Please tell me what he said that was inaccurate, and feel free to use your own analysis and comparisons to show us why this article was inaccurate. It was pretty spot on. Agreed Kirby. This year could be a tire-fire, especially with the Oline, which is awful. The receivers have some potential, but also haven't proven anything, and thus far, have not looked good. Davis looks awful. The article was pretty spot on, the Bills could be in for a really rough year, or they could have a great season if a lot of the young guys pan out to their potential. I'm willing to be we don't crack 5 wins, since our Oline looks like a disaster, and we have some SERIOUS pass rushes coming early in the season. Everything he said was accurate. Oline stinks. Receivers stink unless coleman and zay pan out. Edmunds is very good, which he said is a "future superstar" although he is a rookie, and will make a lot of mistakes calling the shots, which is expected. CB outside of White looks terrible. Davis looks like a mess, and gains as well. Zero pass rush outside of Hughes. Star looks like he's mailing it in already. We have some really solid young guys, but they don't look ready for big time yet.

People would rather settle for mediocrity. Especially when he was due what? $18milly? Please. Dude had his chance. Amazes me how people act like we traded away the greatest QB in Bills history. The Knights of Taylor will defend him to the death, yet when confronted with one simple question, they have no answer: If he was so amazing, why, in a passing, QB-centric league, where the best teams year in, year out, rely on a good passing attack, was NOBODY willing to pony up in a trade for him, and the only team that was, gave up nothing more than a 3rd round pick, then STILL drafted a QB #1 overall? The answer is easy, but the Tyrod lovers won't admit it.
-
Except he is referring to last year specifically. He is 29 which is not young for a running QB who's game is predicted on his athleticism If he was so good then why was the only offer a 3rd round pick from the Browns?

Okay thanks -
And your most recent responses, which I quoted with his, were in response to him stating that currently there are 30+ QBs who teams would not trade straight up for Tyrod. Then you started bringing in prior seasons.

Reading is hard.

He has perpetually stated that he is talking about after last season, and at this current moment, yet you continue to bring up 2016 statistics. NOBODY IS TALKING ABOUT 2016.

Yeah, I think we did pay it, but the way the contract is structured the #s against the cap are spread out. So either way the pegs are on the hook for the $$, it just depends on where it falls in the cap year to year. -
I'd say he's above Brissett. He's definitely below Trubisky based solely on the fact that he's only a sophmore and they traded a bunch to get him. He shouldn't be starting in the NFL anymore IMO.

Misunderstood it then, thanks. Either way, if we keep him he's the #8 dline contract in the league per year. That's probowl caliber pay for somebody who looks like he doesn't belong on the practice squad -

So if he is cut after june 1st of 2019 then he has what? 4.6 dead cap that y ear instead of 11.5? was any of that paid to him also or is it a total of just 4.6 against the cap for 2019? -

yes, it is. those are the numbers if you cut him after each season. he has very little roster bonus, it is all dead cap if we cut him. he will be the 8th highest paid defensive lineman next season. please tell me how that's not a bad contract. -

Could you imagine if we drafted Rosen? He might have literally died last night. -
That Denver pass rush was incredible though. Our oline just had their a**ess handed to them by the f*cking Cincinnati bungles.

Try again. Cap hits are: $6.7, $11.5, $10.1 Dead cap if cut early is: $18.6 ('18) $12.4 ('19) $7.8 ('20) -

Star savings is cutting him after 2020 and before the 2021 season for big savings He's still 8 mil of dead cap if you cut him after 19 So we are on the hook for 2 years minimum, more like 3, if he sucks. It's a bad contract that was panned universally when he as signed. Anyway, he looks terrible and lazy. -
The Final Word- Our New NGU or Dunkirk Don?

I mean that's not surprising, his wife filmed a movie in pine bush NY, and I think they have a house near New Paltz. Unless that was a 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon joke, then I'm sorry I missed it -

Star got that big contract now he's living large. The lack of hustle is a real concern with him. Murphy at least is only one year that's a waste on his deal, we can cut him for minimal (3.5) dead cap after this year. Star is a nightmare contract if he is anything but borderline probowl or better. -

Star's contact is a nightmare if he sucks. Lots of dead cap for the first 3 years. Cap hits are: $6.7, $11.5, $10.1 Dead cap if cut early is: $18.6 ('18) $12.4 ('19) $7.8 ('20) Earliest potential out according to sportrac is after 2020 and would leave $5.2 in dead cap for 2021. We are stuck with him at least 3 years. Murphy is a $4.5 mil hit this year with $7.9 of dead cap He's a $9 mil hit each of the next two years if we keep him If we cut him after this year it's only a $3.5 dead cap hit His is a much better contract if he sucks. Star's is a mess if he sucks. -
peterman will start, always the plan

Any reason mods haven't ip traced him yet? He's a new account, probably recently banned on a different one, who seems to be gungho about things. He reminds me of somebody here. Someone who used to go to high end business meetings. -
5 biggest positional concerns for the starting 22
SouthNYfan replied to Mango's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well. We have the Vikings and chargers. I think we should make McD and beane take some reps behind that oline, see how they like getting their teeth kicked down their throats. Maybe they'll make some moves then ?? -
Actually, when it came down to performing in a way that QBs are needed to in order to win consistently, he did suck. He was a one trick pony (well two) -run -throw deep When those things were taken away, he was absolutely atrocious. One could argue that he was not surrounded with WRs to maximize his deep ball, and I get that, but when it came down to things like: -throwing across the middle -throwing into traffic -leading receivers -progressing through reads more than once -letting plays develop He sucked at these things Teams know this You know what Jax strategy to beat him was? MAKE HIM PLAY QB FROM THE POCKET Guess what that gave us? The terrible playoff performance. As a complete qb Tyrod sucks.

SouthNYfan replied to Mango's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Can we have 7 offensive linemen? Maybe like a second set of guards behind the front line, that might give Allen more than 0.2 seconds to throw. That was some of the worst line play I've ever seen. I hope our QBs all have good life insurance policies. I mean I said it before we should be starting np/aj for the first handful of games just because the line sucks so bad. I'm not even sure those two will make it through the first half of the season without a serious injury. The Vikings and chargers dlines are going to slaughter them. Like R rated slaughter. Like Friday the 13th Jason Voorhees slaughter. Texas chainsaw massacre stuff. I wouldn't bring a child to the game, for fear of them seeing an actual death on the field. It's going to look like when they feed the gladiators to the lion pit. I bet the QBs are drawing straws. AJ and NP are probably in the locker room like: Aj "No bro I don't want to start, it's all yours, you earned it" Np "Oh no way dude, you've been so much better!!" AJ "No way man, you've been so good!" Np "Yeah but you looked so good starting back in 15 man, you should get the nod, you're the veteran!" Aj "Dude you're young and look great it's all yours!!" Also Davis looking "woefully inept" would be an improvement.
