  1. I know it won't happen, but I imagined this: "I'd like to introduce you to our new friend, Michael. . . . Mr. Crabtree, come on up here. Have a seat."
  2. Definitely bring Thompson back. Would not be upset with Matthews back on a reasonable prove-it deal. Would be so down for Crabtree. For more speed... honestly, at this point I'd look to the draft.

  4. It's no Uber from Chicago, but I like it
  5. Ross Cockrell would be a good get.
  6. I highly doubt Mayfield makes it to 12. Too many QB-needy teams, regardless of whatever bridge QBs were signed recently.
  7. I get that, especially in the context of parenting. I'll be honest that I'm probably a bit more eager to pounce on a Bama fan, given that I am an Irish fan and watched that national championship game live... I still turn off Sweet Home Alabama to this day, despite liking Lynyrd Skynyrd. But I digress. I think with Mayfield, he has better than an average arm, his height is below average but nothing that will hold him back, and his off-the-field issues are not worrisome. I think Mayfield and McCarron both show signs that they could be successful in the NFL, and that they both possess the fire and drive you described McCarron as having. They both seem to motivate their teammates effectively. A lot of McCarron's success in college, while no doubt due to his play, is also the product of how stacked was his entire team. McCarron in college: 66.9% completed for 9,019 yards; 77 TDs; and 15 INTs Mayfield in college: 68.5% completed for 14,607 yards; 131 TDs; and 30 INTs Looks like Mayfield had a more productive, but less winning career than did McCarron. Like I said though, I think both have potential to be NFL starters.
  8. Seeing Jewell and Scales a lot. I would love to come away with one or both of them.
  9. I thought he would be a first day of FA signing for the Bills last offseason given the ties and match-up of need. If available and not too pricey, then why not?
  10. Loved the entire post until the needless comparison with and attempt to prognosticate about Mayfield.
  11. I just doubt they sign their back-up QB and then trade him right after. And I say that while personally thinking Fitzpatrick would be a good option to back up our rookie QB if we plan on starting him day one.
  12. My thought is that they would have just signed him as a FA if they wanted him.

  14. My guess is, yes, he has to pass a physical, and regardless, it still has to wait until after the deadline to become official. I think that is the case with all the reported signings, except those of released players.
  15. Or he left it standing twice...
  16. Dunno if LG or RG is weaker for them, but plugging Nelson next to Solder has to be appealing.
  17. Him or Rosen, please let it be him or Rosen.
  18. True, but that same thinking would prevent acquiring a talented offensive lineman because he doesn't score a lot of touchdowns haha
  19. I said compete.
  20. Could probably compete in ARI, BUF, CLE, JAX, MIA, and NYJ.
  21. Costs keep going up! He had comparable numbers to Taylor, who is getting paid $16 million.
  22. RapSheet misspelled Rachel
  23. Comp pick formula ftw
  24. Too high? Seems decent to me.
