  1. Cunningham was a very good QB, and successful. Unless you think that any QB who didn't make a SB/win a SB wasn't successful. Marino went to one SB in his career. He has less SB wins that Brad Johnson and Trent dilfer do.
  2. That's the point. The eagles love him on a cheap backup contract so they don't have to rush Wentz back. They are asking more than he is worth, by a lot, and if somebody bites, they got king's ransom for somebody they didn't have long term plans for anyway. If nobody bites, they'll be content having a backup QB who is better than like 30-40% of the starters out there, on a cheap contract. They are negotiating/selling from a position of power, there is no easy way to get foles away from them, you're going to pay a super-premium for him. Exactly, like I said above, they don't need to, or want to trade him, but they will dangle him and see if some dipshit*t GM who is extra thirsty takes the bait. If not? They are sitting pretty with him on the bench.
  3. He's drunk if he thinks Rosen doesn't go top 10
  4. Yeah I agree with all that I was just saying it's an interesting jump Wilson had Obviously sub 60 guys are worrisome, I was just kinda saying Wilson seems to have figured it out Jackson could be a force if her does too
  5. Agreed. Is Whaley the new GM for the NYG?? He might do that deal.
  6. Word is they want Jimmy Graham in Detroit, so they are prob trying to get something for ebron first
  7. Let's just run 4wr every down. Wait... Do we have any outside receivers??
  8. I don't know enough about Allen to agree that he's scattered all over, but I will say that I do agree with you about the scattered accuracy being very tough to fix, as it's hard to pin down a single flaw to work on. This is true of MLB pitchers and NBA players as well. For anybody familiar with the NBA, Dwight Howard was a good example. Compete physical freak of nature with very little natural basketball talent. His post moves/shots and free throws would miss all over the place, his mechanics had so many flaws, and you could tell the more you watched and the more he played, that he was nothing but a freak physical specimen who was convinced to play b-ball because of his athleticism, not because he was any good at it. Ultimately, when he hurt his back, and that sapped him of his massive athletic advantage, he became nothing more than an average at best, unreliable player. That's my fear with Allen, Jackson too. The upside is both seem to have great heads on their shoulders, and both seem to be very happy in the film room, dedicated to working at improving. That's a very good thing. I'm just not sure it'll be enough, they're both a big risk.
  9. Because "tailoring" an offense to a short QB has been so terrible for New Orleans and Seattle, right? I bet Allen's mom can air it out 70 yards on the fly from her rocking chair
  10. Rugby is as bad or worse. There are articles everywhere about the dangers of rugby, the high amount of paralysis/spinal injuries etc It's just not as known in the US because it's not a national sport. Anyway, I don't give a crap about the CTE/protecting the players, or them whining about not having good pensions or lifetime medical. They signed up for a violent sport to make millions a year. That's the risk. Mike Ditka said it a couple of years back, that "these guys make tens of millions of dollars, injuries are a risk of the job, if you don't wanna risk it, go work at Burger King, nobody is stopping you" He's a hundred percent right. The only reason the NFL wants to "protect" these guys is that they don't want their star players on the DL because it costs them money when Brady and other stars are out.
  11. Agreed. If you throw a hundred darts blindly at a wall, a couple are bound to stick. Most will just ricochet off lightly and fall to the floor, harmlessly forgotten. Some are also bound to ping off high speed and stab you in the foot. That's how I remember Whaley. A couple of hits (shady, Hughes), a couple of flops (like Sammy), and a bunch of forgettable moves.
  12. LOL I totally read it as he wanted to draft a couple in the same draft Durrr me ?
  13. I think he trades 10 first round picks!! See? No basis for anything. Just darts.
  14. What? Are you talking about the drafting two QBs? I'm confused. He has the browns taking Darnold and Barkley What is stupid about that?
  15. The coaching staff speaks very highly of Peterman publicly. Peterman will be on the team next year.
  16. Leaves out that his contract was traded WITH a pick just to get the browns to take him!! Lolol They basically used cap space to buy a pick
  17. Every poster on TBD knows who the best QB will be, and they will tell you why!
  18. I agree I was saying somebody else took the opposite opinion, that we should keep both our first round picks since the later picks aren't great in a top heavy draft Personally, I'm with you, and I would go with a big trade for a QB this year
  19. Mike Ditka says hello from back in 1999
  20. Right? Giants fans are whiny though. They've got two Superbowl wins from Eli. They should relax. The Jets fans are just angry mobs down here though, going to bills-jets games here is freaking crazy. This seems like a super deep first round, but not much after that
  21. I think that's the smartest move for them That guarantees them their pick of choice of any QB they want, unless the Giants and or colts trade they're picks to QB needy teams, even then they will still have a great choice
  22. Since I live in South NY (DUH) it's all Giants and Jets fans. Every single Giants fan I know wants Barkley or a big OL with the #2 pick. They are all ready to storm the Giants HQ with pitchforks and torches if they trade #2 away. Hopefully they do trade it to us, and make them all mad ?
  23. No problem By the way I agree with you commitment about 40 times being overblown Rice was a great example of that, his 4.59 dash was #13 for wr in his draft class The Walsh article I linked goes into great detail about how combine times aren't as important, but the drills/events are still very good at determining things, such as a OL or DL running the 40, they look at his running mechanics, how his balance looks, etc
  24. I totally misread that as the Giants wanting TT and Glenn lol. I was like "what??" Now I get it. I agree with you.
