We got embarrassed. Blake Bortles rushed for more yards than he passed for. It was an ugly game.

You've made it clear that Rosen will drop because of his politics. You've made three treads about his politics. Now YOU are saying "drop the political stuff please"? Now you are trying to act like all along you said he'd drop because of medical. Just stop. Politics can be discussed wherever somebody feels like. That's the beauty of not living in communist Russia. Accrual protests and such I don't agree with in the workplace. Discussion, especially if prompted by a question ? Talk all you want

I'm starting to think the QB Class is Overhyped
SouthNYfan replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Rodgers didn't start until year 4. Granted he also sat behind Favre, so situation obviously not the same. Similar to Steve Young, who started early in TB and was a complete shitshow, then was Montana's backup. Again different situation, but it just illiterates the point of how much expectations changed. We want a guy chucking it day one, and aren't willing to let a guy develop. -
Agreed. Allen shouldn't be in the poll either since he won't be available by #12

It's been talked about numerous times, the colts didn't want to move out of the top10 when the trade happened. No blinking happened. The Jets had an asset we couldn't offer, a pick in the top 10. Could it bite them in the rump if we get to #2? Maybe, but that's only if they had a specific top2 QBs and miss them both. They probably have 3 guys rated roughly equally, and rolled the dice that nobody would leap frog them/Giants don't take a QB, giving them their pick of 2 out of top 3.

When the game is on the line...

There are actual statistics to back up the fact that "clutch" exists. It's not a BS thing. Some people choke in big moments time after time, others come through time after time. -
Rob Johnson is still bitter after 20 years

He was a huge d*ckwad. That's a big factor. He was also 38. -
Bills the worst team in the NFL this season?

Last year's records are all that matters. Obviously. Not what happens in the off-season or anything. -
Tyrod Taylor turning heads in Cleveland.
SouthNYfan replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He actually averaged 17 TDs (20, 17, 14 respective in that order) per season. So you actually gave him more benefit of the doubt I agree with the rest, he not Tanny or Dalton level. -
Rosen or Darnold? Who's your pick?

Agreed I was just responding to them getting picked top 3 I expect 3 QBs gone in top5, maybe 4 guys -

Oh I wasn't arguing about aj vs tyrod I was just just answering your question as to how a guy finish with negative rushing yards. Pocket QBs who don't run at all wind up with this. I think we might be in for a rude awakening having a pocket QB without an actual pocket producing OLine. -

A couple of ways they both fall out out of top 3 is Giants don't go QB, browns go BPA @1 and qb@4, or browns go Allen #1 I think Jets are set on Mayfield (hunch) I think Browns might go for the lottery ticket with Allen at 4 and Chubb/Barkley #1 I think Giants pass on a QB, but I think the only one they'd go for is Darnold. -

College counts sacks as "negative rushing yards" against QBs, so a QB who is a pocket guy winds up with negative yards. -
Been saying this for weeks and weeks. Smartest scenarios for browns and Giants are: Browns: #1 Barkley or Chubb (prefer Chubb actually, paired with Myles they will smash QBs) #4 have 2 of top 4 QBs still available Giants: #2 Chubb or Barkley (my buddy is a Giants fan who is all in for Nelson at guard, I'm like meh) Or Facilitate 3 team trade with Denver and Buffalo, giving Buffalo #2, Giants #5 #22 and Denver #12 (other picks included obviously) Then you know that the first 4 picks will have 3 QBs and 1 of Chubb/Nelson/Barkley, giving Giants their choice of the 2 remaining Chubb/Nelson/Barkley and then a RB or other BPA at #22 That's good for everybody.

I failed at typing. I meant the last spot as the Titans, then I said but they were probably a coinflip. Totally didn't mean to write the jags twice ?? -

Chiefs are better if mahomes is good. They are a better team than us all around, much better offensively, we are a few ticks better defensively, but mahomes is a big question mark. If he's good they're a top AFC team. If he's not, then they aren't. (Kind of like us with AJ, but I'd rather be in their QB situation than ours) Raiders was an anomaly last year, they are very talented, Carr is very good, and gruden is running the show now. Chargers are better at the places that matter most (QB, pass rush, receivers) and most likely will be better than us. My point was the guy said we were the 6th best team in the AFC East unless proven otherwise. I'm not sure why he thinks that off-season moves don't matter. We are worse at wr. Matthews is gone, Zay night not be fit to play, Benjamin had off-season knee surgery, again. Lb Milano is very solid, but lorax is about 90 years old. We literally are barren at lb with zero depth. Dline is very solid if star can regain his form previously under MCD, if he plays like last year he's a bust. OLine we are a mess. QB we are actually a step back unless AJ can perform at above average starter level (again, it was the right move and in the long term with the right draft choice we will be better) We definitely aren't a 2 win team. We also aren't the 9 win team we were last year, since what was an overachieve, though I was happy with the coaching and I think we are good for a while going forward. This year should be viewed as a possible step back from last year in terms of W-L as we will be integrating many new young players and a brew QBs into the mix. I see 6-7 wins this year as a solid number, with 4-5 possible in the cards depending on the QB situation. People need to be realistic. Optimism is 8 wins, but unrealistic looking at the schedule. Exactly what I'm saying. Point differential is tough to gauge this year with the QB position turnover though, but as I even said in my other response, if AJ is much better than expected, then we could rock 8-9 wins.
