I commented to my wife the narrative that Josh Allen can’t survive a decade in the league playing the way he does—Lamar gets hurt and is out multiple games every year. Josh only missed games his rookie year. Lamar won’t last 4 more years.

And won’t be able to pay them all next year.

Lamar Jack is weird. He can’t do 3/4 of what a QB does but the 1/4 he can do is very productive.

Whatever happens in the next several weeks on the O side of the ball is 95% up to Josh Allen. Either the firing of his buddy motivates him or it infuriates him and he goes rogue. There could be a middling middle ground I guess but doesn’t seem as likely.

We’re not asking to know their cholesterol levels or BMI. A guy gets concussed, which is PII, and it’s open info.

Only info that is allowed to be shared is. We end up in the dark all the time. Does anyone actually know what Milano’s and DqJ’s injury situation is? The WGR guys seem content not to know. Crazy.

The broader problem is there are no impartial or at least detached/counterpoint media in this town really. The expansive reach of the Bills and Sabres allows the teams to implant homers all over the place and tough questions can’t be asked or answered. If they do ask such questions there is no accountability (see S McDermott) because no media will hold that person’s feet to the fire. Some of the Rochester and Syracuse media are better at their craft because they’re outside of the Pegula Bubble.

Certainly no one left to blame if the ship isn’t righted. But I worry he can argue 1 more year since no DC and fired OC half way through. “I’ll staff those positions well, gimme 1 more year Terry.”

This is it. A player or 2 can have a bad game or 2 but the team as a whole for 5 weeks have had bad games. That’s coaching top to bottom. There have been the 1-2 good players per game on each side of the ball during this too. But they vary.

The parallels to the SD Chargers with Phil Rivers I think are glaring now. Middling team with avg talent and bad coaches but super talented QB who was content to not work and get by on talent alone. Just cruising. In SD with that fanbase maybe it was acceptable but not here.

Agreed. Josh isn’t a coach on the field type player like Manning and Brady. He’s instinctive not analytical. It could be he just is better at taking direction than giving it. Why Daboll was a better personality for him vs Ken. This doesn’t mean Ken sucks, it means Ken & Josh just don’t jive.

Another little-discussed indicator McD is a crap coach is that he cannot retain, hire, or develop top Asst Coaches. The best coaches have “trees”. This guy has weeds.

Stupidity is a hallmark of this team frankly.

This another data point indicating 13 sec was not a fluke but a result of bad coaching. The coaches failure to own up to it demonstrates they excel only at scapegoating. But, it’s better this happened as another week of false hope just kicks the can.

It’s probably better this happened now rather than another week of false hope had they won.
