  1. Drugs can contribute to manic episodes, but they don't directly trigger them. Other factors like stress, lack of sleep, and genetics are just as likely to be contributing factors. If he tried to jump out a window, he's manic, and weed doesn't cause that all by itself. If it did, it would not be legalized in particular areas for recreational use.
  2. Obviously its a mental health issue as opposed to a drug issue. And to all those lauging at or blaming the kid, schizophrenic episodes are scary, serious, and beyond the suffer's control. They can be brought under control with meds, but I doubt that he ever suits up in a bills uniform again. The NFL has a pretty bad record when it comes to mental illness and there's lots of misinformation (see comments above) out there.
  3. Exactly. The line looked god awful when Nate was playing, as the right side was a clear problem all year. If the poster is expecting noticeable improvement with AJ, he will be sadly dissapointed. Yup. Its not unreasonable to expect a bettter record from the Browns.
  4. Its simple economics, really. Beane can set (or inflate) the price of the first overall pick. And the beauty of not trading for the 3rd overall pick with the colts is that the Jets just had to part with 3 potential starters to potentailly draft a qb that could have been there at 6 but now might not be there at 3. Whomever goes to New York will be in a tough place, given their holes, as well.
  5. Out of all the qbs in the draft, Rosen is the safest choice. Most of the knocks on him are superficial. And I'm glad that they are, because he really shouldn't slip past number 1. And no, the Ryan Leaf comparisons are not even close. Ryan Leaf was an athletic QB who wasn't known for his IQ. Rosen is criticized for acting like he's too smart, which is a pretty dumb flaw, if you ask me. His family is highly educated, and he hates trump, so I can't think of anyone who would be more fired up to go against the pats twice a year.
  6. Im fine with the trade. I just feel that the attitudes of the posters in this thread make the rest of the fan base look bad. Most fans just ignore this stuff, and I get it. And you don't have to love Tyrod, cause I sure don't. But this stuff is public, and far more people look at this stuff than those who reply. And they look down on the fan base because of it.
  7. Your confusing me with someone else. Not surprised.
  8. Nope. I just think that talking trash about someone who contributed to the team and community, after they left, is in poor taste. And it makes the community look bad. Please, take this thread to reddit or 4 chan where it belongs. It contributes nothing, and its embarassing.
  9. Its actually a gender thing. But you wouldn't know that, now would you.
  10. And if you think that such a trick needs to be explained, your intelligence level is on par with the poster.
  11. There is a perception, in broader sports media, that a certain segment of the Bills fan base are cynical, ignorant, white pieces of trash. And its comments like this that fuel it.
  12. Way classier than a significant portion of the fan base and the organization deserves. The fact that Todd Hailey likely had input on the decision really speaks to the difference between how he is percieved in Buffalo and how he is percieved by some of the more creative offensive minds in the rest of the league.
  13. Thanks. He can throw the ball 60 yards on a rope, so I can't see that being an issue. Thanks.
  14. No one takes 4th quarter trailing stats seriously. Aaron Rodgers are abysmal, Tebows are great, and Rodak is hardly known for his grasp of stats, or his knowledge of the QB position. Rodrak is known for ****ty draft takes, and for having zero journalistic integrity.
  15. Peterman threw 5 NFL interceptions with less than 50 attempts, completed only 48 per cent of his passes, and has a QBR rating in the 30's. He does not process the mental aspect of the game better than TT, and its not even close. He panics, regularly, because the live game is too fast for him. Please, stop making these arguments. They are embarassing, as you are clearly seeing a difference that has nothing to do with football.
  16. And a couple of triggered snowflakes.
  17. But when you account for his rushing numbers, and the total tds that he has accounted for (rushing and pass tds) the insistence that he is average completely falls apart.
  18. Reaching or wiffing on round 1 to 3 picks is what gets teams into trouble, by the way. Not trading down.
  19. Because alot of teams with franchise QBs are cap poor and the NFL is trending that way. Look at Detroit, for example. Arguably, they would better of getting two solid 10-15 year starters at positions where the talent drop off is steeper than 1 pro bowl rb who might walk after his rookie confract is up, when starting rbs can be had much later.
  20. Given that they have been moneyballing their rebuild, I wouldn't put it past them.
  21. And, given team needs, would they not have a much better chance of immediately supporting that qb by adding a wr or offensive lineman in the same round.
  22. And this is just hypothetical, but say they actually get their franchise QB at 1, then would there not be a major incentive to trade out of 4, maybe at a cheaper price. I get the logic, but doubt they could keep both long-term if (and its a big if) both picks pan out. Best case scenario might be to swap 4 for 20 and 21.
  23. Retain. As in sign them to longterm deals, after 5 years is up.
