  1. Your username indicates no bias at all.
  2. I don't disagree. I'm just saying that jrober is exaggerating and moving the accuracy slider to make his point seem more valid.
  3. Poor accuracy and poor decision making agent the same thing. Peterman was over 60% though. Maybe we should start him.
  4. Allen seemed to have a mechanical issue with his footwork leading to inconsistant throws. Why is it that we assume Darnold can fix his mechanics but Allen cannot? Again you picked 58% as an arbitrary number. A few QBs have been around the 60% mark. Russell Wilson was sub 60% until his absurd senior year comp% Allen is a Jr coming out
  5. Oops. I was going with the general consensus that 60% if the magic#. You changed it to 58% to fit your narrative.
  6. Yes he is. Word was they wanted Allen so that's why we paid up to secure him. Again, go read what you quoted of mine. I clearly explained why the Jets and browns passed on him, as well as my statement about it being him vs Allen for us being my point at our spot. Rosen was the most NFL ready, but has a huge injury question mark. The dolphins front office has been inept for a long time, so B is the most likely scenario for them. They more than likely freely he would drop one more spot, or they were balling the other teams.
  7. Rosen is the most NFL ready. Every scout agrees on that from what I've seen, go research it. Darnold is expected to sit a year most likely, and most half a year. Mayfield has very real education incoming to learn pro offenses, and his front office also just drafted a cb @#4 who wasn't even the top rated cb by most, when they could have snagged him a couple picks later. The browns front office is not a good barometer of what was done being correct. Rosen has a very real and risky injury history, between his shoulder and his concussions, taking a guy that high who's been hurt as often as him reeks of Bradford, so I'm not terribly upset they passed on him, but I'm not terribly happy about it either, since Allen is risky too in regards to development. They swung for the fences, and every draft guy had him as the highest bust chance. His busy potential was why I called it "billsy", and I used it to illustrate my joking point regarding previous regime ineptitudes. This is a new front office, so I'm willing to give them a shot.
  8. Browns and Jets took Mayfield and Darnold. Rosen was the most NFL ready. They felt the others had higher ceilings, or less injury risk, with the second being the most likely. Broncos too Chubb because he's a beast and they look to be committed to rolling the dice with keenum. My statement was in reference to our pick vs Rosen. No the dolphins couldn't have "easily secured" Rosen. Did they have two seconds to give up to beat our offer? Did they match Arizona's offer to Oakland? Saying they passed on Rosen when he was taken before them is just flat out wrong. More than likely they thought he would fall one more spot and Arizona jumped them.
  9. He doesn't need to justify anything. He made his pick, now he just needs to accept the roll of the dice he just made. If the rest of the moves he's made continue to pay out, like drafting Edwards, the FA signings (Davis, star, Murphy) I'm willing to let the Allen pick slide if it falls, with a couple conditions: -they give Allen enough time to actually develop before cutting bait, the last thing you want is to give up early, then he blossoms with another team -Beane continues to hit doubles, triples, and home runs with his other picks. If your QB pick fails, everything else you did better be legit and impactful overall. -Beane recognizes the mistake if Allen fails, owns it, and goes for another QB. This is a big one for me. When our previous QBs were failing, our former GMs sat on their hands and were afraid to take risks on another QB. It's like a basketball player never shooting because he is afraid to miss. Guess what? Never taking another shot is just as bad, eventually the shot clock runs out. If your guy is failing, take another shot until something hits. I expect Beane and McD to be here another 4 years minimum, were have to see how this plays out.
  10. There's a word for their typical moves, it's called "Bills" Used in a sentence: Drafting Josh Allen, a boom or bust project QB, over the most NFL ready QB Josh Rosen, was the most BILLSY move they could have made.
  11. Diaper needs changing first. People seem pretty mad about this, others seem ecstatic, and I don't blame either side for feeling how they do. He was the most polarizing QB in the draft. Experts either thought he was going to be Jesus Christ Superstar, or the next Kyle Boller, and we're adamant about either side. The only thing the experts agreed on was that there was no middle ground with him, very "boom or bust". I do agree with you about the crying, people need to stop the personal attacks and calling people idiots for liking Allen, but they also need to stop calling people idiots for not liking him. He has very real and tangible strengths, but also very huge flaws and a long way to go before he is ready to be effective. Both sides have valid points, and nobody is an idiot for feeling either way about him. I preferred Rosen, but I'm positive they didn't like his durability concerns, and didn't want Bradford2.0 with the fiberglass skeleton. Your franchise QB is useless if he can't stay on the field. My biggest gripe was that we paid #12 and TWO second round picks for Allen, when the Cardinals paid #15 a 3rd and a 5th for Rosen. Feels like we got fleeced, but you know what? If he even turns into a top10 guy it was worth it, and if he becomes elite, it was a freaking steal. Go Bills. Fingers crossed Allen was the right pick.
  12. Yeah. He's a freaking monster. I'm very happy with this.
  13. what is an excuse? H20 said he would have been available at #12. I said he wouldn't have been due to AZ and MIA being ahead of #12. I'm not sure what I was making an excuse about?
  14. Agreed. I'm not THRILLED with Allen, and I'm a little annoyed we gave up TWO second rounders, meanwhile AZ only gave up a 3rd and 5th to move up and get Rosen... My response was to H20 who said "allen would have been available at #12" which I was asserting that he most certainly would not have been.
  15. Peterman gonna come out gunnin'
  16. Well. It's a fact that Rosen or Allen would be gone, since AZ traded up and took Rosen. Miami was very high on a QB as well, which is why AZ leapfrogged them. So while nobody knows for sure, your assumption that Allen would still have been available @ #12 is much less plausible than my scenario.
  17. Miami was well known to not be happy with Tanny longterm, and were high on Rosen, Mayfield, and I believe Allen also. Arizona traded up ahead of Miami because they knew they wanted a QB. That's two QB's gone before us at #12.
  18. I don't like the pick, I wanted Rosen, but stop making things up. Allen wouldn't have been available @ #12. That's just a fact. Arizona was trading up, Miami was ahead of us. Rosen and Allen would have been gone.
  19. I think they might have figured "well we don't have anybody for him to throw the ball to, so might as well draft a guy who has to sit for a year" #sarcasm I'm just upset that we gave up TWO seconds to move up and get him, then f*ckin' Arizona gives up a 3rd and 5th to move up for Rosen. #/wrists
  20. No, he wouldn't have been. Rosen and Allen would have been gone between AZ and Miami. I'm not happy with the pick, I wanted Rosen, but seriously, they both would have been gone at #12.
  21. Maybe he's more of a SRT Challenger... so a little reliability concerns : ) Yeah man. I'm hoping. I'm still nauseous.
  22. I "liked" this, but really I don't think that's enough alcohol for how I feel right now...
  23. I'm really upset that we gave up: #12 (1), #53 (2), #56 (2) to get: Josh Allen and 7th rounder and Arizona did: #15, #79, #152 to get: Rosen I feel like we just paid Corvette price for a Chevrolet Malibu, meanwhile Arizona paid Camaro price for a Corvette.
