  1. Praying for you all!
  2. I feel like I recall a few to TEs but yeah especially with Cook. I think what they do with him instead is just that delayed fake block the middle curl route thing, but it is not a screen.
  3. I share the love for Shakir and also echo the sentiment from others that we still need to add (read: draft) a guy who is now a WR2 at least with the expectation that he can develop into a WR1. Also, although this contradicts what I said above, I kind of want to ditch “WR1”, “WR2”, etc., terminology. We just need reliable, consistent weapons whose skills complement each other.
  4. Great? Maybe not, but I wonder how Hughes would have mixed in with the defenses since he left.
  5. First let me say I think a thorough OC search needs to be conducted and Brady is by no means a lock. However, you did not address the 3-4 major drops in the KC playoff game. Cook, Sherfield (x2), and Diggs. If 1-2 of those are caught, then we very possibly win and I think the narrative today would be more “hope we don’t lose Brady!” You also did not address that we went 7-2 with Brady and easily could have won both our losses. The major uptick for me was how much better the running attack became with Brady. Maybe I am biased because I attended the Cowboys game, but seeing us pound a playoff team (paper tiger or not) into submission by just running it down their throats was a welcome new dimension under Brady this season. I think the OL, Cook, and Shakir really took a step forward, and Allen looked more himself, after Brady took the reins. One more point: Haven’t many of us been pounding the table for more screens for what seems like since Gailey left? I know I have been. Not going to complain too much about plays that get the ball in Diggs hands. Edit: I think your best point is about our low scoring second halves. That is concerning as I want an OC who adapts scheme to opponent during prep and in-game.
  6. Tough to fault Brady when there were 3-4 huge drops and both Diggs and Shakir were open on the missed TD play. Also tough to argue against the turnaround after he was made OC.
  7. Our new 7-9 😂…🫠…😐 If we make the AFCCG, then I would bet he stays.
  8. The bolded, but also your entire post, is the strongest I’ve seen the argument presented. Kudos. Not saying I think JA17 necessarily made the wrong call because I can’t really fault our QB for making a throw he thinks will put us up 4 near the end of a playoff game, but I do think if both options are there then what you described is the sounder strategy.
  9. He needs guys brought in similar to what they did for Lamar last offseason.
  10. 1. Mahomes 2. Allen 3. Jackson 4. Burrow 5. Stafford 6. Hurts 7. Herbert 8. Goff 9. Purdy 10. Stroud Honorable Mentions: Baker, Dak, Tua, Trevor
  11. Going to keep beating this drum: Part of why our home field advantage is not as advantageous as it should be is Bills fans do not make noise until our opponent breaks the huddle. I am screaming my head off the entire time they are in the huddle through the snap (y’know, when the opponent is actually communicating), and literally have to turn around and tell people to get loud throughout the entire game. Our stadium gets loud, but does it too late. Sure, we fans might cause 1-2 false starts per home game, but I think starting to make noise so late leaves on the table at least another 1-2 delay of games or needless timeouts taken by our opponent.
  12. Made it through McDermott’s, nothing much to take from it. Listening to Beane, maybe he is still got in-season mode on, but when asked about the TE room going forward he answered by stating Kincaid and Knox give Brady a lot of options/versatility. Point being, I think Brady may already be a lock for OC.
  13. Would love Samuel. But if he even sniffs his Spotrac projected market value of $11.5M/year, then I am not super hopeful.
  14. I’m not McDermott’s biggest fan either, but we were 1-2 plays from the AFCCG.
  15. Can we get a second round pick? Unlikely. (Although Beane got R3P1 for Tyrod…) Am opposed to shopping him? Of course not.
  16. With JA17 heading into next season at age 28, I say eat some of those vet contracts this year so he can have a rebuilt core into his early 30s. We have 9 picks, can free up plenty of space, and are already set at QB, RB, TE, OL (we’ll see what happens with Morse), LB, and CB. Turn it over at WR, some DL, S, and ST.
  17. Not disagreeing, but I just want to point out that McDermott got a lot of flak for the whole “scoring too fast” thing throughout the season.
  18. Allen & Kincaid, for sure Maaaybe Cook, maaaybe Milano but I think my #3 might actually be Taron
  19. I’m not sure, but I bet somehow Mark Andrews scores 2 TDs on us
  20. Can I blame Bass for missing the FG at least?
  21. All too familiar of a feeling. Unfortunately many of us are used to it.
  22. ^ for some reason they cater to the lower bowl seats
  23. Y’know, I was on the fence about this Josh Allen guy, but I think he might just be Right Josh.
  24. WGR brought this up earlier and I agree. Bills Mafia is great, and with that said, I wish they would channel their ability to make noise earlier on - i.e., when the opponent is actually communicating with itself. We get super loud when they are at the line - and that’s great because false starts help - but so do delay of game penalties and missed protection due to restricted communications. Get loud at kickoff and don’t stop making noise for any second during which the Chiefs have the ball!
