  1. Williams yesterday and v Giants. But that’s McD doing that. I don’t think he understands O enough to bench a guy unless they fumble. Pee Wee football type crap.
  2. Blocking is the most teachable skill for a WR. Route running and catching, not so much.
  3. Yeah but there was a stint mid-season where this happened for sure. It was like magic the O took off for a bit.
  4. Remember when Greg Roman was OC and had a bad couple games so then came down from the booth (or went up I forget) to call plays and they started tearing it up again? Try that Dors.
  5. This doesn’t breed confidence saying the same things over and over. Makes me think he doesn’t have actual answers and is just buying time. Hoping.
  6. I think I’m agreeing with you but maybe not on the specific point
  7. Of course he can’t but he still has a (major share of) responsibility. The team is a reflection of their coach(es). I heard the Poyer/Hyde postgame and they both parroted McD talking points. To say he’s responsible for only the half of the team he knows best will always shield him from honest criticism.
  8. Opposing coaches know Cook isn’t going to win the Bills games so they give that sh*t up no problem. It’s bait that our dumb coaches take, keeping productive snaps out of the hands of the guy who can single handedly win games and that coaches fear. The run game is a mirage. Our coaches think it’s some saving Grace when it’s actually our Achilles heel. The key to stopping him is giving his snaps to RBs. Dudes team production is down like 8% this year. Guess where that production went?
  9. The whole trying to get more balance by getting a running game going has worked but it also inexplicably monkey-wrenched the passing game.
  10. That run by Cook where he was stopped then kept running and broke it, Dawkins and Morse were standing there downfield blocking no one looking surprised he broke it off. Literally watching their teammate working. He’d have scored if they went down and blocked through the whistle. I was fuming at that.
  11. Why not? If this were a business and a manager’s team was constantly not executing their jobs, the manager would be responsible at least partially. He’s not putting his team in a position to win. A couple better executions we win this game, sure. But the problem is we should have blown the doors off this sorry team not squeaked by. He is responsible for that lack of preparation at all levels.
  12. The team is the one they fielded against the Jets. The Dolphins version was the anomaly.
  13. Guys from Liberty making plays for Mac Jones. I mean sh*t.
  14. This isn’t about talent or schemes or coordinators, the team just does not execute on either side of the ball. Penalties lazy tackling and blocking. That’s not getting enough out of your players, I.e. coaching.
  15. This team should be 3-4 so hopefully this lights some fire
