  1. I should shut the f up. Every time I say how good the 9ers look they screw up.
  2. Eagles have the ball for like 5 minutes and not past mid field despite 2 big penalties.
  3. This is enlightening. Avg the 3rd best guy on each of the other teams gets you just under 700 yards (and Deebo only played 13 games so avg likely 725+). See Gabe’s 836 but recall 98 came on 1 play. He may avg 750 going forward with 0 improvement. This is strong evidence he’s a solid #3 receiver despite being targeted as much as a 2. I realize the 98 yarder happened so I shouldn’t omit, but it’s also a rare play so not likely to happen every year to boost his stats—an outlier.
  4. They have a small window when everyone is mad and 💩 posting to throw all their terrible ideas out there and hope someone is also crazy enough to hit 👍🏼.
  5. Mentally soft Rodgers playing in the city with the most brutal media scrutiny?
  6. This is the bargaining stage of grief. @Charles Romesbeat me to it.
  7. Yeah an a** whooping by the Bengals week 17 needed to happen in the same way the Bucs game woke them up last year. They got complacent playing just well enough to win games that when true resistance came, they folded like laundry. Trying to have work/life balance in the middle of the playoffs when if you lose you don’t have to work for months. Failure of priorities right there.
  8. It sounds exactly (opposite) of what Ralph did during the drought years. Have a bunch of mediocre to terrible talent then sign a big name (M Williams, TO) to put a**es in the seats. Josh is the guy that gets a**es in the seats and so they’ll sign a bunch of mids to keep us fools from rioting.
  9. This is evidence that he doesn’t actually know what he’s doing. His and McD’s vision for the team and sustainable winning was just spit back in their faces. Now they are scrambling for answers and don’t have any.
  10. He HAS to because he’s the idiot that took him from a small school even though he was unprepared to fill a glaring hole in the OL. How about draft an already good lineman from a real football school rather than playing a work-in-progress? You make every other work-in-progress sit and learn. This is pure deflection.
  11. I’m regularly astounded at the average Bills fans contentment/satisfaction with “just being relevant.”
  12. Week 6 at Chiefs. They won that game and exorcised their demon, then played uninspired the rest of the way. My worry is McD looks at that tape and says the D failed us and we need to use the draft on that. Maybe he sees OL too but I worry that he has “faith” in the existing offensive playmakers.
  13. The guy is still a terrible clock and time out manager, as well as red flag “challenger”. He showed glimpses of being able to change personnel in-season early in his tenure. But frankly, not much has changed. He hasn’t. He actually likely takes pride in being a steadfast rock of consistency (like Tonkin). He will go down taking his moral high road and sticking to his guns. The timing of McD’s arrival immediately post-drought gives people the impression that he single-handedly saved the damn franchise. The first playoff year was a fluke! Every time after they had Josh Allen.
  14. This team peaked the first 6 weeks of the season. After they beat the Chiefs, it was like they thought their jobs were finished. Then after the bye, they were unmotivated and unprepared every game thereafter (despite winning a lot toward the end). They were in cruise control with no identity. It would have been exposed had Damar not gone down that night. That a** whooping maybe would have lit a fire. But instead, their laze festered, until the inevitable happened Sunday.
  15. I may be advocating for firing McD due to giving Josh a consistent voice/presence in the offensive Dept that will be lacking if OC after OC get hired away. Like Florio said. Every 2-3 years there will need to be adjustments made. Brady, Brees, Mahomes, now Burrow all had/have that consistency (Belichek had same OCs mostly no turnover). The idea of an Offensive Czar was thrown out there years ago right? Do that, if you value McD’s leadership. But you have to enable Josh ASAP as he won’t be in peak form forever.
  16. Dude look at Elam. Round 1 pick from SEC school and “has to earn it”, while Cincy put a 2nd round Cam Taylor Britt starting the whole year and this rookie from crappy Nebraska (I live here) shut down Big Game Gabe Davis. This frustrates me to no end.
  17. This is why an offensive HC can better wrangle a motley crew like this to get it to function better. McD has no idea how to initiate that. But you’re right, you can’t put 3 geniuses in a room and expect them to invent something remarkable. You need a project manager to wrangle them so their ideas flow toward a common and achievable goal.
  18. Apologize if this was posted before: https://twitter.com/michaelfflorio/status/1617562321391620098?s=46&t=IlCHj31sbdfmj2MzT7PhGw in the video the idea I like best is what Florio said about getting an offensive HC. The benefit of him, the OC, the QB coach and QB being incubators for creativity. Right now we have Dorsey and Josh, 2 inexperienced gunslingers making this choices. They could use some balanced input. McDermott can’t provide that.
  19. Right. I’m advocating getting some di**heads in here who are mean SOBs. If McDs culture can’t withstand that, it wasn’t worth having in the first place.
  20. Everyone plays their rookies except McD. Then Beane will sign a geezer off the street to take a rookies spot to “learn under”. Babying these players for 3 years to earn trust in them forces you to drag their assessment out, when all you had to do was put them in games and assess their development from the beginning.
  21. If your system can be poisoned by 1-2 guys, how do you expect to win with such fragility?
