Browns into taking Darnold first so Allen is available. Hell they might not want any of them and are trying to drive the price up on the #2 pick to trade it. All of that has merit, but I'm going to say that a team with an aging QB might just be going for a guy like Darnold who they can sit a year behind Eli and transition to, he seems like a great fit, and most of the sources I've read seem to think that's the guy they want. -

That's great that you don't think that. Every bit of news points to them wanting him. -

I'm good with that. Maybe he can curse me out and question my manhood? Maybe I'll wait until he hands me the food, say "you know what? I changed my mind, I don't want it" and drive away without paying. You know. Like he did to the Bills. -
I'm good with Allen. Only because I'm a risk taker. I even cut the tags off of my pillows and mattresses. I've started to think that this is a term scouts and analysts throw around that either means "really good, ready to rock" or "he's hit his ceiling, this is what he will be as a pro, if you're lucky"

I'm sitting in my car eating a KFC famous bowl. Realizing that life is good, and I couldn't care less that he retired. Maybe we shouldn't even run an OLINE next year. Just a center to small it, a QB, two RBS, and 8 WRs. Then I realized we don't even have any WRs on the team unless Zay turns into one. -

I think he would rather let Johnathan Martin bang his sister first . Yeah isn't it 2 full seasons or something unless the team cuts you/lets you out of the contract? -

Is he big enough to play both center and guard at the exact same time?? That would be awesome. -

I feel the same. Browns might take him #1, so if they want him, they won't trade the pick obv. If they take Allen, the Giants are heavily reported to want Darnold at #2 if Browns pass on him, meaning they won't trade the pick. We have to accept that he's not coming here, and look at Rosen, Allen, Mayfield as the "top 3" since a "top 4" doesn't exist for us. -
