  1. And you do have an idea of how medicine is practiced? I would think the pathophysiology, which according to Google is "the disordered physiological processes associated with disease or injury", should probably be understood in order to make a diagnosis of that disease or injury being cause of death. Show me even one double blinded study that proves cannabis as a cause of death. Please do. You would be making medical history.
  2. Re: Henderson, I won't weep either way. Re: drugs, there should not even be a marijuana vs. opioid "debate". Opioid use as directed is not safe. It has created many, many addicts. I've reviewed thousands of medical records at work -- the amount of people who get prescribed a coctail of pills for pain and end up completely reliant is bonkers. Just from some of the posted marijuana articles: - I'm not even going to give any credence to the one that says the guy mutilated himself because of marijuana use. - "The pathophysiological basis of these events is not fully understood..." - "After exclusion of other causes of death we assume that the young men experienced fatal cardiovascular complications evoked by smoking cannabis." - "Cannabis was mentioned once only on a death certificate, but not as a cause of death. . . . A positive urine cannabinoids immunoassay alone is insufficient evidence in the linkage of acute cardiac death and cannabis." I mean, c'mon. Elevated blood pressure? Maybe with the lethality of a cup of coffee, but no more.
  3. Touché. I must have been wrong saying they had 5, too, because they were awarded 3 compensatory picks, so they must have had 4 before that. Too bad they don't have a 6th round pick, because I think that would be the likeliest. Maybe we can squeeze #152 overall out of them for Taylor at $10 million.
  4. Anyone have any info as to whether or not Ivory does have gas left in the tank? I have also liked him as a HB for a while. Runs hard. Would be good change-of-pace to McCoy (and hopefully Cadet).
  5. Must have really liked the decision to get rid of Ivory. I mean, the timing on this is telling.
  6. Do you pay for the upgrade to be able to trade? Assuming this is Fanspeak.
  7. I'd be fine with McCown as a high end QB2 or to compete with a rookie for the starting job. Rather have Fitzpatrick as a mentor/QB2 though. (Yes, I know, the curse, the curse. Whatever.)
  8. I agree with those who say Arizona, but also think they might be hesitant to part with one of their only 5 draft picks this year.
  9. Have we come to an agreement as to whether or not Taylor is a good QB yet? It feels like we're so close.
  10. Yeah, I thought Lotulelei was a lock as an offseason target, but I've seen other articles indicating the same negative feelings towards his play. Maybe that means we can get him on a cheaper prove-it type deal and have him battle it out with a rookie? Williams/Lotulelei/Nnadi in the 2nd?
  11. Hey you know what they say about quarterbacks: "One man's garbage is another man person's good ungarbage"
  12. I've heard that said on these board before about Fitz being a curse. My response has been that, hey, we're living in a post-drought world, so all bets are off concerning curses! I would like McCown as a QB2, too, but I'm not sure he would want that role. He could very well go somewhere that ensures him at least the opportunity to battle for QB1. Curse aside, I think Fitz would be at least a top 10 back-up QB in the league, if not top 5.
  13. Exactly. Familiarity with people in the industry has to be more of a help than a hindrance.
  14. This is the exact pairing that I want. McCown would be affordable and is a good bridge guy with no appeal to be kept long-term. In the alternative, if OBD seems to want to start Mayfield (or whichever rookie they draft) from day one, then I'd suggest this guy named Fitzpatrick as the QB2.
  15. Depends on which school you're going to.
  16. Nice to have another GM who Beane has a history with in case we're trying to make any deals.
  17. Top 10 picks of the draft? (as opposed to top 10 QB prospects) If so, then Lamar Jackson has to be up there. Rudolph. I also like Falk and think he has a lot of nice tools to work with.
  18. Injuries are far more of a concern than is character for Rosen, imho.
  19. I think Mayfield is the best QB in the class, and he's who I want us to draft, so I picked him.
  20. I am in agreement with Mayfield. Think the kid is special. He's got the talent, production, leadership, and drive.
