WR Duke Williams of CFL’s Eskimos Signs with Bills
PirateHookerMD replied to LEBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Twitter CFL reporter: "He didn’t have a bad reputation in #CFL. Worked very hard and was dominant. Was released early by #Eskimos specifically because he had agreed to a futures deal with #Bills which happens all the time for pending CFL free agents" -
WR Duke Williams of CFL’s Eskimos Signs with Bills
PirateHookerMD replied to LEBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
" Williams, once rated the nation's No. 1 player out of the junior college level, is scheduled to arrive Wednesday in Indianapolis. "Go out there and show the kind of talent you showcased two years ago at Auburn," Kiper said. "He showed he can be a No. 1 guy, he could be a guy that could be a tough matchup with his size. But, again, interviews with him are going to be critical and the type of workout and the type of measurables he shows are going to be important." Kiper believes Williams could be drafted in the fourth or fifth rounds, but how he interviews with NFL teams Wednesday through Friday will prove more important than how he performs in agility drills Saturday. "Based on what he showed two years ago, if you look at tapes from those games, you would have thought he could have been a second-round pick," Kiper said. "If you're thinking fourth or fifth round now, if you reconcile the other stuff and you're OK with it, then fourth or fifth round may be very possible."' https://www.al.com/auburnfootball/index.ssf/2016/02/will_an_nfl_team_draft_dhaquille_williams.html "SOURCES TELL US "I can tell you that he burned all of his bridges over there (Auburn). He's a selfish, me-first guy and I don't think he's trustworthy in the locker room at all. He didn't compete at all this year. I wouldn't draft him in any round." -- NFC Director of Personnel" http://www.nfl.com/draft/2016/profiles/dhaquille-williams?id=2555210 4.7 40, pretty sure that's Kyle Williams time. ""He has great size, and he has very good hands and he's tough, but if you're not a good locker-room guy, and I've heard from scouts that he's a selfish player and not a good guy, then you better have a great trait like speed. He doesn't. Size isn't enough," Zierlein said. "He's not a Marcus Peters, who was a first-round pick after being kicked off his (college) team. I'll bet everything I have on that. Big wide receivers that don't get open are a dime a dozen." http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000551103/article/zierlein-duke-williams-might-go-undrafted-in-16-after-dismissal Never hurts to take a flyer but lets not get ahead of ourselves. Maybe time has humbled him. -
NFL fines Jordan Mills more than Kiko and Quinn

Repeat offender who targets a QB gets less than the guy who pulls him off? what a joke. Was expecting a suspension. -

Should Kiko be suspended for a couple of games in '19

Burfict was suspended 3 games to start 2016. I would hope for the same treatment here. -

Must like what they see from him in meetings and practice. One less need is a good thing.- 336 replies

I have to think that Daboll wants to build this thing. He moved back to WNY for his family and I doubt he would be chomping at the bit to take that Jacksonville job. Have Terry give him a raise and I doubt he leaves for a HC job after 1 season. Not only that, but has the guy really earned a HC job? Suspect resume as this point. Sure there are extenuating factors but doesn't seem like he deserves it yet.

Doesn't seem to be a lot of bait for people to trade up for. Could be similar to the year the Dolphins traded up for Dion Jordon for peanuts.

Derek Anderson must have really gotten walloped
PirateHookerMD replied to Dan Darragh's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Shrug, its all super subjective and pseudo-science to clear people. All he has to do is answer a question wrong and he "fails." He has no incentive to want to come back quickly. If you were Anderson would you be in a hurry to play? He thought he was walking into a cush QB3/mentor spot. QB3s almost never play. -

My guess is it is largely a cover for him to save face. He was never supposed to play. With Allen back and now Barkley he can go back to his mentor role he was always supposed to be. -
I thought this was an interesting look at how the draft is shaping up. Surely lots will change. You will notice there is almost no offensive talent near the top of the draft which is a bad year for us to be so needy. Also seems like we will see less trade-ups given lack of QB talent and elite studs. I don't see much worth tanking for, as we are not going to have pick 1 or 2. https://www.si.com/nfl/2018/11/15/2019-nfl-draft-big-board-rankings-nick-bosa-justin-herbert

Gruden is a mad man. We do need pass rush help.... Doesn't make sense to claim him with a losing season though. Probably will get claimed by the pats. "Irvin was named one of the team’s six captains before the season, and he is the second veteran to exit the 1-7 Raiders in the last week. Safety Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie abruptly retired Tuesday after his snaps were cut down. " At least we are not the Raiders...

Nate Peterman "I'm ready to go win a game"
PirateHookerMD replied to BmarvB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The reality for Nate is that he should be playing for his roster spot. If he stinks it up again, he should be cut and signed to the practice squad. We will not carry 4 QBs. -

Pryor is a big enough deal that his power agent flies into town for a 1 or 2 year deal? Not sure -
Desean Jackson requests trade
PirateHookerMD replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As a losing team you don't trade for an old WR on a losing team who wants to be traded because he's unhappy losing.- 89 replies
