  7. Correct. Born Jonathan Daniel Charasuchin in New York City in 1914. His Wikipedia article is very interesting. The phrase "oh, the pain!" apparently began with his character Mr. Phillips on 'The Bill Dana Show', which was before 'Lost in Space'. Many of Dr. Smith's mannerisms were also originated in the Phillips character.
