  1. I saw this in real time and was happy as hell to see it.
  2. I think you’re right and that it could be a leg issue. I see him biting harder on nice WR cuts and getting out of position more than usual, like he’s worried about getting burned so he overcommits. He seems to be giving larger cushions too. Might explain his lack of ups during contested throws the past couple weeks too. Maybe all his time at the goalie academy is wearing on his ankles???
  3. There are too many moving parts in the sport and too many rules to the game. You can’t change the number of parts (actually you could make it 10 v 10 or 9 v 9), so eliminate more rules. Start with the ones, like PI, where the punishment doesn’t fit the crime. They treat every PI as if it would result in a TD, like a penalty shot in hockey. Just give em 15 yards and make them earn it. If you don’t want to elimate rules, get rid of a ref or two so the chances of catching a penalty in action decreases, resulting in fewer penalties. Addition by subtraction. Removing replay, as mentioned before, would help too. Refs are fallible, so it’s engineered into the game, like strikes/balls in baseball.
  4. If true, it’s an excellent strategy. Being comfortable in those situations make the rest of the game easier to execute mentally. Hell, teams should only practice end-of-game situations the entire practice!
  5. I don’t care that they lost this game, due to my low expectations. But specifically speaking about McD and not the players; the guy gets out-coached and -schemed quite a bit. It’s a point of concern going forward for me because a trend may be appearing. They could flip the talent level next year and have weapons everywhere, but still lose games due to coaching. For continual success, we need both. The second to last FG drive, where we get to the 30 and basically sit on it to kick the FG (because our HC is so confident in his D), was a page out of Rex’s playbook. Then executed identically.
  6. I don’t care what Vegas says, the Bills team I watched the last two weeks (sans ST) were better than their opponents on that given day. Yet, they took L’s in both cases. That’s worrisome. I’m def not saying this team is talented, don’t get me wrong. But a better, more experienced coach doesn’t allow his team to lose games like these. I hope McD can become that guy. The others in the line didn’t.
  7. The hallmark of every bad team the Bills fielded during the drought (which was all of them) was losing to inferior teams. I know it’s “any given Sunday”, but last two weeks looks like more of the same. They weren’t talentless all those years, but did have bad coaches.
  8. That go-ahead TD last week vs the Jags, on JA’s scramble ... go look at the TEAM celebrate, then look at KB’s reaction. Looked more like an opposing player reaction than a teammates.
  9. Josh Allen is our best QB, RB, and if Daboll can reinvent the forward pass, could be our best WR too.
  10. They didn’t even need a TD. Clay should have been running back to his QB vs sitting there hoping he can reach him. POS lazy play.
  11. Very ananlytical guys choke under the pressure of time. I think he falls under this umbrella. It’s also why he has great and terrible performances, the times he sucks (like today) the entire game plan was planned wrong. He can’t adjust well on the fly to his miscalculation and we have a half of football like this. It sctually gets worse as he’s trying to adjust.
  12. No one could possibly think that. Was there ever a more exciting player in the NFL? Guy could lose yardage twice in a row; then on third down jump over a guy, spin off another, be face-to-face and 3” from a LB and shake him so bad he couldn’t even get a fingernail on him, then take it to the house, hand the ball to the ref and go back to the sideline, quietly.
  13. Only 982 years left in this terrible millennium ... then we can finally be good again.
  14. Where the heLL is Kolby Listenbee? No matter what you thought of Whaley, he appreciated speed at WR and drafted it.
  15. It’d be great to run the table. But statistically under McD, one or two games of the six we should get blown out in. So best case we win four.
  16. Nipples develop in utero before sex is determined. So they potentially serve a purpose.
  17. I’m not sure if it matters, what you describe. But Tre White personifies it best, and happens to be the best player at any position on the Bills roster. We need 21 more just like him.
  18. Did McDole replace Torczan at DE in 63? These are just the types of gems I was looking for, thanks @K-9. FWIW re:McDole — https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2010/5/11/1466953/top-50-all-time-bills-no-29-de-ron It says his 12 interceptions are the most by a DL in NFL history?
  19. Yes, exactly. Richie Incognito wouldn’t be included in the draft links as you mention, just like Ferragamo. Appreciate the link @row_33
  20. Thanks for that link. Kelsay may have been the best Bill Husker draft pick.
