  1. Tough to say always given the extremely productive rookie WRs who have come out the past few years.
  2. ^yolo Agreed that it is tough to find team-first guys in the current CFB culture. I'm glad we're adding more of the breathe-eat-sleep types. Put your head down, get your job done, and have the next guy's back.
  3. Grew up listening to the Hip. They are, if not my favorite, then easily a top 3 all-time band. Gord is my favorite front-man, and I don't think that will ever change. He put on these amazing shows that were pretty much the product of sheer effort. This was obvious because the guy would be sweating head-to-toe about halfway through the first song. Saw him do a sit-down acoustic song/spoken poetry set at the Adam's Mark for an environmental conference, and he was the same guy, just his effort was evident in the emotion of his voice, rather than being drenched in sweat. He clearly cared for the marginalized. I get the crowd of the "why are you upset over a musician you never met?" mindset, but at the same time, this guy definitely had a huge impact on my life through his music and approach to art.
  4. It seems to be an inexact science - whether character guys will truly lead to a better winning culture - but you really gotta love the way White approaches the game.
  5. I remember going to a game and seeing a Vick-led Falcons team versus what was at the time I think a good Bills defense. What left an impression with me with Vick was not his legs, but (1) how much bigger he looked in the pocket than I expected and (2) that he climbed the pocket and threw the ball with authority, zip, and accuracy. I get that his throwing stats are pretty similar to Taylor's, but I think Vick was an underrated pocket passer.
  6. Groy is still alive, yes? I know back-up C is hugely important, but...
  7. I'd be happy with losing the next 3 games and then winning out.
  8. Perfect plan - how do you cover someone who is invisible?
  9. Believe he was under the impression that the role was for an entirely different movie (maybe one involving that president?) when he accepted it. Gotta love a picture of one of my favorite people of all time wearing a Bills hat.
  10. W: TB L: OAK W: @NYJ W: NO W: @LAC L: @KC L: NE W: IND W: MIA L: @NE W: @MIA Win the last game, on the road, against a division opponent, to improve to 10-6 and snatch that playoff berth.
  11. Duuuuuuuuude, stats and facts? That's all you can back up that point with? What about the eye test?
  12. Does anyone know why Ronnie Hillman is still at home?
  13. If we're doing this, then I'd rather we just blow up the phones belonging to DeAngelo Williams, who was in CAR with McDermott, or Ronnie Hillman, who played for Dennison in DEN, *EDIT* and also was the odd man out in a DAL backfield that has McFadden as a healthy scratch.
  14. He strikes me as a Mark Campbell type. And to me that's a compliment because that guy was solid and hung onto the ball no matter how hard the hit.
  15. What's promising is that both our losses came down to the end. We've been in all our games. I expect us to be in all of our next 5 games, too.
  16. Agree with those who think O'Leary is not that far of a step down from Clay. He's shown good hands and has really developed in his time here. Plus, says something when this coaching staff has confidence in a guy from before their regime.
  17. Seems to me like O'Leary has developed enough to warrant some more playing time and targets.
  18. Haha the zealous defense of him makes more sense now...
  19. Take it up with WYRK. http://wyrk.com/sammy-watkins-calls-fans-losers-little-jobs-picture/ How are you related to Watkins again?
  20. I think the distinction to be made with Sam-me Wantkins is between (1) wanting the ball, which of course I want my WR1 to do, and (2) voicing that want of the ball in a way that adversely impacts the locker room. I do think the little "little jobs" tweet is pretty emblematic of his attitude problem. Had to look it up, and forgot that a reason people were upset, among others, was that he was too injured to play but then healthy enough to vacation to Disney the same week.
  21. Okay, assuming I now have become Watkins, then I would hope I would be a team player after already having earned millions of dollars. I'm admittedly biased because I, as a diehard Bills fan, would do more for the organization than would the actual Watkins. I do think you're missing an option where the talented WR buys into team play and makes a lot more money because his team actually wins... maybe even more than 8 games. I said McCoy deserves more targets than does Watkins. The only person who said "Watkins doesn't deserve targets" at all was you. But for the fun of it: McCoy logged 314 and 312 attempts in 2013 and 2014, respectively, with Philly, but then 203 and 234 attempts in 2015 and 2016, respectively, with Buffalo. BTW he's on pace for 272 attempts this year (less than those two Philly years), but, as I posted, has been complimented by the coach in the media for his team-first attitude.
  22. If that game plan is the way to win, then the type of competitor who prioritizes winning above all else.
  23. Buy: Clay because he has shown his consistency and is now our #1 passing game target. Hold: Matthews and Humber because both are injured for about a month, but I believe both will continue to be productive players who do their job upon return. Sell: Wright because he was limited during the week, may very well have to be our CB2, and gives up a lot of size to LaFell.
