  1. Not necessarily. We could hire an OC who is not being considered as a HC this offseason, comes in and has a phenomenal year, and is hired away regardless. Similarly, DeFilippo could come in, have a middling year, and then not be sought after as a HC. None of us have crystal balls.
  2. You think anyone who posts an article adopts its contents as his or her opinion? That's as ridiculous as the Marrone coaching tree theory.
  3. You could hire a different OC and have him succeed and get hired regardless.
  4. Yeah, I can't disagree. I guess I didn't say 3rd rounder because I have a hunch they will be trading up and would have less picks total.
  5. I do want OBD to consider taking a HB in rounds 4 and later. I think it is a deep HB class and someone to take pressure off Shady will be available. I'm biased as an Irish fan, but Josh Adam is a good example of a guy who should probably go higher than he will, and might be had in round 4.
  6. Do you have a site that you prefer to rely on?
  7. Yeah, I'm certainly not saying they should be taken as the end-all-be-all, but I do know a lot of people consider PFF to be at least somewhat credible/useful. I do not think Taylor is a better QB than Cousins, but I also do not think the gap is as wide as it is made out to be.
  8. No problem with having an OC who has enough success to be looked at as a HC for 1-2 years. Success is good.
  9. Not saying this reflects my opinion, but reading this thread made me think to go to PFF and see their 2017 rankings: 7. Smith: 85.9 12. Taylor: 84.1 20. Cousins: 78.9
  10. I would like this, but without trying to look like we're from the future/arena football.
  11. On boy, oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! I feel so good I could spit in Potter's eye! I think I will, I think I will!
  12. Even if no new TE, he might be able to get more out of Clay and O'Leary. I do wish the new OC is a "play to their strengths" kind of guy. That's what makes Belichick such a good coach.
  13. Re: Chudzinski's blocking scheme "From a run game standpoint, the Colts are expected to install some zone blocking along with their gap schemes for Frank Gore and the other backs." (http://www.colts.com/news/article-1/What-To-Expect-From-Rob-Chudzinski’s-Offense/8f2e82f5-20a7-45a5-8c3f-9a31b9fdb0c0)
  14. No hard info, but my guess would be Dennison/Castillo
  15. "Woot any more." - Nobody
  16. I am not suggesting this, but Buffalo News' list of potential OC candidates included: Ben McAdoo I'd rather have Dennison.
  17. What time and where for the parade? Seriously though, despite my BBFS, it is tough not to trust the process.
  18. Tell me downtown in which city and I'll be impressed.
  19. My insider told me that the Bills are planning on going the Tyrod Taylor route with Dennison: fire him, wait for no other team to hire him, and then hire him back at a lower price.
  20. Not pounding the table for Chudzinski, but per his Wiki page: In 2007, Chudzinski was named the offensive coordinator of the Cleveland Browns. That year the Cleveland Browns ranked eighth overall on offense, sent 4 offensive players to the Pro Bowl, and finished second in the AFC North with a record of 10–6, their most wins since 1994. In 2011, Chudzinski was named the Carolina Panthers offensive coordinator. He took one of the league's worst offenses in 2010 and transformed it into one of the top 10 offenses in 2011 with rookie quarterback Cam Newton. The Panthers finished seventh overall in the league on offense, fifth in points scored, and set a new franchise record for total yards in a season. Granted, those are not exactly recent, but he has success turning offenses around with Derek Anderson and rookie Cam Newton. We'll likely have a Derek Anderson type bridge QB (hopefully better) and a rookie.
  21. Kind of feel like they'll work to retain Matthews after trading for him. If Bevell is the OC, then Richardson might follow him. Chudzinski would be familiar with Moncrief, who would be a speed guy (4.3 forty time).
  22. I see. I would think if he knows he's wanted around the league, then he'll wait it out and get the money.
  23. I like DeFilippo as a candidate because of his success with Wentz, but outside of college he only was an OC in 2015 for the Browns.
