Fred Jackson wall of fame or not?
SouthNYfan replied to Original Byrd Man's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't "say so" It's a fact You're making up revisionist history to fit a narrative. Exactly. Lynch was benched because of all his off the field bs. He was constantly being disciplined. People like to make things up to fit their narrative. -
Fred Jackson wall of fame or not?

The beast? Do you mean "beast mode" marshawn Lynch? Jackson didn't beat him out. They traded Lynch because of his off the field issues. Not because Jackson "beat him out" -
Shutup hipster. (Jk it was just an easy one) Beat be to it tenhigh. People love to preach revisionist history. Kelly was a sunglasses wearing, beach loving, arrogant punk when he was drafted. He went to the USFL to avoid Buffalo. He admitted publicly that he didn't want to go to Buffalo, it was last on his list. He said he cried in sorrow when they drafted him. Did he come to love the city? Yes he did. Rosen is Jewish, but identified as "kind of an atheist" in high school. Who cares? I didn't know this was the Christian Football League.

Keep our picks, draft Kyle Lauletta?

Agree with both of you. -

You are correct. It's not a hard list to get on though. 5400 yards in 7 years. We haven't had many great RBs. Shady will pass him unless he has a big injury. -

Meh. Loved the guy, but not Wall of Fame. Agreed. Not sure what everybody thinks he's a no brainier. -
I bolded something which I fully agree with. I don't think he's a great fit for our OC style. I also don't think we should pass on talent because of an OC. Catch 22.

I know exactly what the test is suppised to do. Dan Marino and McNabb did quite well with playbooks last I checked. Fitz is brilliant and I know he went to Harvard. My point is that the test is wildly unreliable.

Project QB's who DID reach potential
SouthNYfan replied to Zerovoltz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Def agree. I think Mayfield and Rosen are expected to be ready and good very very soon if not ASAP. I think Allen and darnold are guys who you expect to be "the man" and elite after 1-2 years of learning. I think Rudolph is a guy you expect to be at best "league average starter" with some learning. I think white, lauletta, Ferguson are "lottery tickets". I think Jackson is with Rudolph as far as expectations, but has lottery ticket potential. -
If we draft Josh Allen I will accept that he has a high bust chance, but I won't be upset if they take the risk and he doesn't pan out. You don't win titles being cautious.

Project QB's who DID reach potential
SouthNYfan replied to Zerovoltz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hmmm... So for you project expects to be "the guy with some work" Developmental is basically a "we need a backup, but if we are lucky, he will start" ? I guess I could view the word "project" as an implication of a "lot of work, but I expect it to turn into something useful" vs "developmental" as guess that it night grow up to be a big boy I could agree even you flipping them We do agree on the fact that there are two distinct classifications that should have different expectations -
Roquan Smith

SouthNYfan replied to Zerovoltz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. Warren moon, Romo, Warner were all lottery tickets. I think a project would be somebody taken with the expectation to develop him into a reliable starter versus a guy taken in the late rounds who you don't expect much of. Developmental QBs: Rodgers Carr Dalton Wilson Mahomes Jimmy G Project /unexpected lottery: Moon Romo Brady -
I like that mentality. What if your guy has a drop-off after 15 yards?? ??

Brady has not committed to playing in 2018
SouthNYfan replied to BillsFan8083's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He usually takes the preseason and first few games off with a suspension. Since he didn't get caught cheating this year, he's just going to pretend he's retiring, so he can extend good off-season vacation. -
How about safety? We've seen what all time great safeties can do to a defense. Lott Ed Reed Polamalu Dawkins Atwater Berry Lynch Earl Thomas Chancellor Rodney Harrison Just throwing some names out there who gave been massive impact anchors for some great defenses I think after QB which is #1 you could make a case for any of your positions, and safety should be on there also

$$$$$ It doesn't matter why it's popular, only that it is. Popularity of a sport increases the revenue of a sports network. That is my point. Just because YOU don't like something doesn't make it bad.

That's my order of probability too Rosen is a injury question mark, but I think he will be okay I think if Mayfield busts it's because he goes postal on the media
