Blind picks and fortunately, the first 5 of the next 6 have the Bills with close totals. And 6 of 7 have Green Bay, with similar total. 1st. Yeah. 2021 At the 14-1 mark of the Season.

Having attended multiple Playoff games, 2 AFC Championships & 2 SBs, I completely agree with this post. It seems to me, coming into the Season, that the Bills’ goal was to make the Playoffs and appear, reasonably competent. As you recall, on the way during the first quarter of the Season. Then? Outgunned by the Playoff Chiefs and trashed by the Playoff Texans! Ruh Ro! Then, two more life and death Ws over stiffs. But followed by a trashing of the 6-1 Seahawks and a toe to toe, stolen Away victory in Arizona. That started on November 8. Then, 3 more convincing wins against decent teams, which is the second higher goal! Followed by... a month of outright ass kickings to teach the: ‘Search and Destroy’ highest SB level! Again, how did this transpire in less than half a Season. It seemed to me, the Glory Years were on a slower, building trajectory, with dips ! This time, it is so fast, that I simply want them to roll through Tampa and then finally wake up! JUST WIN IT, BEFORE YOU COME TO THE REALIZATION! It only happens one time.

People here have already mentioned the 12-4 Bungles #1 beating the 12-4 Bills #2 in 1988, in the Cinci cold. I attended the previous Round game, when they beat Houston on a nice day at Rich in January. In 1989, it was the Ronnie Freaking Harmon Loss to Cleveland there and the Bills regressed to 9-7. In 1990, the Bills unveiled the K Gun forever! They were easily the best team in the AFC @13-3. They thumped Marino and the Dolphins in the snow at Rich and then just embarrassed the #2 Raiders 51-3 the following week. I saw the Fish game. Saw them lose to the #2 Giants in Tampa. In 1991, the Bills were again the best in the AFC @ 13-3. They knocked Montana out during the crushing win at Rich and then I watched them beat the #2 Broncos on a warm, sunny day in the Championship. Carleton Bailey, just like Taron, broke up a 0-0 3rd. Q defensive struggle with an 11 yard Int TD! in 1992, the Bills were only a WC #4 Seed. They beat the Oilers in the Greatest Comeback Ever 41-38! Yes, I was at that one. They knocked off the #1 Steelers in Pittsburgh & #2 Dolphins in Miami. And indeed, I saw them crushed in Pasadena. in 1993, they were 12-4 & #1 again. I damn near died watching them out score the Raiders in -30 temps. And that was the beginning of the end! So, it did happen, more than once. And should they beat KC, as I expect, you simply cannot believe the adrenaline rush for the next two weeks. Everything stops and is subsumed by the game, even more so in these strange times!

Prelim: I sucked during the Regular Season, with a slight winning % picking ALL games in a Pool. I bet some too, of course. However Playoffs? I am 8-2 ATS in a Pool and again, I bet as well. This pool is very difficult because you get +15 for picking the correct team ATS AND -1 fir every point, you’re off the total score. I am up 27 points on my nearest competitor, so almost 2 games, with just 3 to go. 1st. Prize is $1750. SPOILER ALERT: I am 100% taking the Bills +3 & the Pack -4. Looong ago I bet the Bills to win the SB and have a Parlay this weekend- as above. gL2A & GO BILLS!

Soooo... come next Monday, when we’re On to Tampa, I hope McD has delegated to a staffer to prepare a Super Bowl Prep Manual (which obviously has a heavy anti Covid Chapter) for the next 2 weeks. To be handed out, after the AFC Championship locker celebration. By and large, this is a team with young leaders. Young leaders, who have NO idea, what’s about to hit them! They are about to be the toast of at least 1/2 the NFL, with anybody and everybody desiring access. On top of it, EVERY attempt will be made to compare and contrast the Glory Years with this group. There will be constant interviews with Jim, Thurman, Bruce, Darryl, Marv, etc. Etc. Being in the moment will be the biggest challenge.
