They’re not playing on the open Plains in a tornado for gods sake. A punt and FG go high in the air but if you can’t throw in this wind you are not an NFL QB. Josh showed he can.
So this will be a pretty big test for him as HC if true. 2 guys that are being selfish and un-process-like, but that are also indispensable to your team for wins.
Out of the 16 quarters post-bye week, how many good quarters has this squad put together? 4 (2nd halves of Fins and Jets)?? This is what concerns me most. They’re playing mostly bad football for like a month.
I can’t believe an NFL coordinator with former head coaching experience thinks his game plans are so infallible that you keep running plays that obviously aren’t working. What kind of arrogance underlies this idea? Your fragile ego can’t handle the criticism and your fragile players can’t be allowed to doubt your genius? If this is McD’s doing it explains a lot about the subpar aspects of the process.
He’s a rookie. You say “You wish your players would make better decisions for themselves and their teammates.” And set expectations that have consequences if not met. He’s the head coach not their friend.
Of course Brown isn’t vaxxed. Look what he re-tweets. Respecting his decision to be selfish on a team that preaches “process” is oxymoronic.
Sorry if this sounds political, mostly just pointing out coaches’ hypocrisy.
