  1. The fact that the schedule is harder this year than last year?? The fact that we most likely will be making a QB change, with a new OC, we may see some growing pains. We are playing away at: -jax -chargers -Titans -pats -jets -lions All of those are tough games. At home we have for tough games: -Ravens -Packers -Texans -Vikings -pats -jets Detroit is most likely a shootout with Stafford, so I'm not sure we will outscore them. -Texans will be tough if Watson is back healthy -bears are a top10 D, but their offense sucks, but it's away so yeah, it's not an ez game. Looking at our whole schedule, 9 teams were not playoff teams, but of those 9 teams, Baltimore, chargers, Packers, Texans are all very good Miami isn't bad if Tanny is healthy. Again, it's a harder schedule than we had this year, and our QB situation and OC are still unknowns.
  2. I like Tanny. I'd take him at QB. Not over Peterman though obv.
  3. I just played a game with my wife the other day I wrote down a bunch of fake names from key and Peele, and a bunch of real ones from college football. I told her to label "fake" vs "real" She got like 10% of the real ones correct lol
  4. Thanks for the backup That was what I thought from watching a lot of his tapes But you know... I was told that I don't know ducks football obv because I said he's not "clearly, significantly faster" than Stewart, who dropped a 4.46
  5. Right? There aren't a lot RBs "significantly faster" than a 4.46 in the 40
  6. Waiting to see what Royce Freeman runs in the 40 Had a guy on another thread telling me he was "clearly significantly faster" that Jonathan Stewart... I said Stewart was legit fast, but he said it was and that it was obvious I didn't watch any Oregon games and was clueless. Stewart ran a 4.46 in the 40 for his combine. "Significantly faster" would be sub 4.3 which would put him in like top15 all time 40s for a RB at the combine. Can't wait to see Freeman not go sub 4.3
  7. Some interesting numbers so far Thanks for the thread bandit
  8. How many people will lose their minds if we "Go ditka for Allen"??
  9. Still unhappy we didn't draft him. You can't assume he while have been hurt with us too. Andrew Luck got hurt bad. So did Brady. And Brees. And Peyton. And Aaron Rodgers. And Phil Rivers. Injuries happen.
  10. I gotcha. I know it's bidness. Sometimes teams and players have a relationship that they can't fix. If a player feels disrespected, sometimes, that's the end of it, and they want out. (Like cousins in Washington) I do think MCD and the Bills are more mature than the skins management. I also think Tyrod is smart enough to not be too public about it, but when he's been interviewed, he has been pretty self congratulating and not very "I love Buffalo and want to stay" mentality. Toxic might be too harsh, but it's certainly not a happy, stable situation from either side, I think we can agree there. As much as reddog and I don't agree, I did use the word "toxic" first, in this instance.
  11. I had a really nice response that my phone didn't save... Sorry if this one isn't as eloquent. People stay in toxic relationships all the time, waiting for the next bf/gf to come along, because they are afraid of being alone. That's how I view this situation. If they can't trade up and get the top guy they want, I feel like: They are basically saying "well, we aren't confident in Tyrod as our long term QB, but I guess we might wind up staying with him just so we don't have to go to Xmas dinner with the family alone and look like a loser (or in this case roll out Peterman/rookie)
  12. "Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott told reporters Wednesday the organization isn't planning on releasing quarterback Tyrod Taylor. McDermott said with regard to Taylor that it's "way too early to take anything off the table ... other than cutting him at this point, which is not in our plans." That means he still isn't committed to him. I mean he benched him, he isn't "all in" whenever he's asked about him, he dances around the issue. It just seems like a bad relationship to me. Here's another one. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000917970/article/beane-tyrod-taylor-on-bills-until-we-decide-different Second article summed it up nicely. The Bills are like an unhappy woman, hanging onto a subpar boyfriend, until something better comes along.
  13. Yes, it was, and we played above expectations, and caught a couple of teams at cold times (KC, falcons without Jones, etc) and still needed a miracle collapse by the Ravens to make the playoffs That most likely won't happen again, especially since this year is even harder on paper.
  14. Exactly hap. I would honestly rather a guy who is subpar but durable as a bridge Bottom line is, looking at our schedule, we are most likely going to regress next year no matter who is an QB, so I would rather a guy who is going to make it through the season. I'm done watching Tyrod, and since he's going to cost $18 mil I don't want him Plus, do you think he's going to be happy if we keep him, knowing he's just cannon fodder until the next QB is ready? After MCD benched him? It's a toxic relationship for both sides right now, even if he might be the best option available for a bridge, I think the relationship is irreparable at this point.
  15. Dude. Gunner. You're trying to have a logical, unbiased discussion about Tyrod with a guy named "t-bomb" who has Tyrod as his avatar. That's like trying to have a logical, unbiased discussion about "cheating in professional sports" with Brady and belichick. Except Bradford isn't perfect if you want your got to sit for a year, since there's a good chance his knee won't make it 4 games. I mean unless you plan on throwing Peterman out there if that happens while still sitting the rookie?? If that's the case, why not let Nate roll with it from day one and save yourself the $$
  16. So you mean what David Khan tried to do in the NBA draft with the twolves when he drafted 3 point guards in 2009 (Ricky Rubio, Jonny Flynn @5 &6, ty Lawson @18) , two of them were taken before before Steph Curry, and couldn't trade any of them. (this would be like if they drafted say, Rosen and darnold ahead of Mayfield, then couldn't trade either, and Baker turned into brees2.0, while the other 2 flopped)
  17. *Taps foot waiting for the emoji response from transplant*
  18. Not necessarily true. If you have a unsteady foundation on a house, you need to take some time and fix that before you address other areas/expand. Trying to spend all your resources to plug leaks in a ship that was already sinking is not smart. In the case of the Bills, we basically fell into the playoffs, we weren't a hot, young team who peaked at the right time, we were a deeply flawed roster who did just enough, and still needed a ton of help. We were estimated at 6.8 wins, and came out with 9. We played above our level and got lucky a couple of times. I actually expect a regression this year, maybe 4-6 wins, depending on the QB situation (we have a rough schedule too)
  19. I'm with you on all that!! I think making it mandatory might cause too much push back
  20. That's difficult though If somebody has a minor injury that teams are aware of then probably not good to make that mandatory He's also scheduled to throw at the USC pro day Let's also remember than many of these guys have tape people can watch I think the biggest combine gain is physical performance (40, etc) Even that is crap though imo, it should be run with pads on A stronger guy might only lose 0.1 off his 40, vs a skinny burner losing more with pads ?
  21. I know, it's just fun to make fun of the Browns
  22. Because the wouldn't make a good decision to begin with, it's the browns.
  23. So going full Johnny football??
  24. Right, it would be more like the brees-Rivers situation, wherein the incumbent QB expected to be starting for no more than a season, with the intention of the rookie taking over the following year (I mean not the same in terms of the Brees injury situation, just the projected timeframe) Aaron Rodgers was behind an upcoming retiring future Hof who held on longer than GB expected
