My father was known as 'Bumpa' to all four of his grandchildren. My three grandchildren who live close by have carried on that name for me, but my three grandchildren who live about 6 hours away deem me 'Grandpa'. Agreed. Back in the seventies, my first job was at a gas station. I took what I thought was a counterfeit $10 bill. Called the local police precinct, and the officers that came by said it was just an old bill. They also said it was rare in that era to find any counterfeit bill less than $20. Apparently it cost over $10 to produce a passable counterfeit. I have no idea if high resolution printers of later years enabled cheaper counterfeit bills to be produced.
