Out of the 16 quarters post-bye week, how many good quarters has this squad put together? 4 (2nd halves of Fins and Jets)?? This is what concerns me most. They’re playing mostly bad football for like a month.

I can’t believe an NFL coordinator with former head coaching experience thinks his game plans are so infallible that you keep running plays that obviously aren’t working. What kind of arrogance underlies this idea? Your fragile ego can’t handle the criticism and your fragile players can’t be allowed to doubt your genius? If this is McD’s doing it explains a lot about the subpar aspects of the process.

He’s a rookie. You say “You wish your players would make better decisions for themselves and their teammates.” And set expectations that have consequences if not met. He’s the head coach not their friend.

People on here said to “let him get his yards he can’t win a game by himself” (~~) because this is the new NFL and you need to throw for 400 yds to win.

This team is not physically tough (apart from QB) and not mentally disciplined. You kinda need to excel at 1 of these to win championships. 2 preferably.

Everything went well for Colts on that drive. This team needs to play flawless to beat them.

He does this all the time on designed series. Let’s see if he can adjust in-game and in the red zone.

If you say so. Running back by committee is not something that works for every offense. Apart from last Sunday I’d say we were bad at it for the most part. Hard to gauge if this is because of new wrinkles or bad Jets D performance. If like to see the backs get a whole series rather than this plug n play style but I get that Daboll’s O likes to scheme.

I’d like to see him get 10-20 touches a game. Maybe he needs consistency to get going. Yes he makes guys miss here and there every game but I don’t see elite escapability. I like his combo of toughness and wiggle in the hole but nothing screams very above avg from what we’ve seen so far. Give him some touches and let’s find out then.

So a 1-legged receiver could never make a catch in the NFL even if he tapped 100x in bounds? Terrible rule.

I think Brieda’s performance shows Devin is just another guy. Motor was touted as a guy who could get a lot of yards after first contact (in college he excelled at this) and at the NFL level he hasn’t shown it. If he could blow through holes with speed or jook a guy out of his jock then this could be forgiven. But he can’t so we shouldn’t.
