  1. CAR will likely be a loss, but their offense and Newton specifically looked rusty. Never know. DEN will be tough, but at home and they don't have much in the way of a QB. Good scouting for tonight. ATL looked anything but unbeatable versus CHI, so again we could pull it off. NFC South familiarity for McDermott. CIN looks very beatable. Shut out by so-so BAL team at home. 2-2 is not out of the question and is a realistic outcome for the next 4.
  2. Watch us beat the Panthers and Falcons, but lose to the Broncos and Bengals.
  3. "What is today, but yesterday's tomorrow?" - Mr. Krabs
  4. Is this challenge-able?
  5. My guess: Jets a mess. Big day for Shady, Clay, Zay Bigger still? Sean's D.
  6. I second that and say it goes to O'Leary.
  7. Jordan Matthews (chest) is practicing in full for Week 1. This puts J-Matt on track to suit up Sunday against the Jets. Matthews has an excellent chance to lead the Bills in targets this year, though we'd expect Buffalo to use a run-heavy scheme featuring workhorse LeSean McCoy. Sep 6 - 4:10 PM http://www.rotoworld.com/recent/nfl/9420/jordan-matthews Edit: Available for the regular season. Like he has been 96% of the time over 3 years.
  8. I personally subscribe to the theory that they just kept him to the pocket so he could work on that during the preseason and plan to move him around much more during the regular season. But yeah, I don't think his height is ideal for passing from the pocket. Taylor at 6'3" would be better for sure, but I don't think his current height completely prevents him from effective pocket passing.
  9. Just re: Taylor's running and associated injuries, I have noticed him be very aware of his surroundings when he scrambles. His head is usually on a swivel and he has the quickness to make a cut out of bounds or go down before significant contact. That's what I've seen most of the time. Really hope Dennison gets him on the move early and often this season.
  10. Watkins has played in 77% of his games. Matthews has played in 96% of his games.
  11. Still should have tendered him higher.
  12. How well he fares could... could have just a bit to do with how well our offensive line plays. Enter Karlos. Enter TD Mike. Enter Rattlesnake Joe. It's all gravy.
  13. Most of them suck. Honestly, cannot think of one who I really like more than dislike. I do, seemingly unlike most, really like and enjoy the WGR shows. I know they get a bad rap, but try effectively having your job be a baby of the movie Groundhog Day and the Buffalo Bills. The fact that they aren't committed to an institution by now is impressive alone. I think they're generally pretty funny and have a fair, balanced view.
  14. ^ McDermott looks like his head enveloped an old leather football helmet and grew skin over it.
  15. Which is why a great part of getting Jordan Matthews is that he has missed 2 games in that time span.
  16. I'm definitely rooting for Ragland to perform poorly if it means a better draft pick for the Bills from the Chiefs. Nothing personal, just a Bills fan.
  17. So long as it's not in anticipation of Kyle Williams' retirement.
  18. ^ Plus, re: Hyde and special teams, one would think with the amount of back-up players we are supposedly keeping on the roster for their special teams ability that we would not need to have starters on offense or defense also playing special teams.
  19. "I don't believe Bennett or the police, but I'm not ruling out what either says. I haven't seen a statement from the LVPD. I give Bennett and the police the same benefit of the doubt - I entertain what they claim and then compare it against the facts that come to light. The only evidence so far I am aware of is the video. Let's wait until some more comes forward." That was my post before you accused me of giving Bennett the benefit of the doubt, but not the police. Reading helps. Not yet. Going to when I get home. Going off what I have read so far and will add the video to my opinion as soon as I can watch it.
  20. Just "Stay down!" would work. I want to clarify that, of course, everyone should be compliant if there is an active shooter. It's about how compliant people are treated and whether all the treatment is necessary in effectively handling the situation.
  21. Wonderful, substantive, insightful input. Thanks.
