  1. Sure does look like that. They weren’t tested in the first half and thought they could coast. That cocky play before the half a turning point.
  2. Lotta arm tackling and diving at legs is how we “tackle”. #49 for all his faults actually great at wrapping up.
  3. Cincy D getting gashed on passing a bit but at least they’re tackling. The more I think about it the more I think the Bills lost due to missed/bad tackling more than anything. Continued so many drives for KC.
  4. Bills Coaches caught hell for letting KC score 10 points in last couple minutes but their players are just better than anyone else on the field on D. No coach can affect that.
  5. The only way to hang with the Chiefs is sustaining drives on Offense or your D gets way too gassed and the score gets out of reach. We were fine until the 3rd quarter last week. Bengals are in it now so they’re done if they don’t get a TD this drive.
  6. It’s like 50° today in the KC neck of the woods; which helps their offense. If Bills hosting not sure it would be this easy so far.
  7. Nice drive by Cindy but they had to work hard for it.
  8. Is Daboll capable of running an O like he did here and use Saquon Barkley well? Will Barkley regress or will his O be even more potent with a good RB? I tended to think his O was overly complex and Josh made it work because of his capabilities and smarts. This thing could fall flat quick. Guess we’ll see.
  9. Perhaps. But many reports suggest Dabboll wants to be a package with Dorsey. That’s strange since he’ll be the de facto OC as HC. Must be for QB dev reasons.
  10. If Dorsey’s the guy to elevate Jones, says Daboll, maybe Brian knows that he himself got too much credit for Josh? Makes me think Daboll didn’t actually develop him at all and it was all Dorsey. He knows this and for him to succeed at HC he needs Dors to get the most out of Jones.
  11. I’ve been banging this drum to no avail. McBeane better draft 3 Williams’ or it’s a failed draft IMNSHO.
  12. Yeah Jordan would pretend in his own head that a competitor slighted him in order to manufacturer motivation, sustaining success. Josh just needs a regular injection of doubters and he’ll be fine.
  13. But what if they were baited to think the seam was open only to have Wallace f&ck up and make it so? If executed correctly, that’d be kinda brilliant.
  14. I might be crazy but it seems he is strongly motivated by these failures and by rejection. I think he’ll improve even more (if that’s possible) as a result. This is why I roll my eyes at the fans who constantly complain JA isn’t getting respect, pro bowls, mvp’s, etc. Good! This is what motivates him!!! He will dust the competition in a year or 2.
  15. I’m going to amplify this in a vain attempt to get y’all to put down the tar and feathers and point them in the right direction. I have no idea if this is true, but it’s the most parsimonious answer and thus most sensible. When you consider the coaches took 2 time outs to see KC formations and had ample time to scheme—which makes more sense—the coaches being completely inept twice, or one player screwing up royally once?
  16. I’m all for more Williams’. We have no Williams depth essentially. Huge strike against Beane IMO. Mahomes and Rodgers have no charisma. Manning did, and was funny, and somehow even Baker Mayfield does.
  17. Visibly those 2, 3 and outs then fast TD strike in the 3rd, you can see took a toll on them though. They went from making KC earn it to just chunk play after chunk and that never let up essentially, apart from KC’s dumb 3rd down call after the punt return where they took their foot off the gas. Offense just possesses longer for 2 possessions (1 was basically at mid field and we ran it 3x), and the D may have held up.
  18. I’m semi-serious when I say this but at what point does Jordan Palmer just say “Dude I took you as far as I can take you. You’re on another level and can do things I can’t explain let alone teach.” If Allen’s limit is Allen, then he’s going to have to invent new QBing himself cause he’s in uncharted waters. He may revolutionize the position when it’s all said and done.
  19. I don’t know, either. Next time you can’t expect the D to play that bad, but also can’t expect the O to play so great. It’s a very hard game to gauge what to do next imo. Personnel-wise there may be no one that needs changing apart from a couple old guys or FAs. A better scheme on D with same guys coulda won it. More aggression in 3rd quarter by the O and maybe we don’t gas the D like that. So execution could be improved to.
  20. do we have a leader on D that does this for that unit? Or do they all just sit on the bench knowing this guy will always bail them out? https://twitter.com/sportygman10/status/1485600516004618245?s=21
  21. We’re lacking an elite player and emotional leader/captain—Josh’s equivalent on D. The current captain of the D is neither.
